The year is 1930, when Shanghai is known as the Paris of the East with a thriving economy. However, behind the glamorous songs and dances, cruelty and terror get out of control. From the Marco Polo Bridge incident to the Battle of Shanghai, the Chinese Army fought bravely against the Imperial Japanese Army. In the city, the Japanese army destroys many media outlets among Chinese troops, even private radio stations in Britain and France must register to operate. Cinematographically  the film is very good, not being a big fan of period films I can assure  you that "Eternal Wave" really pleased me, cinematographically is  perfect, we see scenarios rich in details, camera movements that give a  sense of reality. The soundtrack though is not something that surprises, it's nice, the cast felt good, yet acting did not convince me. As  the story of "Eternal Wave" is very well aligned within the premise,  solid, engaging and mostly well polished, there are no loose ends nor  highs and lows.
