The joke fell flat.

Wow, that was a really bad joke. REALLY bad. I thought last episode I was doomed with this show and that I would have to give it up. But it was all a setup . . . for a bad joke. I do admire that it made the characters reflect on their lives and morals.

What brought Dear My Friends back on course was that we finally get to delved in the other characters! Especially Choong Nam! Despite myself I fell in love with her and was waiting for the development! Not to mention Yeong Won's past. I really want more friendship moments with Choong Nam Yeong Won! The few sprinkled in this episode wasn't enough.

Park Wan and Yeon Ha's love story went exactly how I predicted. (Sometimes hunches and previews for the next episode is all you need to spoil a show!) It's interesting that Yeon Ha is moving on after he finally got Park Wan to talk about his legs. Park Wan's reaction is interesting. (And who saw! The secrets are going to have to come out at some point.) I'm really hoping that there's more to her dumping her crippled boyfriend than because what her mom is telling her. She's with a married guy, so clearly disobeying her mom is not a issue.

Overall this brought me back on board. Though I really hope the writer doesn't do any thing like this again. I'm glad that we're diving deeper into the other main characters and the "older" people are hanging out. It's great to see them all having fun and to discover their past connections. This cast has such great chemistry together.
