Bakabon (Okarina) lives with his Papa (Ueda Shinya), Mama (Matsushita Nao) and younger brother Hajime-chan (Hayasaka Hirara). His bumbling Papa is a free spirit, hates lies and does not have a regular job while his beautiful, kind Mama lovingly watches over Papa. Honest and naive Bakabon and child genius Hajime-chan love him too. The family gets along well and lives happily. One trouble after another occurs around Papa and people get caught up in the uproar. Strangely enough, the bonds of the respective families deepen right after that. One day, when Papa is on a bus, an elderly lady gets a phone call. She is asked to bring money to her grandchild. It seems that she is being cheated in a “It’s me, It’s me!” scam. While the passengers on the bus are worrying for the elderly lady, Papa declares all of a sudden, “Leave it to me!” When Papa and the elderly lady get off the bus, she gets another phone call pestering her for money. Papa takes the phone and announces, “I’m Bakabon’s Papa!” Then he gets the reply “It’s Bakabon” from the person at the other end of the phone. Believing that Bakabon is in need of money, Papa ends up doing as he is told by the caller and takes away the money that the elderly woman has. Then, a passing motorbike snatches the money and gets away. Papa starts to give chase. He gets into the car of Mitsuo (Fujiki Naohito) who is taking his pregnant full-term wife to the hospital. Adapted from the manga; Tensai  Bakabon is a series of manga and anime created by Fujio Akatsuka, which  began to be published on April 9, 1967 in the Weekly Sh?nen Magazine. These  are the misadventures of an evil boy (Bakabon) and his insane father,  the last of whom eventually becomes the central character. The official name in English is Meet the Boneheads. Four  anime series were produced, with the first two series produced by Tokyo  Movie Shinsha and the first two produced by Studio Pierrot. In  preparation for Akatsuka's 80th birthday, the magazine Dengeki Bazooka  has performed a sequel to the series entitled Shounen Bakabon, where  Bakabon finally goes to school and befriends a new cast of characters. However, with the discontinuation of Bazooka in early 2016, the fate of the series is left in the air. Technically  live action is well structured, faithfully following the manga, the  comic and irreverent family is represented by a good cast, convincing  acting as well as the cinematography that faithfully follows the  scenario of the manga.
