Bok Nyeo gets married to a poor Joseon aristocrat and lives a hard life to survive. She pays for her family's living by catching caterpillars in a forest reserve. But she loses her job in the reserve and her husband disappears after borrowing money from a Chinese. In order to repay the husband's debt to the Chinese, she works at his vegetable farm.
