Nice drama but could've been better!

At first, I was a bit hesitant on watching this due to some of the low reviews it had. However, I'm quite glad I watched it. I'll try not to spoil anything or at least try to make it vague enough that it doesn't seem like I'm spoiling anything. First of all, this drama mainly revolves around sports. There are small cute romantic moments between the main characters but don't expect like some high-level romance in usual sports/romance dramas.

The story itself was quite interesting. The journey that Bai Cao had to go through to make it to the top and succeed with the help of Chang An. It's great that the drama showed some downfalls Bai Cao had during the journey because she was able to learn from it and become stronger. The one thing I was frustrated with was how the story mainly revolved around Bai Cao's growth but not the whole team. Like honestly, it was frustrating to see how the story made her team members look weak and Bai Cao, Chang An, and that one other guy are the strong ones that they can depend on to win the competition. They acted all so proud and tough that they win certain competitions yet they didn't even do anything but lose every match except Chang An and Bai Cao. I was so irritated just seeing them gloat and even losing every single time. I wish the drama had shown some growth in the other teammates as well than make them look as if they have to depend on Chang An and Bai Cao to win.

The acting was okay. I was mainly a bit irked with Ting Hao's character cause he seems overly dramatic in a lot of his scenes that it makes me laugh sometimes XD. Like, dude calm down take a chill pill LOL. The fight scenes were pretty interesting too. Although some fight scenes seem a little fake and unbelievable but idk I don't know much about this sport so lol.

I was quite disappointed with the ending. Literally, the last two episodes were pointless because they're all just flashbacks from previous episodes as if we don't remember anything that happened LOL. The last 5 minutes of the drama between Chang An and Bai Cao disappointed me since they didn't really get together in the end (the only spoiler ill give LOL). HOWEVER, by how it ended, I see it more as an open ending that gives the audience that there is a possibility that they will get together in the future. I feel that she is slightly developing some feelings for him but not fully yet since she isn't ready to open her heart yet and doesn't want to commit to Chang An until she's fully ready.

Anyway, overall it was a good drama!

I liked what they said about the new coach he Ji Chang Wook/Chang An has the traits greed and patience. Reminds me of his actions on “Healer.” New An Yue Xi/Qi Bai Cao lacks the feistiness, arrogance, gall and determination of Hu Bing Qing/Qi Bai Cao. I miss her. She fought every step of the way to claim her place in the Martial Arts world. This new actress has an aura of vulnerability and deficiency. Anyway just up to third episode. Lets see how she goes. The rich guy though he hasn’t been able to move her heart one iota. He does a lot of nice things for, but he’s too much. Don’t tell me she going to fall for the coach. She doesn’t fall for the coach. The coach falls for her but he waits very patiently he knows she’s not ready and doesn’t push himself forward.

Seven Tan/Fan Xiao Ying is such a gossipmonger. The is An Yue Xi/Qi Bai Cao Best friend.

Sean Chen./Fang Ting Hao doesn’t know that Ji Chang Wook/Chang An is training her at night and that is why her speed has increased so much. Why does she have coaches that have infirmities? That hair clip again is causing more trouble than worth. Now the coach is looking for a hairclip and she is already fighting. Finally he gets one off a girl in the street. She is so distraught when she loses it and she has lost it twice already. Now she has taken a kick to the head and her hairclip has flown out of her hair how is she going to cope with that. She won’t accept that her coach is dead. Maybe he isn’t. So she lost. Sometimes they need a loss to bring them back to reality. Like the All Blacks in 2007 way to over confident and broke the hearts of every New Zealander. She can’t get over her grief and believe that he’s still alive. He was buried at sea, Probably one of those floating coffin like things.

Guo Fiction/Lu Fei Yu a new guy has come into the drama. What’s his role? He’s looking for his long lost childhood sweetheart. Seems like its Hu Bing Qing/Qi Bai Cao, But he’s got a beef with the Karate Club she is in. Found out what the problem is. His and his family want to take over Song Bai (Karate Club). He’s character is really annoying in this drama but he is a bit of eye candy. I loved him in: “Accidently in Love.”

