This series tackles a lot of life lessons that we must value each day, that we must live beyond our purpose. We should never hand pick the lessons of life, but to take it as a whole. This is heavy drama, the setting is not the usual BL dramas that we see recently. Not even a single shadow of couple of dramas like 2gether, Until we meet again, Love by Chance, TharnType and a lot of more to mention. This is the story of Seua, an excellent bachelor in eyes of many women, bound to realize that in the end that his feeling towards his bestfriend Rob, grow into a bliss of love that will soon change the wheel of his fate. This is a story of self acceptance and self discovery, it shows a lot of adversity in facing your true self and realizing that you are not you, in your most comfortable form. It may sound cliché, but if you find your true self and accept yourself for who you are, it will also seek true happiness and fulfillment. The series teaches a lot of lessons in Family, that blood is thicker than water, love of family is timeless and beyond limits, even the strongest storm can never defeat it's form and essence. It also teaches that decisions made in life must be firm and if it's not right, we should accept it consequences. It is also highlighted that revenge and hatred will never reign, it will let you feel victory, but in the end it will be the reason of your downfall. This series really got me, I was literally squealing in my seat while watching, it will really release your adrenaline and will not let your mind to be calm. As it's moments of thrill and excitement is always evident in every episode. It's impact will let you loose in a way you'll get hooked up. There are no dull moments. The twists were really hard, it was really a tasteful take over. I really love the storyline how the story flows and all it's conclusion was a perfect score for me. The storyline is really unique (Pinagisipan talaga ng husto, at naiba sa ibang BL na napanood ko). I love how raw the meanings are presented in a very timely manner, just right for each episode. I really just love the depth of the series itself, it's really dark, but the meaning of all is really shallow like what we see in real life. The adversity of each characters are shown, their weakness and how they surpass each's downfall that they experienced. I love the acting, the acting is in another level. Toy Pathompong played really well with the character of Seua. (Lit eral, sa series na to all eyes ka kay Seua, (hindi lang dahil gwapo siya) but you'll see how he handles every decision he has ever made and all eyes ka talaga, kasi maiirita ka ng big time hahaha). Pangpond Akalavut, was great as well ( as Rob), I can really feel his pain in every episode and how he handles it and able to still love Seua (eventhough napaka bwesit talaga ng decision making niya) and how he understands Seua, is really love in it's purest form. Mayura Sawetsila was really the star of the show she played well as Seua's Mother (Amber), (all eyes ka din sa baklang to mamsh, kasi sa bukod tanging nagmana ata to sa demonyo si bakla. Lahat gagawin para sa anak, pero di naman sa ayos at pangalan lang at estado ng buhay ang palaging iniisip). Punpun Sutatta as Riawkhao was amazing as well, (kung naiinis kayo kay Pam sa 2gether mas maiirita kayo dito, demonya din kasi tong baklang to. At lumalaban pa). She is Seua's girlfriend in this series and she tried to make Seua straight (cringy ng ways niya mga mamsh, sasabihin niyo masarap siyang sabunutan). Dan Worrawech as P'Moo as Seua's older brother really is another stellar performance (eto naman yung kuya ni Seua, matutuwa naman kayo dito kasi he encourages Seua to be himself and to follow his happiness. Maraming mailalahad na life lessons tong si P'Moo na surely you can absorb all. Kasi he was good at giving advices kay Seua and helping him decide what to do. Sa una medyo maiirita kayo, pero he has purpose naman on why). Really, this series is a heck of a roller coaster ride, it will wake your soul up and you will never miss another episode (pero eto based sakin di ko siya kayang isang bagsakan na panonood, kasi sumasakit ulo ko sa mga pangyayare, sobrang intense yung tipong kulang nalang itapon ko laptop ko sa sobrang inis kay Seua at sa mga maling moves at decision niya sa buhay, pati sa Bruhang nanay niya at sa Girlfriend niya na ubod ng kademonyohan, hahaha. *you'll get me once mapanood niyo). The only problem of this series is it's availability, I kept searching for this series in Eng Subs and contacted the actors as well (yes, ganyan ako. Anlala diba? Haha) that they should release an eng subbed series. First I watched it in Youtube there is Eng subs only at first 3 episodes. I still kept looking for it and it happened I have found the Eng Sub Series subbed by one and only GCINEE and it was literally a dream come true! (Sharing the link later for all of you to watch).(Disclaimer: nakacut yung ibang scenes sa series, di talaga siya full and okay naman kasi they kept the important parts and the highlight ng mismong series, pero okay lang kasi ang hirap mag sub guys at independent subbers lang ang GCINEE. So quite understandable talaga). That is the only problem I encountered. Nothing more nothing less. I highly suggest this! A strong suggestion! This will change the way how you see series that are made in Thailand! Really an astounding work of art! This series needs some attention, the work that was poured in this series is really showing and it needs to be seen all around the world!

