In 2006, Sanada Rio lived in a country village where a missing person case took place. Rio later studied in the pharmacy department at a university in Tokyo. Now, at the age of 30, Rio takes the CEO position at Sanada Wellness, which is a subsidiary of Sanada Holdings. Rio’s mother runs Sanada Holdings. Rio receives attention from the media and public because of her young age as a CEO. Rio then becomes a material witness in a series of murder cases. The murder cases took place recently and is somehow related to the missing person case from 2006. Three lawyers on Rio's side try to protect her. Meanwhile, a detective, whose first love was Rio, chases after the truth behind the cases.

Playful, more extroverted ML who wears darker clothes flirts and tries to attract attention of stoic, white-wearing other ML who seemingly ignores his interest but is actually affected and despite not outwardly showing as much affection, he tries to protect him against dangers,

Both are short length historically set dramas with a BL feel about two MLs with different personalities and light/darker contrasted clothing reflecting their personality. Both try to protect each other.

I haven't watched this drama, but the plot sounds exactly like the plot to Ugly Beauty, except outside the film industry/ celebrity world.

Good guy that gets framed and goes to prison, he changes into a powerful guy. It’s Law drama as well. Lots of murder and corruption.

While very different in many ways, they gave off a similar vibe to me since both couples meet and begin their love story because of public transportation and it's the main setting/catalyst of the story.
