A General, a Scholar and an Eunuch (2017)

I went into this show with pretty low expectations, but it was one of the funniest I watched last year. The comedic over-acting was so well done it made me laugh instead of cringe. I liked all the actors, the settings, and the overall vibe.

The plot is a bit wishy-washy; it comes and goes in importance, but always comes back around to at least loosely tie together. Intrigue comes into it later and things get more complicated in ways that may not always make total sense, but are guaranteed to be funny.

Just shelve a little bit of your brain to watch and this is a 10/10 comedy for sure.
