It could've been better

Okay. So this show started out kinda slow for me like the set up just wasn't great. To be honest, I think they just kind of threw us in and then expected us to feel this family dynamic with this group of people that we weren't sure how or when they got together. So that kind of set me off first thing. Also I feel like in some ways the show wasn't sure what it wanted to be. It was really light hearted at the beginning and then became really intense at the end. Which is why I started to like it more near the end. I really did feel like there was aFamily dynamic once we concluded. I just feel like we should have set it up better at the beginning. Another thing that had no purpose was that they kept hiding the villain. Every time you saw his face, it would be concealed and then, when they finally revealed it, we had no idea who he was. We'd never seen him before. They kept kind of making it seem like we knew him but we didn't know him. So I didn't know what the point of shrouding his face was. The main cast was incredible. All 4 of them were amazing together and separately. I loved it more as it went on. I loved the family dynamic, but once again I wish we had set that up better in the first couple of episodes because we don't know when they got together how long they've been we have just have no idea and then it slowly starts to piece together at the end. But because of that some of the heart and humor at the beginning felt unearned but once you just accepted that this was a group that had been together for a while the ending was so sweet and heartwarming. You really rooted for them as a family. All that said I really believe had the show taken time to set up everyone's connections better and earlier it would've went from a 8 to a solid 8.5 maybe even a 9.

I don’t get the rave

I liked the cast for the most part. But the hacker, although I liked his acting and ability to be humourous, I hate his hacking acting, it honestly really lowered my rating. And although this drama is shorter than the usual 16 episode, the story felt like it was too dragged on. I almost dropped it. I liked Ah-ryeong’s character but I wish she was given more action scenes or just more scenes to showcase her tricks/skills besides Hari. Like his character overshadowed everyone else. His acting was good.

Team of scammers looking for justice

Song Seung Heun the coolest one but the rest of the team was fantastic too.
This guy who wants to find out the responsibles for the death of his prosecutor's father, an accident that occured 15 years earlier when a murder was passed off as suicide.
Episodes 12 and the end of 13 made me nervous. Especially the scene where he on the roof holds a gun against "that person", the boss of the bad guys, and doesn't even shoot him in the leg so as not to let him escape.
Not a bad open ending in view of season 2 which began recently.
We'll see next.

Let's go steal laundered money

Look, it's fun! If you want a fun, enjoyable action show this is a really nice one. Like yeah the plot isn't great but the chemistry between the crew is actually so cute I'm a sucker for a good crime found family. This show is so Leverage coded but a little less goofy than Leverage. Still the crew is SO FUN i LOVE their dynamic its the best thing about the show I just loved seeing them come together and support each other as the show went on. This was just a fun time it's a solid watch. And Krystal's in it so <33 I love her role as the guarded getaway driver. And yes because this was made in 2018 Kim Wonhae is most definitely in this show and I actually really enjoyed his dynamic with the main character. Also yes keep in mind this is a 2018 OCN show and its SUCH a 2018 OCN drama. There's fun action but not too much thought was put into the plot or characters. But yeah it's a good time and I do miss these sillies <3

One of my favorite dramas

Story: Personally, this is one of my favourite k-dramas ever, and one of the main reasons is the storyline! I'm not one to watch dramas with a minimal romance storyline, but this drama changed my mind on such dramas. None of the characters are one-dimensional and you learn more and more about them as the story goes on. Unlike many other dramas I watch, all the characters are there for a reason and the team chemistry is AMAZING (their bickering is so much fun to watch). And as you watch more and more of the drama, you learn more and more about the underlying plot, the reasoning behind every move, and the genius of the main character–it is like peeling the layers of the onion. This drama is a really great watch, and it keeps me sitting at the edge of my seat at the end of every episode.

Acting/Cast: I personally really love Song Seunghoon because he was in the first drama I've ever watched My Princess, but he has aged like FINE WINE. And, I think he looks really good in this drama because he is always wearing suits. Also, I am not usually the type to watch dramas with Kpop idols because I find it really hard for them to blend in with the rest of the actors, but I think Krystal did a really great job. The chemistry between the main team was AMAZING and I loved their bickering. They really felt like a family. Lastly, I wanted to give a shoutout to the Prosecutor because I loved watching him. I know Kim Won-Hae is in a lot of dramas but this prosecutor role was really bad-ass.

Music: The ost is really great and I get excited every time it plays in the background. It really gets your blood pumping.

Rewatch Value: I'm not the type to write reviews at all, but I am writing one for Player because I just rewatched it after 2 years and it is still one of the BEST dramas I have EVER WATCHED. Even though it lost a lot of the mystery aspect watching it the second time, I still really really enjoyed it because it's really satisfying watching the team kick ass and the team chemistry cracks me up every time.

A modern revenge

This must be a completely unknown series to most people, it was to me but I had it saved in my MyDramaList list for a while. Doesn't feel very old at all, still classy for being from 2018, far from outdated. Even so, it has barely aged at all, might as well be released today and made yesterday. This is an underrated and not talked about series at all as for the genres it belongs to.

Revenge is offered for the injustice that prevails in society, reminds some of Taxi Driver, a bunch of similar with skills. Where the long arm of the law can do no more, these do good. They are right in the gray area of what can be viewed legally or not. With a slightly more comic appearance at first and good action that makes it very peaceful. There will be some car chases at high speed at times and a lot of fights.

The group dynamic of everyone involved in Kang Hari's gang is special. The personal chemistry is good, even if not everyone has very nice backstories. Which has created their personalities to work together. The dynamic of everyone's different wills means that they differ on how to carry out the missions at first even though they all have the same goal. Everyone is tough and wants to help in the best possible way and their different skills are a bit reminiscent of money heist with their abilities.

Also see glimpses of playfulness found in both Bad & Crazy and Vincenzo when it comes to mixing humor and seriousness. I like that it has dark comedic elements at times. The music fills the entire spectrum from the serious moments to the more comic moments. In addition to everything that has been mentioned, this is a very serious series. If you like Taxi Driver, you will really like this one too. Very interesting!!!

Assistam The Player

Richiama altri films d'azione che ho molto apprezzato: Chief Kim; Model Taxi; You're All Surrounded.
