Horrible !

I am on episode 7 and ready to drop this drama. It literally makes me sick to my stomach.Like another commenter said, our ML does look like Liberace (the gay pianist),and his smile is really cringey to look at.Also,I hate how he calls her names and that she supposedly is emty on the inside, but he is chasing a married woman who chose money and fame over love. Now , Jia Ren keeps on whining about her life and how he needs to make her feel better,as he promised to do so.Like ,what....??!And this woman is better and kinder than Young Chae who put up with his lies over and over again (even begged him not to make the same mistake again, and of course he does it again), and fights against her evil uncle, Mr Park and trying to get along with her out of nowhere 7 year old brother?!So many things happening to her but he seems to be too preoccupied with that nasty, greedy woman, and now her doppelganger who all of a sudden he picks to replace our FL because, guess what,"The irresponsible Hwan Young Chae didn't know how to keep her promise" .This was his line after she didn't show up for the shoot because he messed up again, and she saved him again. But yeah, she is irresponsible and she is the one not keeping her promise, not him all the time. Are people who actually finished this drama and thought this is an OK series normal I wonder?
I was watching this drama for Lee Da Hae which I really love, but even her performance can't make me continue this.Zhou Mi is not only weird looking, but he's not a great actor either (I would say that he may be an ok singer)
The writers of this drama should retire!

I don't really recommend this.

I'll start this off by saying that the FL is the only reason I'd ever consider picking this back up. The acting from the other characters doesn't bother me like it does for some other people, and I genuinely enjoyed most of them, but what really ruins everything for me is the ML and the female antagonists. The ML gets so insufferable as time goes that he might as well be a different character after the first episode. Not only does the man constantly cause unnecessary issues in his and the FL's relationship, but he also always finds a way to blame it on her! When he was kissed another woman? FL's fault. When he berated and grabbed FL because he believed she'd sabotaged his chance at a role even though he had no reason to believe so? FL's fault. Even when he doesn't blame her he still doesn't apologize then acts like she's the problem because she's angry. It's all just so irritating since it's set up where FL is supposedly the selfish diva (she is sometimes earlier on) but she as of episode 8 has not been the cause of any of their issues. My only real issue with the FL is that she always forgives the FL seconds after he does something which makes me more upset. When the ML yelled at her about his role, all he did to make up for it was cook her breakfast! He never apologized and it was just never brought up again. It was so bad that I even enjoyed the male antagonist more than the ML sometimes. When it comes to the actor that plays both female antagonists all I have to say is that she seems to only be able to act out 1.5 emotions for both characters which makes me dislike them both even more. The actual story itself is ok-ish. The whole side plot of the evil uncle trying to sabotage FL and her dad being in a coma doesn't really need to be here since it seems like it'll only be focused on in the last few episodes and provides almost nothing to the story. I also don't see why they apparently killed the little brothers mother off if they were just gonna have FL dump him on her in-laws in the countryside even though he continually shows that he wants to be with FL. If they didn't really want FL to have a kid around all the time the could have just kept his mother alive so she could keep raising him and FL could just spend time with him. There's a lot more I could say that irritated me if I went back and reviewed every episode, but this is getting long so I'll end it here by saying that I'd only watch this if you're able to see past an irritating ML and a poorly executed storyline, because some of the other characters and most of all the FL are why I was able to even watch until ep 8.
Review summary: I don't recommend unless you're able to see past all of the bad (including the ML) for the little bit of good. Maybe I'll pick this back up soon, but I can't stand it at the moment.

The romance grows on you.

As of episode 7, this drama is similar to the movie Overboard with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. What is fascinating is the two main actors are speaking in different languages (Korean and Mandarin) and they worked well together to a point where I do not see a language barrier. A few others also interacted well together in the two languages. I am staying on to see how their relationship grows together. Getting pass the language differences, the interaction between the actors flowed well, and there is definitely chemistry between the two leads. There is also humour that helps. The music is definitely background that does not drown the dialog. Zou Mi looks like a cross between Choi Siwon, Ji ChangWook , and Lee MinHo; and his actor is great. I wonder why he is not in more dramas; I would love to see him in Korean or Chinese drama currently. I am going to binge on this drama. Great ending BTW.
Update: Dramavery has the mandarin voice over for the Korean speaking parts.

I barely started watching it, but there is only one thing that really bugs me. It's how most people in the movie are speaking Hanguk, and the main lead is speaking in Mandarin. I saw the cover having Chinese on it, so I clicked it but was surprised when I heard hanguk. Also, most of the actors and actresses are speaking in Korean, they should have just made it into a Korean Drama. The Chinese-Korean Drama thing isn't working for me. It just bugs me how they understand each other despite them speaking in different languages.
