Both dramas take place in the media world and in both dramas there is a very similar character. While in Big Issue the female lead represents someone cold and goal oriented, Pinocchio has the same character but as the female lead's mother, who is also focused on her goals and thus makes some very immoral decisions. Both dramas focus furthermore on a male character, whose family was destroyed by the media/his job in the media world.

Both shows are set within the telecommunications industry and explore ethical questions around news delivery. Both have spunky female leads who are passionate about reporting.

Both are about reporter. The political ugly truth and dark side of news media. The messy, hyrachy, the struggle of new reporters.

If you only focused on the news coverage part then this two drama are very similar, then only difference may be that Pinocchio did a better job incorporating many of the potential boom that we sense in Spotlight but that at the time the writers and directors fail to bring to fruition. Still I feel that it a great idea to actually watch Spotlight because you get a better appreciation of Pinocchio.

There are many difference but just one and only one similarity, and going towards the end it reminded me of Pino, which I wanted to forget so badly ok so the similarity is.

Both deal with a case 15year back....some wronged....etc

And all other differ - from how the leads are, to how the villians caught, to the emotional growth etc

I think the plots are somewhat similar. The leading men both had childhood traumas and the lading women both had a connection to the trauma. Then both men got jobs later on because of that trauma. I just thought of You're All Surrounded when I started to watch Pinocchio.

the genres is quite similar yet a little bit different. misty is slightly more matchure and heavy, but the both of them deal with similar subjects such as freedom of press, the importance of the news and powerful people trying to suppress the news or influance it. both have innocent people being framed as a means to hide others corruption using the media and connectors. both feacher the news station as the primary plot setting and use young reporters to uncover the truth and fight off corruption.

Pinocchio and Uncontrollably Fond give off a similar vibe. The shows focus on characters who's lives are intertwined in both the past and present and both shows deal with parental issues that may or may not affect the relationships between the main characters.

They have many similarities: overall mood, broadcasting station setting, dramatic siblings stories, etc.

It’s similar to class of lies because both of the drama’s are trying to find out what happened and people get kill in it.
They try their best to solve the mystery despite the fear of the truth.
I recommended class of lies because it’s interesting even though you think you know who the killer is you still will have second thoughts like ‘oh wait... is it this guy?’ Something like that.
I cried because of a scene it was sad I felt bad for her and wanted to save her myself but of course I can’t xD. I highly recommend it if you like kdrama’s that are mainly around students and mystery’s. Honestly I thought the main male lead was cool.

Both dramas are about the daily life of the reporters in the field and their news room activities. Pinocchio has the idol drama feel and is comedic with romance.
