Sean is a Chinese-American amateur surfer in Hawaii who, after a series of bad relationships, is afraid to open up his heart again. Things change when he comes across a kind-hearted tattoo artist named Emily. She's beautiful, yet down-to-earth, a good girl with a mild playful side. Everything is perfect until, one day, Emily confesses that she is a 'nail clipper monster,' a special sub-type of humans that only eats nail clippers. But Sean finds this very hard to believe. Can love help him override his suspicions and make him trust her and this tall tale? Add Synopsis In Portuguese

Sean, a surfboard maker so desperately romantic that when he suffered a surfing accident after breaking up with his girlfriend (Tiffany Hsu Wei-ning), his friends assume it is a suicide attempt. All is, however, well again when he falls in love with the witty tattooist Emily (Zhou Dongyu).
The cinematography is vibrant and colorful the narrative fences between a fantasy novel and a funny but sad story of a good man being immobilized by the love of his partner. The cinematographic trick gives a peculiar charm. Overall "Nail Clipper Romance" is a bittersweet and sometimes ridiculous romantic fable within the context of the story.
