After recovering, Lu Yi enjoys Jin Xia's new, more informal behavior with him. He scolds her for giving back his bracelet and puts it on her again. Lu Yi continues to pretend he is 8 yrs old while looking for evidence. Later when it is revealed that Lu Yi has recovered, Xie Xiao is angry. Shangguan is upset about Xie Xiao breaking their engagement officially. She sets off to see Xie Xiao, in person. Shangguan is irritated because Yang Yue has followed her. Lu catches Liar Lan's Master red-handed, as well as collecting evidence and arresting the monk that tampered with the Emperor's medicine. At court, the case is discussed and old Yan, not to be outdone by the Lu family, offers to test all future batches of the Emperor's medicine. Young Yan's men start to look for Dr. Lin Ling.
