THE STORY
The story is about an obese guy who decides to undergo plastic surgery to try to win back the girl who left him at the altar. There is a connection between all the main characters. Having a fat turn into a handsome guy is not a common theme you see in most dramas. I'm not a big fan of plastic surgery for myself. I don't really care what others do. The ending was satisfying for me.
THE CAST
I haven't watched too many t-dramas so I'm not as familiar with the actors. But I think the main characters played their roles well.
THE MUSIC
The music was okay. Nothing really special.
REWATCH VALUE
I would totally re-watch this. It was cute and nice and short. Good for getting out of a drama slump.
OVERALL
I gave it a 9. I took a point because they have a bunch of annoying characters.

The drama had the romantic comedy that people would look for with some drama in between. It is a good watch if you want something short and not so dramatic. The love story was good and the chemistry was also good. It maybe could have seemed a little slow paced. The supporting characters made it a little annoying at times. I mean if one can get passed some flaws in the drama it is a good watch. It does teach you to love yourself just the way you are and just because you change your outer appearance, that does not mean people will just love you because people care about personality not just about if you look beautiful/handsome. The message was good and effective. There are somethings that the writers could have done better with like discussing if Tie Nan ever felt guilty for what he did to his childhood friend. They also made his friend really shallow and not caring at all about anyone else but himself and there was little to no improvement on that part near the end. THey rushed the end way too much that things were left unexplained. We never know if the person who was the main actresses enemy ever gets fired or anything and basically Ruo Wei just gives up completely and lives in the countryside when ever since the beginning she has wanted to just be a Chief Surgeon. Also, we never see Tie Nan fully make up with his father after all the years of just being on bad terms because of a misunderstanding. Tie Nan's friend never fully gets a closure with Ruo Wei or Tie Nan. He is basically left in the dark. Ruo Wei never shows interest in him regardless of what he does for her and Tie Nan never apologizes for what he did to him as a child. Was this review helpful to you?
The story itself is quite fictional where an obese man is transformed into a handsome fit man by a plastic surgeon. But if you look past the medical miracle it is a very sweet story. As always it gets very sad towards the end but they recover happiness at the end.
There is also the element of medical politics which is sad to watch, as one sees qualified and expert surgeons being played by directors for business. But then, plastic surgeons are all about entertaining rich customers' vanities more than any other kind of medical doctors.