I mean hey.

First of this may not be a completely full review because 1) the GMM youtube channel didn't provide English sub of the whole series only episode one and 2) I only watched the BL cut of it on GCINEE. Here's a link for who ever needs it-https://gcinee.com/golden-rupthong/.
Firstly this BL was good in my opinion if you like toxicity and sad endings, kidding. Actually this BL was good. Even though I don't stan everything Rob was doing, I kind of like him. Even though it's never okay to cheat, I could see where Seua was coming from. But I also believe that Seua shouldn't have acted like a pussy(sorry for the language), watch the drama then you get what I mean.

Overall, the acting was good and the storyline was good. The only thing bad about this drama was that I can't find it anywhere with full English subs. And maybe also the mom she was pretty trash too.

I would recommend this drama to people who like you know craziness, and "umm chile anyway" stuff. Me I personally liked it but I don't know the next person would feel because it got some stuff in there that really pisses you off sometimes and then when you think it's going good it just turns real left real fast. So there.

So the last thing I would like to say is go watch Roop Thong, and see what you think about it yourself. Plus I don't stan Seua behavior and you'll see why also his girlfriend or I don't stan her either.

Domineering Witch Ruins Everything

If you happen to stumble across this on show with English Subs, here is what you need to know:

A good show, really well executed, awesome acting. 18 Full Episodes and none are boring.
Life lessons learned the hard way, some violence, love that can go wrong, family drama.

A domineering mother who listens to no one and is actually a very evil person. (I really wanted her to die)
A girlfriend who wants what she can't have and will do anything to get it.
A desperate gay friend who is in love with the nicest guy.
A weak, cannot stand up for himself (the nicest guy) who has his life ruined because he could not make good decisions.

Put it all together and what you have is a good, but messy story.

Had the ending been different, I would have rated this show a 10

Now For The Spoiler Hints:
Do NOT watch this series if you are looking for sensual scenes, despite the story line there are none, just some light kissing
Do NOT watch this series if you want a happy ending. Episode 17 is really sad and episode 18 is just stupid (in my opinion)

Many real life issues are treated here … but spinned out too long : 18 Ep for something that can be told in less than 10.

It’s not a real BL drama but a « coming out » drama played out in a society class where appearances are everything. Drama that even in 2023 is still very actual for some young men … showing that society hasn’t really changed that much in the last decade even though in many countries around the world same gender relations are more widely accepted.

With the first remark in mind it is however well played by the actors. As a viewer you can experience a lot of emotions watching this one. But not many will be happy with the ending.

Was it worth the wait?

