Life on the road wasn't easy for a traditional blacksmith in 1970's Korea. Aging Tae Suk is a blacksmith with vagrant habits, moving from one local market to another for over 20 years. One day on the road, he comes upon a young girl Shin Yeong who is heading for her father’s funeral. Tae Suk soon finds out she is the daughter of his old friend Duk Soo, who had ruined Tae Suk’s life taking his fortune and beloved wife long ago. Memories from 20 years earlier surface as Tae Suk and Shin Yeong continue towards their destinations. At the funeral of Duk Soo, a long mistaken truth is revealed.
