Both dramas have this similar female main character.

Lee Min Ho stars in both dramas as the main character, but of course, not the same character.

Both have a misunderstanding of gender or sexual orientation and an exploitation of trust between the leads that are very similar and both are comedies. If you enjoyed one you'll most likely enjoy the other.

Both dramas are similar in reversed kind of way; in Down with love female lead is pretending to be gay and in Personal taste male lead is pretending to be gay. Both dramas have situation where lead is in desperate need of job/housing and that's why they end up pretending being gay because they at first thought they don't like the other lead and it would be totally harmless. Due to this many funny situations occur and leads end up falling in love even though the other lead is still assuming her/his crush is gay.

In Down With Love, the lead girl pretends to be a lesbian in order to get a job as a nanny. In Personal Taste, the lead guy pretends to be gay in order to be the lead girl's roommate. Not surprisingly, these people fall in love.

In both dramas the female is a messy woman who lives in a house build and created by her father, whom she lost. She also lost her mother at young age. She has passion and talent for her job, but is lost in there too. Then the male lead enters her house and life and changes them, while living with her.

The 16-year old Nagisa is her sister's stepson, suddenly sent to live with Ai when his parents left for an overseas job. have the same actress as the female lead, even if the situation is serious, she can still pull off a great funny scene
