I mean hey.
First of this may not be a completely full review because 1) the GMM youtube channel didn't provide English sub of the whole series only episode one and 2) I only watched the BL cut of it on GCINEE. Here's a link for who ever needs it-https://gcinee.com/golden-rupthong/.Firstly this BL was good in my opinion if you like toxicity and sad endings, kidding. Actually this BL was good. Even though I don't stan everything Rob was doing, I kind of like him. Even though it's never okay to cheat, I could see where Seua was coming from. But I also believe that Seua shouldn't have acted like a pussy(sorry for the language), watch the drama then you get what I mean.
Overall, the acting was good and the storyline was good. The only thing bad about this drama was that I can't find it anywhere with full English subs. And maybe also the mom she was pretty trash too.
I would recommend this drama to people who like you know craziness, and "umm chile anyway" stuff. Me I personally liked it but I don't know the next person would feel because it got some stuff in there that really pisses you off sometimes and then when you think it's going good it just turns real left real fast. So there.
So the last thing I would like to say is go watch Roop Thong, and see what you think about it yourself. Plus I don't stan Seua behavior and you'll see why also his girlfriend or I don't stan her either.

Domineering Witch Ruins Everything
If you happen to stumble across this on show with English Subs, here is what you need to know:A good show, really well executed, awesome acting. 18 Full Episodes and none are boring.
Life lessons learned the hard way, some violence, love that can go wrong, family drama.
A domineering mother who listens to no one and is actually a very evil person. (I really wanted her to die)
A girlfriend who wants what she can't have and will do anything to get it.
A desperate gay friend who is in love with the nicest guy.
A weak, cannot stand up for himself (the nicest guy) who has his life ruined because he could not make good decisions.
Put it all together and what you have is a good, but messy story.
Had the ending been different, I would have rated this show a 10
Now For The Spoiler Hints:
Do NOT watch this series if you are looking for sensual scenes, despite the story line there are none, just some light kissing
Do NOT watch this series if you want a happy ending. Episode 17 is really sad and episode 18 is just stupid (in my opinion)

It’s not a real BL drama but a « coming out » drama played out in a society class where appearances are everything. Drama that even in 2023 is still very actual for some young men … showing that society hasn’t really changed that much in the last decade even though in many countries around the world same gender relations are more widely accepted.
With the first remark in mind it is however well played by the actors. As a viewer you can experience a lot of emotions watching this one. But not many will be happy with the ending.

The Best Series
Although this series is marked as a BL, I quite like the fact that the series has the BL as a "subplot" and has the other aspects of the series more upfront. It made the show overall better as it was not like the usual cheesy BL dramas you would normally watch from GMM.This is a show I would absolutely re-watch and I am not the type of person who re-watches a series, so that says A LOT.
The show is overall a very entertaining series with some comedy and a ton of angst all while giving a "mature" feel.
10/10.

Was it worth the wait?
I had to wait for this one for long, till it was finally completely subbed and not just 2 episodes or just BL cuts. Was it worth the wait? Er... To watch Dan Worrawech, who was born 11 years earlier and reached completely different level of acting skills and screen presence, in contrast with greenhorn Toy Pathompong, makes an erratic watch at best. Not to mention that Dan Worrawech, otherwise awesome, was in his mid-thirties, so he did look bit ridiculous as the returned kid, whom his mom is going to have to teach all over again:)It's funny that we watch a romance drama where there are no good guys. There is the main boy with looks of Toy Pathompong who has a girl AND a boy fighting over him, while both are nasty to the other and play dirty despite the fact that they probably don't even really love the guy. Even if they do, they are extremely manipulative about it. Toy Pathompong's main boy is supposed to be the good boy, while he is nice and polite and always tries to please the elders he also kinda likes sex, especially sex with men:) He picks a girl with super slutty exterior to make him forget and to use her as a smoke screen, while he says he loves her, it looks like he's just trying to be polite, too. He says he loves the boy, too (mostly after the boy purposedly cries in front of him, or tries to look pitiful in some way or other, to evoke compassion: that's basically his way of seducing him:), but we can see he's just into guys in general, he's also quite taken with one other guy, who is his senior at work or smth, and would totally jump his bones had he not be straight:) It was funny when he tried to please that guy's elder but his docile and feminine behavior made the elder chase him away as a "toot":) He then settled for the other boy.
The list goes on. Perhaps Dan Worrawech's "bad boy" is actually the only good guy, he's just acting out because he's been hurt. And so even he is unable just to mind his own bussiness. The mother is harsh, she sets rigid boundaries for herself and everyone else. She hangs desperately on her pride, but to read between the lines, obviously she was once actually heartbroken over the "bad boy"'s dad:) In short, the characters are funny to watch. But it's the kind of moralizing mellow drama (with the exception of the "gun action" final which is far-fetched and far from "slice of life") typical for GMM25. This channel always tries to "educate" the viewers with life lessons, but uses social-magazine "real life" kind of stories typical for middle-aged married female audience, lol. So, watching it whole and not just those excerpts - which early on gave an impression that this is some steamy bl - this was actually like something for my aunty, she would probably rated higher but I suffice with the average 5 stars.

I was only able to watch the BL cut on GCINEE. It was only parts that were actually subbed. I liked the story, but I feel like the execution could've been better. At the same time, the way it's written makes sense. I just felt so bad for Suea throughout the entire series. He was basically forced to come out and when he did come out even more problems began to roll in. Everyone pissed me off, except Suea (and maybe Year, but she's not really in the BL cut so I don't really know if I would actually like her). I felt like Suea was just being toyed with and no one actually cared about him. They just wanted him, it kind of felt like if they had Suea, they were winning whatever jealousy game they were playing. The ending was bittersweet, I really wish it never ended like that, but it did. I think the drama could've been better and the music/song choice might've been the one of the factors why I didn't like this drama that much. The music choice was pretty much only sad or dramatic music. There were parts where I thought weren't as sad or dramatic, but the music played and it threw me off. It made me think it was a really bad situation, when in actuality the atmosphere isn't a depressing nor totally happy scene. Like when Rob and Suea were having their moments and Suea basically coming out to Rob, the music made it seem like it was bad. It could be just me that thought that though.
As for the acting and casting, I think the actors and actresses pulled off their characters really well. So well, that I got pissed off at their characters. If you'd ask me if this was good enough to rewatch, I'd say no. I really didn't care for this series that much.

No English Subs Available
I've been able to watch this series only till episode 6. I have to find anywhere where this is subbed past that. But I have to say that this is one I can't wait to finish. Due to the lack of subs i'm not sure when I'll be able to finish it.
The story, from what I have seen so far, was interesting in that the spoiled rich kid wants his older "bad" brother to be a part of his life. The mother only cares for herself and her image, with no regards to anyone's feelings. You just want to hate her the second you lay eyes on her. As to the older of the two sons, he wants to destroy that image and see what harm she has done to him and his father.
Since I haven't been able to watch past episode 6, there really isn't anything else for me to say. Just waiting patiently for the rest of them to be translated at some point.
;)

Sensacional
