in both theres a teenage pregnancy plot where the character, whose pregnancy their parents dont approve of, is taken care for by another family to later become the parents of the child. Complications arise

Stories about teenage boys looking for their biological parent, who they thinks might not be dead unlike of what they were told. They also have a female friend theyre really close to who is involved in finding the parent and they bond with their mother (figure) after not exactly getting along with her.
