Sweet like cotten candy.

From this day on when I look at cotton candy, or eat it, I will always be reminded how fleeting life and those we love are. That they can melt away. Thanks to this episode.

It was moving to see Min Ho make that connection as he spent time with his mother, Hee Ja. Which was a beautiful touch because Hee Ja and Jung Ah's story this episode felt off. Hee Ja and Jung Ah's friendship is something I adore about Dear My Friends. However, since the last cliffhanger I didn't care for it. I'll admit their plight made me laugh at some ponts, but overall it feels like such an overly contrived turn of events. Not to mention that it takes a away from this simple and sweet story.

So far the charms of Dear My Friends is the life of these older woman and they're family. Park Wan's drama was the big twist. But now I'm actually really nervous to see what happens. Either Hee Ja and Jung Ah are gong to jail and they're done. Or they'll drag it all out dramatically. But I'll keep the faith, I really enjoy what the show brings.

Park Wan's dramatic love story . . . makes me feel a little off. I pretty much guessed everything about it and I'm disappointed. I'm pretty sure the next episode will wrap up the rest of Park Wan's and Yeon Ha's story. I'm hoping Dear My Friends will pull a twist that won't make the whole love triangle between park Wan, Yeon Ha, and Dong Jin so . . . ugh.

This episode just didn't sit right with me. I actually enjoyed other side stories/teases more. Such as what Jung Ah's daughter was going through. Though I called it, they're phoning that plot in so far. Choong Nam is getting her GED! You go girl. Yeong Won really looks out for everyone. Especially all of the women's kids apparently.

So episode 4 has rolled around. I'm in, though I feel like the story could really fall apart. I hope the show can keep the sweet and warm feel it had up to this point. I loved the view points of the older women. I don't think they need to pull out drama twists to do it. I'm really nervous about Hee Ja and Jung Ah's stories. Not to mention that I really want to like Park Wan, but if her story goes the way I think it will . . . . well don't kill off all your lead stories! Right now I actually want more on the sub plots and characters.
