When you step onto the island in Top Star, it's really like a blast from the past. That combined with the humor and the loving and close community relationships (and also love triangle -- meh) are similar to Reply 1988.

the plot itself of "top star going to a tiny village full of lovable characters for whatever reason and learning the true meaning of life/ getting back to his roots" is identical

If you love romcom, both of these two share similar vibes. So, while I was watching Business Proposal, I suddenly remembered our silly Top Star Yoo Baek. Both Kang Tae Moo and Yoo Baek are similar with how they are 'superstars' in their own way, and they are hilarious at showing it, and how madly in love both of them with their woman. *Swoon*

a rich and famous person get isolated in a remote village and fell in love with the tenant of the house.

Both dramas are in a province. Both of them have provincial accents. The feels are also very much the same! :) Warm, fluffy and sweet.

It's literally the exact same plot, except the "music producer" in plant goddess is a "top actor" in Top Star U Back whose scandal has led his image to dwindle.

-ML in both dramas comes to live the village from Seoul due to personal reasons.
-MLs didn't like our FLs initially but later fall for their unfiltered character.

In both drama one of our mcs decides to suddenly move to the countryside and it shows the process of finding healing, joy and love in life. Both drama focus on showing the peaceful side of living in the countryside and its people and how stepping out of your comfort zone is sometimes a very good thing.

Though Top Star Yoo Baek is more on the comedy side and My Husband Oh Jak Doo is a melo, both drama deal with a guarded city person having to experience the remote countryside. Both drama deal with stepping out of your shell and finding peace in the small things and how important human relationships are to one's life. Of course love triangles are a thing in both drama.
