This is by far one of my fav HIStory series!!! I have watched this several times because the main couple and side couple are so cute! Guys once the main couple finally start dating they're chemistry is AMAZINGGG! The kiss scenes are so freaking good it'll have you blushing and squeaming lol. I really liked the side couple as well they're chemistry is so cute and funny, your going to love them lol. I really really loved this series, ALL the actors did a phenomenal job. I really loved the guy who played Shao Fei in this. Him and that little piece of hair that sticks out his head are so adorable lol! This is definitely worth the watch! Was this review helpful to you?
Honestly I love this way too much
This has been one of my favourites for AGES, it's soooo good. It was so cool and I loved Tang Yi's character. Honestly, everything is perfect. I loved the intro song, although I was a bit confused about the ending. In my eyes, it was really good and kind of topped HIStory 2. I was a bit shocked by some of the plot twists too (won't spoil anything teehee). I also loved the side ship with Jack and.... what was his name again? It was personally my favourite ship between all three. In conclusion, this show is very good and I totally recommend. Was this review helpful to you?
The first 2-3 episodes might seem a little forced or cringey, but as soon as the story paces up, it becomes such a treat to watch. Every single thing about the serie was wonderful: be it the story, the acting, the pace, the music. THE COUPLES!!! Truly loved all 3 of them. The chemistry between the leads and the secondary characters are drool-worthy.
To be frank, I didn't watch anything that was as compelling as this for some time now. I was getting really bored with everything but History 3:trapped revived the reputation of the drama world for me.
Really have to thank the storywriters and the producers for not making the bl couples' story too cringe or unoriginal.
Everything about history 3: trapped is so fresh and amazing, it's such a well done serie. PLEASE WATCH IT, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!
also i guess i'll have to check out the other seasons too now! can anyone tell me if they're equally as good as this one??

Everyone take notes, THIS is how you Enemies to Lovers !
The best portrayal of "Enemies to Lovers" I have ever seen ! A mob boss and a cop fall in love while protecting one another and it's so beautiful and tender, toss in the fact that both of them are Super Badass ! This is an absolute MUST WATCH. Plot twists abound, kept me watching ep after ep.I haven't watched literally any of the other HIStory series but this one was super impressive, Tang Yi and Shao Fei and both amazingly written, and neither of them are boxed in or super troupey, which I greatly enjoyed. Both of them are complex and feel real in a sense cause of that.
There's none of the creepy, bad touch, noncon that some BLs have between the main couple or the side couple (who are also super freaking CUTE and hilarious) which I Thank GOd for. All in all, I absolutely loved HIStory: 3 Trapped and I highly highly recommended it !

I just finished this and all i can say is wow that was a ride. i love when a show uses real kisses and not just pecks i also love a good action scene of which there are many! The tension is so real i loved it. I typically dont like things that dont have a happy ending but this ending was happy enough to still leave me hopeful and content with everything (im being very general so the show is still satisfying to watch) if you are someone like me who doesnt watch shows with sad endings then i would still recommend this to you it is enjoyable and really really well acted Was this review helpful to you?
Basically, I am not into action especially the one that tells story about the mob versus police, it always kinda boring and usually made my mood down easily but this one succeeded brake my wall eventually.
If we compared to “Make Our Days Count”, honestly I don’t have any idea which one that I love the most. Because between these two, the have their own specialties that made the choices hard for me.
Now, I can continue watching my 2021 series. But I think I’m gonna sleep first. 🥱

Season 1 – this is actually just 3 completely unrelated stories. “My Hero” is a supernatural film that is really just kind of weird. Hero’s girlfriend is mistakenly taken by the angel of death and in an effort to keep her soul on earth with Hero, he shoves her into the first available body who happens to also be in love with Hero. “Stay Away from Me” is better and deals with a taboo of new step-brothers who develop feelings for each other and a friend who desperately wants them to be together. “Obsession” is even better and actually rather well written even though there is a supernatural element to it as the lead dies and wakes up alive 9 years earlier. “Obsession” is the only episode in Season 1 that actually opens up the physical side of BL dramas. It’s clear that the writers got better with each episode. Thankfully the remaining seasons were not like this.
Season 2 – This season is 2 separate stories broken into 4 episodes each. Episodes 1-4 are called “Right or Wrong” and involve a professor/student relationship. Episodes 5-8 “Crossing the Line” are about a volleyball team manager and his junior he recruits to play for the team due to his natural ability. The relationship that develops between them is sincere and set at a good pace for only being 4 episodes. There is also another step-brother relationship in this one (this seems to be a favorite theme among the HIStory writers as we will see it yet again in Season 4).
Season 3 – “Trapped” is a hate turned love story between a goofy police officer and a super hot mob boss who is trying to get his outfit to go legit. There’s a secondary love story between a gun for hire and another police officer that’s also really cute. This one has a good looking cast, mostly decent acting, and a good storyline. However, the very final scene leaves you a bit unsatisfied and wanting to know what will happen in the future. Perhaps they will do a follow up season with this one at some point.
Season 3 – “Make Our Days Count” is both my favorite season and my least favorite season. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but get your tissues ready because you WILL cry. While Song Wei En and Huang Juan Zhi are the main couple in this series, my favorite couple is played by Zhang Han Yuan and Liu Wei Chen, and I’m assuming they were a lot of fans favorites as they appear as a couple in season 4 and are set to have their own upcoming season of “Make Our Days Count2”. I would also like to point out that our main couple makes an appearance in a cross-over project with Japan “Life-Love on the Line”.
Season 4 – “Close to You” is the latest season currently available. It deals with 3 best friends who work together as wedding planners. Li Cheng and Mu Ren are both “straight” men who fall in love. Again there is a step-brother relationship that actually gets the parents involved this time. Let me tell you, mom is a bit of an odd one. And of course as stated previously, our favorite couple from season 3 makes a really cute appearance in a few of the episodes.

