If you are looking for another fun and uplifting drama, I would recommend to watch Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. This drama has fun and unique characters and a funny plot. I have watched both dramas more than 3 times and i never get uninterested.

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo is also a love story that takes place in a university setting and just like Dear.M it has just the right amount of drama.

So if you liked Dear.M i strongly recommend watching Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo!!!

R U Next? and I-LAND Season 2: N/? are similar as they are both Mnet survival shows for girl groups Survival Show Format: Both shows use the Mnet survival format to form a K-pop girl group.
Connection to I-LAND: R U Next? was initially intended as I-LAND 2 by HYBE/Belift Lab before production issues led to R U Next?, making it a spiritual predecessor to the official I-LAND 2 (produced by The Black Label/WakeOne).

The Rise of Ning (2024) is frequently compared to The Sword and the Brocade (2021) and The Story of Ming Lan due to its similar "slice of life" harem drama formula, featuring a smart female lead (FL), a devoted male lead (ML), and a slow-burn romance. Both dramas focus on navigating complex family dynamics, scheming relatives, and finding love

It's okay to not be okay is darker and more goth without the comic breaks, but overall the themes are the same with the FL haunted by her mother's illness and the ML dealing with an autistic sibling and them finding each other after many years finding love , acceptance and trust amidst their many insecurities and vulnerabilities.

It's Okay, That's Love is one of the best dramas in this genre. A mature romance exploring complicated psychological traumas, a light hearted extended hospital setting and a great friend/ doctor support system laced with quirky dark humor. Great OST with an amazing ensemble cast and Acting! Overall quite similar to Can This Love Be Translated in the main theme, but emotionally deeper in its exposition of the past and present circumstances and what it can take to heal beyond just love and words!

Epic love story between the male and female leads while enduring extreme hardships. Life experience is needed to grasp the depth of both dramas. Masterpieces both (this includes My Dearest 2 which is just the continuation, not a second season, of My Dearest).

Both are uplifting workplace rom-coms where a resilient female lead enters a quirky corporate team (webtoon editors / financial regulators), blending office humor, coworker bonds, and light romance with career triumphs.
