Not what i was looking for...
Nothing wrong with this drama I just think it wasn't made for me.The start was promising and interesting but it went downhill pretty quickly. I don't know if it's maybe a miscast of just the show itself but it felt pretty childish. Like I was listening to captain hook or another Disney show. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy Disney movies and shows, I just could not get into this one. During the few episodes I've watched I didn't find myself being nervous about the main characters, there wasn't any stake and I knew they would get themselves out of the situations.
One of the good points is that the show features really cool sword fighting scenes. I think it's one of the best fighting choreography that I've seen as of yet and I wish to see more in future shows.

Not My Cup of Tea
I don't understand. If it wasn't I want to watch Wang Yibo and Zhang Huiwen's acting, I wouldn't have watched this much. The story and plot don't improve at all since the beginning. Too dragging and boring for me.But what bothered me the most was the character of Fei who was too Mary Sue. She wasn't perfect at the beginning of the story, but under the big names of her grandfather and mother made her get all kinds of convenience. Everything seemed to be held on the red carpet just for her.
I decided to stop watch and continue with another drama. Sorry Yibo, even seeing your acting can't make me continue.
NB. There was nothing wrong with Zhao Liying's acting, only the script and the story not my cup of tea.

Boring story
Not interesting to watch. Story writing is really boring. Wasting time. Just wanted to watch because FL and ML. But finally gave up on episode 20.Acting: Acting and cast are good. FL and ML ask no more. Plus the Li Sheng and Chuchu are really good. FL make up is too much, a-fei looks old and exaggerated.
Story: no definite purpose. Cannot bring the audience into the story. Watching this felt so long. Talking too much. Many scenes are blurry, but suddenly casually joking in the middle. Criminals are also stupid, chasing prey when caught instead of saying nothing. really makes no sense

Don't waste your time.
As much as I loved the main actress in story of ming lan. she is absolutely can't do action, their facial expressions, the cut scenes, the fighting scenes are just so silly. she has the same face for everything, no chemistry between the characters. Its not an engaging show at all, i wanted to like it. after episode one, i couldn't watch it without pausing it for hours. just don't watch it. its a silly show.music was really good though, but some of the worst acting i have seen in a while, worse part is, they are A tier actors, must be the director.

Immature casts ruined the whole drama
Legend of Fei is a popular drama, where you fei in her young age meets Xie Yun. You fei in drama looks older than Xie Yun 😐 The director could at least cast someone older and more matured than Yibo. His acting as Xie Yun is not up to the mark,I expected someone more jolly and enthusiastic. But Yibo disappointed me. As a fan of Zhao Liying, I will continue watching the drama, but so far I am disappointed af.Now the production, it was really below my expectations. The lighting, graphics is cheap. The costume is shabby too. Nothing impressive.
I don't know whether I can continue watching the drama or not but seems like I might drop this.

Horrible; Saving Grace is the Cast
I absolutely abhorred this drama. The only saving grace, as the title states, is the cast. Yibo and Liying are fantastic actors; they save the drama. Most of the other cast has pretty poor acting in my opinion, and the storyline is messy and has no clear logic. There are several fight scenes that don't make sense in choreography and overall reason for fighting. If you're here for the actors-- go ahead, this storyline really manipulates them in a way where you see how good of an actor they are. But otherwise, definitely not worth the watch. Very poorly written. Was this review helpful to you?
Can be watched Later
I must say that this drama series is not that bad but there is something I am looking for in every drama I am watching. I can't find it in this drama.Anyways, maybe in the future I'll continue watching this drama. It is just that right now, I wanna watch dramas that can really fully motivate me to enjoy my time watching them.
The settings, cgi, costumes, acting and fighting scenes are quite good too.
I have watched The Untamed, Ashes of Love, Eternal Love, Love & Redemption & Nirvana in Fire and Word of Honor. They're all the best for me.
I have dropped Rise of Phoenixes & Joy of Life coz' theyre kinda lack something for me.
This drama Legend of Fei, is a neutral drama. I can continue watching this in the future but not now.

The 21st century deserves a better quality of production and acting
I started watching this drama because I like wuxia. I stopped watching it because I like wuxia and I want it to stay that way. Legend of Fei advertised itself as a quality production, meanwhile I got the quality of cheap web drama with plastic plants, horribly unsuccessful CGI and fight scenes where it's just plain that they were made by doubles, not actors. The actors themselves also act as if they were there for punishment and dreamed only of being anywhere but on the set of this drama. Their acting is emotionless, expressionless and based on a few perfectly trained facial expressions - three or four, which they change depending on whether the scene is thromantic or an action scene, but there is no difference anyway. The music lacks any individual features and sounds like music to hundreds of other c-dramas. Actually You Fei is a production below average, it is distinguished by the fact that due to the popular actors it had a very large advertisement, which only increased the disappointment of the viewer, who is not a fan of actors but of the genre.I had a hard time making it to the second episode, but not the end of it. I watched the episode and a half suffering aesthetic torture.

First Impression of Legend of Fei
I'm 4 episodes in and I have more Cons than Pros when it comes to this drama. This first impression is based on the drama only, I have not read the book.Cons:
1. FL. Her acting is off sometimes in these early episodes. Like she's going through the motions. Is she supposed to be this wooden and stoic?
2. FL's false eye lashes are distracting. She has rather large eyes to begin with and she doesn't need the extra thick eye liner and fake lashes.
3. Costume for the FL seems too modern. She wears slim black pants and a short robe, which looks almost like a jacket, while almost everyone else wears a calf length robe. The designs of the jacket are too modern, like jackets one would see on boy band performers.
4. Villains have the craziest eye brows I've seen in a C drama
5. A couple of the scenes are too unrealistic. Yes, I get that this is a fantasy drama, but she gets whipped by her mother and doesn't suffer any major damage. While the ML is imprisoned, the two are just having a long chat through a hole in the prison wall. WTF?
6. ML is too much of a baby face. He looks way too young for FL. I'm aware that there is a 10 year age gap between the two main leads.
Pros:
1. I appreciate that the some of the wigs have white hairs. In most of the C dramas that I've watched, it seems that everyone has jet black hair into their 60s.
2. I first saw Wang Yibo in the Untamed and wanted to watch him play a character different than Lan Wangi. Nice to see him play a character different than his real life persona.
This is just my first impression. If I continue with the drama, I may revise my review.

Es macht also immer Spaß beim zuschauen.