I had to wait for this one for long, till it was finally completely subbed and not just 2 episodes or just BL cuts. Was it worth the wait? Er... To watch Dan Worrawech, who was born 11 years earlier and reached completely different level of acting skills and screen presence, in contrast with greenhorn Toy Pathompong, makes an erratic watch at best. Not to mention that Dan Worrawech, otherwise awesome, was in his mid-thirties, so he did look bit ridiculous as the returned kid, whom his mom is going to have to teach all over again:)

It's funny that we watch a romance drama where there are no good guys. There is the main boy with looks of Toy Pathompong who has a girl AND a boy fighting over him, while both are nasty to the other and play dirty despite the fact that they probably don't even really love the guy. Even if they do, they are extremely manipulative about it. Toy Pathompong's main boy is supposed to be the good boy, while he is nice and polite and always tries to please the elders he also kinda likes sex, especially sex with men:) He picks a girl with super slutty exterior to make him forget and to use her as a smoke screen, while he says he loves her, it looks like he's just trying to be nice, too. He says he loves the boy, too (mostly after the boy purposedly cries in front of him, or tries to look pitiful in some way or other, to evoke compassion: that's basically his way of seducing him, lol), but we can see he's just into guys in general, he's also quite taken with one other guy, and would totally jump his bones had he not be straight:) It was funny when he tried to please that guy's elder but his docile and feminine behavior made the elder chase him away as "toot":) He then settled for the other boy.

The list goes on. Perhaps Dan Worrawech's "bad boy" is actually the good guy, he's just acting out because he's been hurt. And so even he is unable just to mind his own bussiness. The mother is harsh, she sets rigid boundaries for herself and everyone else. She hangs desperately on her pride, but to read between the lines, obviously she was once actually heartbroken over the "bad boy"'s dad:) In short, the characters are funny to watch. But it's the kind of moralizing mellow drama (with the exception of the " gun action" final which is far-fetched and far from "slice of life") typical for GMM25. This channel always tries to "educate" the viewers with life lessons, but uses social-magazine "real life" kind of stories typical for middle-aged married female audience, lol. So, watching it whole and not just those bl excerpts which might give an impression that this is some steamy show, this was actually like something for my aunty, she would probably rated higher but I suffice with the average 5 stars.

I was only able to watch the BL cut on GCINEE. It was only parts that were actually subbed. I liked the story, but I feel like the execution could've been better. At the same time, the way it's written makes sense. I just felt so bad for Suea throughout the entire series. He was basically forced to come out and when he did come out even more problems began to roll in. Everyone pissed me off, except Suea (and maybe Year, but she's not really in the BL cut so I don't really know if I would actually like her). I felt like Suea was just being toyed with and no one actually cared about him. They just wanted him, it kind of felt like if they had Suea, they were winning whatever jealousy game they were playing. The ending was bittersweet, I really wish it never ended like that, but it did.

I think the drama could've been better and the music/song choice might've been the one of the factors why I didn't like this drama that much. The music choice was pretty much only sad or dramatic music. There were parts where I thought weren't as sad or dramatic, but the music played and it threw me off. It made me think it was a really bad situation, when in actuality the atmosphere isn't a depressing nor totally happy scene. Like when Rob and Suea were having their moments and Suea basically coming out to Rob, the music made it seem like it was bad. It could be just me that thought that though.

As for the acting and casting, I think the actors and actresses pulled off their characters really well. So well, that I got pissed off at their characters. If you'd ask me if this was good enough to rewatch, I'd say no. I really didn't care for this series that much.

No English Subs Available

I've been able to watch this series only till episode 6. I have to find anywhere where this is subbed past that.
But I have to say that this is one I can't wait to finish. Due to the lack of subs i'm not sure when I'll be able to finish it.
The story, from what I have seen so far, was interesting in that the spoiled rich kid wants his older "bad" brother to be a part of his life. The mother only cares for herself and her image, with no regards to anyone's feelings. You just want to hate her the second you lay eyes on her. As to the older of the two sons, he wants to destroy that image and see what harm she has done to him and his father.
Since I haven't been able to watch past episode 6, there really isn't anything else for me to say. Just waiting patiently for the rest of them to be translated at some point.
;)

Sensacional
