Based on the manga "Museum" written by Ryosuke Tomoe published from July 2013 to January 2014 in Weekly Young Magazine is an interesting mystery film, the story is peculiar to hold attention.
Detective Sawamura is going through a bad way: his wife left him with his son, he more obsessed with his work than with his family. And then a serial killer appears: a mysterious person who is shutting down all the people related to a case in which Sawamura's wife was part. Sawamura will try to catch the killer before reaching his wife and son ... That's what I can do.
"Museum" has a pretty interesting idea that could have made a great feat for a great mystery, but the director and plot opted for the gore side of the force, making it a "poor" movie in the process. The plot is simple, with little originality or rhythm, and the "bad guy" is simpler still, without depth or interests. Not a good movie, at least in my opinion.
If "Museum" had gone into atmospheric mood, with mysteries in each character, it could have been a great movie. It ends up being a cheap action movie with little to offer the viewer, as well as a dark, sandy, saltless world.
