The story tells that of the young Tsujiguchi couple who, loses their daughter to murder. The father, Keizo, secretly blames his wife Natsue for her being with another man during the incident and not properly watching their child. Instead of confronting her with his suspicion he holds his pride and schemes a grievous revenge. His torn wife has found life again when Keizo arranges for them to adopt a baby girl, allegedly to forget their pain. ~~ Adapted from the novel “Freezing Point” (氷点) by Miura Ayako (三浦綾子).