Ji Chang Wook is a really great actor his facials and his pain expressions are so clear. That hardnosed, tormented, arrogant, derisory coach has fallen in love with his student. Thats what happens when you live together solely for one whole month even when you don’t sleep in the same bedroom. It slowly works on your psyche to move your heart in some way, especially when you are performing stressful training routines. So many hugs after tense fighting bouts. The affection just builds up.

She has fought in Japan and now Singapore. I wonder where next in the first series they only fought in their own country China and Korea. Germany! France! Italy! Champion! has world titled right to participate in the Yuan Yu Dao CityYouth Championship. She have a achieved her first goal. She is going to Mexico next. No way in Rome she was attacked by hoodlums and they whacked her knee so now she got a knee injury. Get some crutches girl and stop putting pressure on it. Just revising, she was kicked out of Quan Sheng Club inn the previous drama series.

The coach Ji Chang Wook /Chang An is telling Hu Bing Qing/Qi Bai Cao how his leg got injured and how it got into the state it is now. That means it gets hurt easily. Reminds me of my grand daughter who injured her leg playing netball and every time she plays she hurts it again but does she stop playing no. Every time someone asks her to play in a social team she does and the same thing happens. She won’t stop because she loves the game too much. That is what this girls doing and now she’s giving back to him the same reasons he kept fighting with his injured leg.

This girl Zhao Yuan Yuan/Fang Ting Yi because of her lust for revenge, caused her own self to get into a vegetative state in a Karate Competition. The the girl our heroine Hu Bing Qing/Qi Bai Cao is getting the blame for it and her coach getting the worst of it but it was Zhao Yuan Yuan/Fang Ting Yi own fault. She Hu Bing Qing/Qi Bai Cao was taught never to give up and she didn’t. She was so shocked and disheartened by this she went into hiatus and stopped practising her sport for a whole year. That should heal up her knee.

I’ve finished this one at last. I enjoyed it but it had some pretty sad parts and I was shipping for the coach and his prodigy to get together but they didn’t. She was a sensation as Karate fighter but it was because of the way he taught her and she was phenomenon at learning each movement so quickly.

Her lost love was still in her heart and didn’t come back but that was blocking her feelings for any other person. I felt sympathy for Sean Chen/Fang Ting Hao. He was getting nowhere despite his besotted and almost obsessive love for her. He should have gone with her sister (Yu Ting Er/Qu Guang Ya)she had a thing for him. She was a nice girl and had no jealousy for sister who was getting everyones love and affections.

****A FEW MINOR SPOILERS *****

I REALLY LOVE THIS DRAMA!!!!
I usually am not interest in sports or martial arts movies or dramas. I decided to give this one a try for a change and that i wanted to try out a jcw drama. In terms of acting, everyone nailed it. I will say that i'm usually not impressed by female leads but she really did a great job. And Ji chang wook!!!!!! Oh my gosh, he made my heart race everytime he busted out those cool martial arts moves. This was my first drama of his and i will definitely be watching more! The only thing i wish they could have improved on was the ending. I wish the female lead could have just accepted jcw rather than him having to wait till she moves on from her past lover. But still it was kinda cute.
I would recommend this drama if you love martial arts. Even if you dont still give it a shot and try not to fall in love with jcw and the rest of the cast!

I guess this drama is not that bad... I LIKE it actually!
It was kind of weird to see the new Bai Cao on this sequel... was wishing that the "previous" Bai Cao still starring the drama... but after 4 or 5 episodes I eventually forgot and getting used to the new Bai Cao...

Overall the story are nice and sweet... I like how they pursue Taekwondo besides the romance story...
The only minus is the movie likes to rewind and rewind all the past stories and memories which kind of wasting time I guess...
But still I like the sweetness there...

