huh....
Very typical makjang. It follows the exact formula without attempting anything new. They over done it for how much the baddies can get away with, there should be some balance. The cast didn't help either to keep the drama afloat. Some of the camera angles were too weird, the actors were looking point blank centered directly to the camera. Was this review helpful to you?
I wasn't a big fan of the main protagonist and antagonist portrayed as binary opposites, Ji Yoo embodying purity and kindness and "Cha Seo Rin" being jealous and vengeful. It makes sense given that the main theme is revenge but I find it unappealing when characters are given a set of characteristics that make it too easy to pick a side.
Oh Min Suk, the actor does a good job, but the character himself annoyed me most of the time. I also feel that Park Bok Ja, the maid, overdoes her part and Ji Yoo is two-dimensional.
Up until I gave up, there was a good amount of slapping scenes. Funny to watch (I'm being sarcastic) but I think the recipients move their heads to early?
The soundtracks are alright but not my cup of tea.
I have seen drama's up to a 100 episodes (some way more) and finished them, so I guess I just lost genuine interest in this one. It's predictable and reminds me of another drama, Two Mothers. My mom is strict and still wants to finish it so I'll just have her update me on how the plot evolves.
