Tetsuo Togami is in the 2nd grade of high school. Due to a fight, he is hospitalised. There, he meets Maiko Takashiro. She has an incurable disease. She also has a hearing disability and is unable to talk. At first, Tetsuo becomes embarrassed, but begins exchanging text messages with Maiko. The couple was really cute together and their story was touching and emotional. The performances were excellent too, which helped a lot with the movie. Especially the leading lady was pretty great and she had chemistry with her partner.
However, the story was pretty basic and predictable. Even though it was emotional, the scenes were cliche and melodramatic. The love story didn't have much time to progress either.
So, overall, six and a half out of ten.