Regarding the incomplete ending, the unfinished clues and Luo Bai matters, I guess the writer of this drama must be really want to make a quite long sequel :) but I don't mind... I will be waiting for the 3rd sequel :D
The only thing I'm curious is how they will end Bai Cao's romance eventually... ^.^

Most irritating, sadistic and immature drama

Even After seeing so many negative comments still I decided to watch this drama because I thought this drama covers so many areas like wood carving, martial arts and ice sculpture. But this drama contains nothing.
Most irritative characters (especially female lead), most shameless male lead character and immature direction. So many times I thought to punch to both the ML and most irritative female lead. At least I expected the serious martial arts but it is entirely opposite, they have made fun of martial arts by making joke in the dojo, without discipline and sometimes they have treated like party hall.
Especially from Chinese drama I didn’t expect this kind of silly direction in the martial arts.

I totally love this drama. This led me to curiosity. I was so curious to know who "Ruo Bai" was. So I searched for the whirlwind girl and it was daebak. I love the story of action , martial arts, romance, friendships and youth. After watching the tornado girl 2 ep 4 I started watching season 1 and gosh I finished all the episodes in 4 days. I liked Qi Bai Cao personality and how she met friends whom cares and loves her. The only thing I hate in season 1 is that why did writer kill Ruo Bai he was such a eye catching person and him himself. Yang yang (ruo bai) character was just breath taking. ugh, I can't get over it.

But season 2 is also awesome. Ji Chang Wook , come on he is everyone's love. Including me. I hope this will be successful. And I hope that no one get hurts while doing martial arts.

I love the genres since I'm a taekwondo player (black belt)

There are so many questions that was left unanswered first was about Ruo Bai, I think Ruo Bai is still alive in America because due to the fact that Yu Chu Yuan can't leave one patient I don't remember what episode is that when Hu Yi Feng and Chang An was having a conversation when Chang An asked Hu Yi Feng if he saw Yu Chu Yuan in America and Hu Yi Feng said yes and Chang An asked again why Yu Chu Yuan can't go back to Song Bai ( the name of their hall) because of one special patient that Yu Chu Yuan can't leave and I believed that it is Rou Bai that they were talking about especially when Hu Yi Feng asked Chang An what he will do if Ruo Bai comes back. Second was that when Lu Fei Yu say something about Qi Bai Cao was looking for her brother in episode 17 but Qi Bai Cao can't remember the she has a brother (I guessed that Chang An is her brother haha) . Third is that I also want to see if Fang Ting Hao succeed in his mission to destroy Fen Yung hall. I really hoped there will be a season 3 and all the questions will be answered. I want that season 3 that Ruo Bai will be back and he will fulfill her promise to Qi Bai Cao in season 1 that they will fight together in National Championship.

My first try at a Chinese youth drama. If you watch this drama you should be aware it's about the sport, the training philosophy, the competitions and the hall. There are hints at romance but it is very, VERY CHASTE.

Trigger warning applies to this drama. In fact some romantic elements are extremely problematic and abusive. Continuous emotional blackmail into relationships etc. Also, I tried to see past that both her coaches were into her and were pursuing her. This is a big NO NO when a student is in a dependent situation towards a teacher. I understand the romantic fantasy trope this is. But coupled with the emotional blackmail it just became too much.

Good production value, nice OST, fun competition and a pretty ok story until the last two episodes where we aren't given answers and a great deal of the side characters stories aren't wrapped up.

In the end I am really disappointed with the investment I felt I had with her friends and no solutions to their problems. Everything was loose ended (not even open end).

Rewatch value is low. In fact you can just watch the last two episodes and you'll get the whole drama in endless flashbacks.

Nice drama the cast is perfect
voices r awesome ,,,in unexcpected way ,,,,
storyline is good with fast rythum
The only problem is that we r still connected and attracted to the male main role of the past season
If u can handle that ,this drama will be more than good enough to watch it
