The first episode of this drama is the classic story of a selfish, uncaring, lawyer who sees their staff akin to servants. The office manager has the hardest role and is long suffering. The twist is the jerk lawyer is a woman and the put upon office manager is a man. The lawyer gets outsmarted by her client and suffers a fall from grace. The end of the episode is after a 3 year time jump. Now the put upon office manager is a lawyer. Now the jerk lawyer is interviewing for an office manager. Cheok Hee’s arrogance and willingness to stretch ethics created the situation where she got played by her client, the wife in the divorce case. Frankly, she got used but was too blind to see it when it happened.

Looks good, very good~

I was pleasantly surprised about this drama or this episode. I actually had no interest in it and only started it bc of Yeon Woo Jin (whom I've seen and loved in Marriage, Not Dating) and Shim Hyung Tak (whom I've seen and loved in Persevere Goo Hae Ra). I thought maybe Woo Jin would spice up the plot with his funny expressions and that's exactly what happened! :D

So Jeon Woo is a likeable character who is not only working hard in the law office but actually is very aware of all the law paragraphs. That way he also appeared intelligent for me. He still is a little bit of a push over and clumsy. The only reason he failed the exam and was not able to become a lawyer is some kind of accident in the past, that's what we get to know in a conversation between Soo Ah, who is apperently his friend and fellow student, and Jeon Woos mother, whos wish is to marry Soo Ah to her son.
Unfortunatly his mother also can't let him visit the law school again bc of money problems, but there Soo Ah shoves her account book over telling the mother to let Jeon Woo attend the school again with it.

Jo Soo Ah is already a lawyer in a law firma under the father of what seems to be our second male lead Bong Min Gyu (I'm not fond of this name :/ ).

Bong Min Gyu even thought competent, seems not really interested in being a lawyer and israther bored by this. Still he is not a cold emotionless character. When a little girl was scolded by her mother for ruining his new expensive suit to tears he quickly gave the mother a lecture how one shouldn't hurt feeling of a child and comforted the girl.

Go Cheok Hee and Bong Min Gyu seem to have a past with each other that resulted Cheok Hee seeing him as a strong rival. But Cheok Hee is never intimidated by anyone. Not even Min Gyus suspicious father who threated her in a trial they met as apponents. Unfortunately not only she gets frauded by her client, after Bong In Jae fills a law suit for her, she loses her job too.
