Many inconsistencies, focus on side plots spoiled the watch experience
Though this is an old drama ,I happened to watch only recently. As an avid lover of period dramas, i started watching this the moment i found it has good rating on IMDB. The initial episodes were very interesting but the romance breaks right from 4th episode or so. Then the total focus is on politics, revenge , bloodshed and more bloodshed made me lose interest. Still I completed watching it.Plus points- Good acting by all the actors and good locales. Park Si Hoo sizzles in his role and is very likeable. Actor playing Su Yang evokes sympathy with his emotions display. Sok Ju( the guy with long mane) is another interesting character.
Minus points( In my opinion) Too much focus on sub plots, too much blood shed, Too many characters, less focus on the main lead's romance etc.,
1. Why does the Crown prince wears the Red robe instead of the blue robe worn in other dramas? Both the original Crown Prince and Su Yang's son wear the Red robe
2. When the Se ryong akes the arrow protecting Seung Hu, why nobody suspects it? Her father just stands and stare but doesn't rush to her( he has just taken an arrow but has an armour)
3. When the assassins kill Kim Jong Seo and slash Kim Seung Hu multiple times with a sword , he still.survives without any medical treatment and comes to Su Yang's house. In fact, he is injured multiple times but survives miraculously while others die instantly
4. In the end when Se Ryong takes the horse to go and tell Seung Hu about the plan, why don't the soldiers follow her on another horse. Did they have only one horse? It defies logic. It was much easier to follow her and locate Kim Seung Hu instead of venturing into woods and getting ambushed. In fact almost in every fight scene, the royal soldiers get killed by the rebels even though they are large in numbers. Are their skills so inferior?
5. Seung Hu roams freely in the capital and nobody notices him?
6. At the end Seung Hu is declared dead and taken for burial. How did he survive?
How did he lose his eye sight?
7. The background music seems familiar. Remember hearing it in some other film or drama( not korean)

Is it only me?
Is it only me that is so annoyed and greatly irritated that Lee Se Ryung can't seem to tell the truth even when he is being utterly honest? She already ruined his life with her lies due to her impulsive immaturity and self indulgence but continues with lies even when Kim Seung Yoo admits he will forget the past and listen to his heart. I mean he is basically talking to a complete stranger because everything she has told him up until this point is a big, fat lie. I want to make it through this entire kdrama but the lies are really getting to me.Was this review helpful to you?

Unos de los dramas más románticos( Una obra maestra)
Tenía ganas de ver este este drama desde haces años pero siempre leía comentarios de que era trágico.Razones para ver.
1 Te atrapa desde el principio
2 Grandes actuaciones Park Shi Hoo interpreta muy el hombre feliz y despreocupado al hombre triste y vengativo
3 Desarrollo de personajes a lo largo de la historia
4 Gran química entre la pareja de protagonistas ( realmente viven sus personajes)
5 Park Shi Hoo que guapo y que bien le queda el traje de erudito ,y el con el cabello largo mejor y
Moon Chae Won hermosa y conmovedora cuando llora.
6 Amor indestructible que lo soporta todo, dar la vida por el otro
7 Historia de venganza
8 Una versión de Romeo y Julieta pero más profunda
9 Una obra maestra que se quedará guardada en tu corazón
10 Satisfecha con el Final
SPOILER(Realmente aplacé este drama porque estaba segura de que alguno de los protagonistas moría ,y en el capítulo final literalmente te engañan con el final primero parece que mueren los dos y después te das cuenta que que se hacen pasar por muertos.
Quizás si me hubiera gustado que se hubiera hecho justicia con todas las muertes que provocó Su Yang, pero siento que vivió con la culpa de haber matado a su hija estando embarazada y con pesadillas terribles por todas las muertes que causó.
Me conmuevo con mucho con el protagonista eligiera a Lee Se Ryung y a su hijo por encima de la venganza si hubiera matado a su padre le habría causado un daño terrible a ella, Spoiler((que triste que se que quedara ciego)),
MI escena preferida es en la cascada cuando ella recibe la flecha por el y ves como lo mira se puede llegar a sentir su amor por el ( no parece que actuado).

Las actuaciones también muy bien, todos los personajes muy bien interpretados.
