The Merciless (2017)

Main leads gets taken in by a gang leader.
Main lead become one of the gang leaders trusted members.

Both are about organized crime and share a lot of the same themes. While watching the movie I found a lot of similarities between the two.

Both are quite dark featuring prison, gangsters, violence and death. They both also contain a surprising plot twist and ending. I personally believe that someone who liked Bad Guys will also like The Merciless.

First I would like to mention that the merciless is a movie. But it is one of the most thrilling movies i have ever seen.

As well as Im Siwan has been playing his role in Strangers from hell as good or even better he played the MC in the Merciless. It is a dark and complex role. The movie too has overall a dark theme but the plot is quite different from Strangers from Hell.

Give it a try, I swear you shall not be dissapointed.

- The plot is similar as it gives the similar vibes
- ML is an Undercover Cop (TWOE - Drug Trade , TM - Crime Organization)
- ML tries his level best to catch criminals before his identity getting exposed

Male leads in both movies enter gangland as undercover cops and befriend their criminal co-workers. Both productions have a similar plot - unfortunately I cannot reveal more without spoiling either of these films. If you liked one of them, you'll likely enjoy the other one too

I feel some kind of similarities in the atmosphere...

The relationship in One Ordinary Day between the ML and the king of the prison made me think about The merciless (but we'll have to see how the drama evolves haha)

Same vibes, the trust and betrayal issues, killed family and revenge! finally that bloody ending! And instead of that little romance there's bromance! ..

The main character goes to prison in both shows. In the Merciless to catch a prisoner for his crimes. In Big Mouth the main character goes to prison cuz he was framed of being the ,, Big mouse``.

- ML goes to prison as Undercover for investigation/be friendly with other Criminal King inmate
- Faces many obstacles & needs to survive in the prison with other criminals
- Finding truth about the investigation he's doing

Both of he main characters goes to prison. After being released they both have a dark side they got while being in prison . The genre of the movies is similar. The plot is similar ( kind of ). If you liked shark : the beginning you might like the Merciless

I know more eye candy leads lmao Siwan's character is not as innocent as Ji Chang-wook's but The Merciless is never ending thrill with characters you'll hate yourself for falling in love with.

If you're looking for epic bromance with fantastic action and a strong story with a soul, watch this.

Both beautiful films about people who have their own moral code and the gritty reality of their existence. Both are just perfect in my opinion.

Both movies have a cop undercover in a prison as the main character.
The Prison takes place almost fully in a prison while The Merciless skips around a lot.
The Merciless is definitely darker but it has a really good plot that makes you never know what is going to happen next.
Both are great movies.
