It's much better toward the end

This series barely got an 8 from me... to be honest, I started watching because I wanted to see more of Leo Luo/Luo Yun Xi! When I saw him playing the Night Immortal (aka fish fairy haha) I fell in love with his ability as an actor to convey the feelings of his character with such incredible sincerity. For me, falling in love with a character is all about an actor's ability to bring that character to life. So sometimes my favorite character doesn't even have to be or only be the leads.

Now, this series does have it's beautiful gems, Huang Jue Jie as Bai Sheng is one of them, but I really didn't see improvement & strength in the story and acting until later episodes. It was like we were finally getting to the main dish of meal and you get caught up in it that you might forget the not so great parts haha and that's kind of what happened for me. But I didn't forget those parts, did you?

Luo Yun Xi is such a powerful actor when conveying emotion, I just couldn't take my eyes away when I saw him in the remaining episodes. But at same time something strange happened with the script where characters forgot things that were revealed between episodes or didn't attempt an ability they had that would've resolved a dilemma they were facing. I have to say the ending was solid, and made me feel I didn't watch all 22 episodes for nothing but I won't be rewatching this. Maybe only certain parts of episodes that impressed me most but definitely not the whole thing.

I watched like really watched only till ep 12 because I couldn't find the rest with Eng Sub on Youtube, and I KNOW that I can watch on another web but they kept on buffering it's driving me nuts!! Since I can understand a little bit of Chinese I kept on watching a few eps on Youtube to grasp what's happening next AND I couldn't believe it (please correct me if I'm wrong) that the guy's ex gf appeared and he apparently hadn't moved on or at least he still has feelings for her and suddenly his lost memories came back voilaaa.... For the last ep's sake I looked on another web with Eng Sub because I need to understand what the hell is going on, and damn that ending made me curse f*** that's it?!?

Oh on a different note, I swear the main girl resembled Tiffany Tang from Princess WeiYoung a lot even her voice!!

Just Awful!

I started to watch Screen Foxes despite the negative reviews because I thought that Leo Luo, who impressed me in Ashes of Love could add a redeeming value to this show. I was wrong. The female lead was annoying, Annoying, ANNOYING! Her idea of acting is trying too hard to be cute, but she CANNOT ACT. I watched the first 2 episodes, (couldn't stand it), then the middle (couldn't stand her), then the last episode (just to see how it ended, but it was so unremarkable that I have forgotten it). Don't waste your time, and don't watch any drama if that female lead is in it.
