I don't know what it is about Taiwanese romance dramas but I really like them. I like them so much I generally end up marathon watching them. This was a pretty decent story. The acting was good especially Ming Dao (you have a new fan) and Annie Chen, what a cutie! I kept wanting to pinch her cheeks! I enjoyed the love stories. The conflicts made perfect sense; however, as usual, the noble idiocy always drives me crazy and this was no exception. Lu Sen and Yu Bei, I was really vested in their love story. I especially love stories with no triangles, hello!! Do I think this should have been 30 ep? No, I think it would have been a better story with fewer. But overall, I was thoroughly entertained and rooted for the couples from the beginning.

A good vintage "classic" drama (soundtracks, costumes, hairstyles, makeup, ... are clearly outdated)

The story is well told, a little too melodramatic but that's the game, and the character development is well built.
The storytelling is slow sometimes, but it works.

On the other hand, the actors are excellent, all of them, including the secondary characters.
I admit I enjoyed Annie Chen's casting (very young and chubby :) and performance.

If you decide to watch it, you will have to be indulgent on the (many) clichés:
- ML handsome, rich, pressured by his family and competition for the succession,
- FL poor but generous, warm, who will win ML's love thanks to her big heart,
- poor but encouraging and warm family,
- rich unhappy because the family is disunited and demanding,
etc

Personally, I enjoyed this drama, even if I don't think I'll rewatch it (I rarely do, there are too many new dramas to discover :)
