Rather progressive for it's time.
Rather progressive for it's time, (Even now in some countries). The story centers around a young man marrying a divorced single mother. The drama is heartwarming with great acting by the cast. It is however the young, rather baby Kamiki that steals the show. From the first frame of the drama to the very ending the prodigal child actor proves his capability by being the emotional glue connecting every aspect of the story together. More will give away since the story is simple in it's writing but effective with it lesson. A must watch.Was this review helpful to you?
A Drama which is still relevent and has aged like fine wine.
Goods News despite being 2 decades older tackles the same issues concerning workplace harassment, but even more so good news by it's settings is more complicated. The woman, and man both have to come to terms with their respective social and economical differences and the addition of the single mother setting lends itself to a more human side to the story. Relationships are complex and life is complicated. People don't live in vacuum, there are intricate relations which they have to balance as well as their personal believes and morals. Every single action effects multiple people, even if not directly. This is depicted realistically. This is a very realistic portrayal of how in the modern society women have to degrade themselves, choose between being a mother and a woman, and the scrutiny she faces choosing a man who might be less accomplished and younger than her but respects and comforts her. This is truly ahead of its time and sadly to this day a reality of many women.Was this review helpful to you?

Good News is one of my all time favorites. I watched every single episode awaiting each surprise. Good News was a good show for the family (My mom and Dad got in to it too) And I really Liked The show! It's defiantly a Dorama to watch ^-^ So Go watch it Fast!This show is really a good family show. Shows how 2 strangers come together and build up a strong family bond in spite of all the problems they face. They stick together and support each other. This really touched mi.
Not bad, I thought it was gonna be a corny one.. but it was pretty funny and the roles for each person were good.. sano shiro does it again..
