When I finished this drama…I cried a lot. This drama is based on a REAL STORY and words can't express how sad it was. The entire cast were GREAT. Yamada Ryosuke (Sasaki Ryohei) did a very good job! He is so talented and this drama proved it!! Also I really loved Yasuda Nurumi (Moeko) ’s interpretation! all the actors seemed really a family, the atmosphere was really touching and familiar! But I think that one of the main POINTS of this drama was the masterful interpretation by Yamada. He impressed me a lot!
And another important point is THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS. Ryohei's family is strong and united. No matter what, in every situation Mom, Dad and brothers were beside him and supported him!
Ryohei's friends are normal guys who admire Ryohei. but when he starts to feel bad, they lose the right path. They feel insecure and powerless. But thanks to the strong bond between them and Ryohei, they will be able to overcome their fears and help Ryohei to pass his time serenely.
There isn’t any OST in this drama, but the background music is appreciable.
I really recommend this drama. And prepare your handkerchiefs, guys.

This movie had me sobbing from beginning to end. It was such a beautiful, heartbreaking drama. If you like dramas that make you cry a river, then Okaasan, Ore wa Daijoubu is the drama for you.

The beauty of the drama

When watching this I felt like I can relate to Ryohei. When I was younger I had Ovarian Torsion. Which affects the ovary. It was on the left side. I was the youngest at the time, now I'm a middle child, but like him, I never showed my suffering because I thought I always had to act mature, I mind you I was 11 when this happened. Like him, I always acted stronger than I was. even so, I was in pain, but I never told my mom how the pain felt. I was scared, especially when they told me I needed surgery. I thought I would be affected by it, or worse die from it. But I never let my emotion show. I was always and still is the strongest in the family. To me, I had to mature at a young age due to having to take care of my mom or older sisters. While watching this, the story kind of represented me in a way due to always fighting and being strong for the family, so my mom or dad wouldn't be as scared. To this day I never really let my emotions show, which is unhealthy, but it's a habit. But after watching this, the lesson I learned from it is that it's okay to be spoiled sometimes, it's okay to show your emotions, and it's okay to be scared. This wasn't just a drama to me, it was a life lesson that I would keep in my mind forever. This is my first time crying so much in a drama, but probably because it kind of related to me. I'm sure whoever watches it next will enjoy it. They will laugh sometimes, cry most of the time, and be angry sometimes. I hope you enjoy the movie I sure did. thank you.

Why this made me cry so much

To be honest, there was not a single moment I didn’t cry. This hit a little too close to home too soon, but I continued watching even though I knew how it would end. Knowing that in the end, the main character dies, made me hurt so much because he wouldn’t be able to successfully fight this battle.

As I was watching, all I wanted and hoped for was for Ryohei to be able to play soccer again and to win his fight. Sadly, as shown in the beginning, he didn’t.

This is a truly sad special/movie. I don’t know why I decided to watch it because even a short clip I’d seen made me cry heavily before even knowing what this was called.

I recommend watching this when you’re ready for the sadness that follows. I feel that I felt way more sad than I probably would’ve a month ago, for something very similar happened to someone close to me recently. So this makes it a little more special and heartbreaking.

Absolutely TEARJERKER! (TT^TT) But I think it's better if they don't give the part from the ending at the movie's beginning. The sad part will be perfect if they do that.

I’m afraid I can’t say much about this movie, because you should watch it to see the beauty of this movie. Actually, because this movie is talk about illness and it’s a based on true story movie, I’m a bit afraid to watch it at first. I know this will be sad and I know I’ll be crying in the end. But, what really warmed my heart is the support of the family and the friends (in the end).

The casts acting was superb, first and foremost is Yamada Ryosuke’s act.

Well i'm just gonna start saying that i'm crying so much in this moment while writing.
It's not just the ending, the whole movie is so full of emotion that you can't help crying all the time, and when i say all the time i really mean it.
It's great really, if you're already feeling a bit sad this is just perfect for you because your emotion will be everywhere and you can't stop crying
Story is good, actors are really great, i really didn't know anything about Yamada but with this i love him!
The it's really a heartwarming and heartbreaking story, i've loved the three brothers, they are so relatable, i loved his friend, his coach
the music is really good too

well let's say you should really give this a try.