The one to save all the others!
Came back here after finishing HIStory 5,and watched it again so my heart is mended( read my review there and you will understand). From all the seasons, this one was the closest to perfect. The plot, the actors, the chemistry...it had action, comedy and romance all in one. No couple with weird cringe backstory(I'm looking at you History 1,2 and 4). So yeah, when i get disappointed by one of the seasons, i come back to this one to forget and all is good again in the world. Both series from season 3 are up there, at the very top, but i'm more into this one because i have a weakness for a mature story so each with their own. All in all, 10 stars with no hesitation !Was this review helpful to you?

I actually love this one, the SUITS.
This is a mafia romance with a villain/cop pairing, no real seme/uke dynamic. It has a killer plot with a bit of a mystery element, good story and dialogue. Enemies to lovers (with good reason to mistrust each other) who fall madly in love anyway. It's higher heat, the kisses are great and they're both pretty much out bisexuals. The reason I dong give it a higher rating is this main couple's ending is amorphous with long term separation implied. The side dishes are a friends to lovers HEA pairing who also have good chemistry, although slightly lower heat, but are great characters. The naive innocent wonderkin sweetie and the cheerful but deadly mercenary assassin who decides that this is going to be HIS man. So there. They are utterly adorable and use food as their love language, possibly one of my favorite couples.
Despite the mafia theme, there are actually very few triggers in the one. It's full consent and quite sweet for how much they throw in sexy. Lots of little domestic moments too. But that ending...

Truly an Under Appreciated Gem
It's no surprise that many BL fans adore the entire HIStory franchise, and this series is no exception, even though newer releases may have disappointed some since Covid. The storyline is exceptionally well-crafted, steering clear of formulaic tropes. It's a rich portrayal of a gay man and a BL character, exploring their journey towards their first gay relationship. Gone are the whimsical, irrational falling-in-love scenarios often found in Thai BLs. Instead, we witness a genuine and authentic narrative. One aspect that sets this series apart is its avoidance of toxic themes commonly seen in other BLs. There are no exploitative SA or romanticized rape plot devices, despite the setting revolving around the police and mafia.
The acting is top-notch, something that may not be consistently seen in the newer installments of this franchise. Each character experiences significant development, adding depth and relatability to the story. From Shao Fai to Jack to Hong Ye and their respective partners Tang Yi, Li An, and Diao Yi, their connections and growth are compelling to watch.
A standout feature of this series is the excellent communication between characters, eliminating the need for annoying misunderstandings often found in lesser BL shows. This series truly caters to a more mature audience, foregoing the fluffy rainbows and magical unicorns that some BL fans may seek. It's a gem for those appreciating nuanced storytelling and well-crafted character arcs.

Oldie but Goldie Police X Mafia BL Drama
HISTORY 3 - TRAPPED Review(Taiwan 2019 - Spoiler)
Having just finished another of the HISTORY series, I have seen some ups and downs in the various takes. This is about a policeman and a mafia boss both being at odds and then in love.
Overall I liked the ten episodes. It had interesting characters, generally good acting and all a policeXmafia love drama should have. Unlike others I never felt it was over the top dark, since the darkest parts all happened off camera, so despite usually being sensitive towards to dark depressive plots, I didn't feel dragged down emotionally. I assume I owe it much to the actor Jake Hsu, who played the ever optimistic beacon of light police officer Meng Shao Fei, and grounded the show, preventing it from falling too far into depressive waters with his acting and presence.
While the end might have had a bit more positive resolve, much of it would have been too unrealistic. When the MC mafia boss Tang Yi, it is a kinda semi-sad ending where you just feel the trust they will meet again, but I would have liked to SEE it, although the tonality of it gave me the trust that it will be so. (Hopefully not after 24 years, lol.)
Anyway, it was a nice series with interesting plot twist, unique characters and what I liked especially a cast that didn't look like a model-walk copy of the N-th beauty catalogue. As such I give it a confident
8.5/10

Seven years later this is still a good watch
There are some cheesy acting moments, especially in the fighting scene choreography.Other than that, this was divine. The story was interesting. The chemistry of the main and second couple was great. The mains were so so good. Their interactions felt so sincere. The second couple was adorable.
The story wasnt entirely predictable but it wasn't outrageous either. The flow was good and the emotional peaks and valleys were earned.
I'm glad I decided to watch this one!
