Intriguing opener but terrible plot development

Mainly going to review the plot because the other components (acting/cast and music) were great.

I really liked how the story was captivating from the start (different from typical C-drama openers) and there was always a new story or goal for at least one of the characters/pairs. However, the plot did dragged in the middle because there's a lot of couples and the drama goes into each couple's story at some point. Each character/couple's "story" refers to their romantic lives, family relationships, AND work/jobs, so you can probably see why this drama ends up at 50 episodes... They also introduced a few new minor characters in the middle, which gave a nice break from the main characters' endless stories but also meant there's someone else's story to follow now.

IMO, the drama would have been more interesting if they expanded on Mowgli's adapting to civilization and the FL helping him adjust because that was what intrigued me the most. And it's not that I didn't enjoy the other couples, but if they only focused on one or two primary couples like most dramas do, then the drama could have ended wonderfully at the typical 20 or so episodes. Also worth mentioning that the story went downhill in the end, everything became super unrealistic and the ending was just unsatisfactory and weird. There was a lot of potential with this novel story but it didn't turn out for me.

Overall, it was still a good watch to kill time, but not amazing enough to get you hooked and waiting anxiously for the next episodes to come out. If I rewatched, I'd probably watch the first half of the drama again and stop there.

When I started watching this show I was quite hooked into it because it was mysterious, 2 worlds merging, random guy appearing from the forest y'know? But then as I continued felt like the overall drama was made too long with unnecessary episodes and lots of things didn't make sense in it.

Story: "My Mowgli Boy" is about a celebrity named Ling Xi who one day accidentally brings home a wild man who she later named Mo Geli. Mo Geli becomes an important part of her life and supports her through the high and lows.
I think that the plot of the drama is a really good idea because it's so mysterious. It might just be me but as I got around the middle of the drama, I started getting tired of the main couple, maybe because there wasn't enough happening around them because the scenes of them are usually just talking. Due to that I started getting more and more interested in the support couples Tang Cheng and Lu Ziyue, and Chu Shi and Ling Yu. Tang Cheng and Lu Ziyue were my favourite couple because their scenes were actually interesting, they are 2 different people and with very different interests and personalities but still managed so get together, and Chu Shi and Ling Yu seemed like forbidden love because they have to be pulled apart by Ling Yu's family problems. Overall Ling Yu's life seems to be really complicated and sad.
I really didn't like Mo Geli as a character, because he always seems to not trust Ling Xi enough even though she has said that she would really like to share the happy and sad with him. Mo Geli is always disappearing and is always leaving Ling Xi disappointed.
The ending was honestly what disappointed me the most because the last episodes (50) honestly wasn't explaining what was happening clearly. Once again, Mo Geli disappears without a word while Ling Xi is stuck worrying. I was getting really annoyed at Mo Geli by this point, Ling Xi has already said that she wants to solve his problems with him instead of him not telling her and solving it all by himself. At the end I had no idea what was happening, Ling Xi is just by the river when suddenly Mo Geli appears in front of her with the ring. Even now I have no idea if that was Ling Xi's imagination or if he was really there.

Acting/Cast:
The cast was chosen really well because all the actors seemed to have a appearance similar to their character personalities. Yang Zi really hit me emotionally when she cried, she always performs her character so well. I felt that Ma Tianyu was a little bit stiff at first but then he warmed up in the end.

Music:
The music was alright.

Rewatch value:
I personally think that the drama is too long with to much unnecessary so I don't think I will rewatch it. Plus the drama didn't make any sense in the end and I still don't know if Mo Geli came back or not because it could just be Ling Xi's imagination.

Overall, I think that the plots with the other characters were quite interesting, while the lead couple was confusing. I hope Ling Xi and Mo Geli did get together at the end, but judging by how Mo Geli is always disappearing with unexplained reasons, probably not.

This is my first review ever on this site! So please bare with me if I miss a few things! If my spelling and punctuation is bad, please bare with me.

What sparked my initial interest in this show was the female lead Ling Xi (Lord XI) and Ray Ma (Mo Ge Li) both are very good actors and the chemistry was their.

Story: The story for me personally in this show, is a bit iffy. The beginning part was kinda boring and I saw myself skipping a lot. As the show goes one we are introduced to different characters and their romance story of how they came to be. As the show goes on we are shown different parts of their relationship, and how they grow with each other. Honestly, I didn't enjoy the constant cutting back and fourth between the main couple and side couple, it took away from the story and it just leaves you a bit confused. As for the ending I didn't enjoy it, felt like it was rushed and so many questions that where left unanswered. Overall, the story for this drama was ok, not the best it was a bit rushed and so many plot holes that just left me too confused.

Acting/Cast: Besides the story not being the best, the actors and cast did perfectly well! They all played their roles perfectly and that is what keep me wanting to watch more.

Music: The music was good for this drama, it matched the theme perfectly well.

Overall, this was a cute little drama to watch, but it could have been cut down to less episodes than trying to stretch it out to 50 episodes. If you love a cute little drama this is the one for you, but personally the story wasn't really executed well and it had a bunch of plot holes that didn't make really sense at all.

This is my first drama review and it's like 3 am and I literally made this account to write a review for this drama lol.

This drama takes you through the perspectives of many characters, and through that, it is able to address many issue in society which are prevalent through the modern world. I loved how they subtly yet effectively introduced problems regarding the environment, whilst including ways to prevent these issues, also managing to link them in with the plot. Mo Ge Li and Chu Shi really carried out their environmentally protective roles and were able to spread them around to the other characters which also helped with their character development, especially Ling Xi.

Now onto the characters and their respective pairings. I've recently watched Go Go Squid which had Yang Zi in it, and I did not know what to expect when I knew about her transition to becoming a CEO role. She definitely did not disappoint. Although Ling Xi's character may have seemed unbearable at the beginning, her character development definitely made up for it throughout the series thanks to her great bond with Mo Ge Li. This was the first time I've watched Ma Tian Yu in a drama, and I think he pulled of his character extremely well. At first he gave me Choi Dal Po from Pinocchio vibes because of his wig, but it just added to the innocence of his character. Both actors had great chemistry, and were my favourite pairing. I just couldn't get over how they were able to portray such sweet and slightly cringe moments so effortlessly. This pairing was definitely the one to keep me going throughout the series and both were vital for each other's progression!

For the other characters, I didn't know that I would be super invested every pairing! Tang Cheng and Lu Ziyue's relationship was definitely a show stealer. Complete opposites and were able to influence each other for the better. Their meeting was interesting, but made the relationship as strong as it was. For Zheng Li and Bai Yiling..I won't lie, but it was hard to get into their pairing. I have nothing against him being younger, but seriously? He's making moves while settling her divorce? I guess that was necessary though because he was always there for her anyway. I loved the way they got together because she was the one who initiated the conversation to return the feelings, and the scene was rather funny. Ling Yu and Chu Shi's pairing also stunned me, in a good way. They were also quite opposite, and Chu Shi managed to bring him out of his shell, and allowed him to focus on relaxing in life, whilst he was able to show her the cultural side of the country. Although they could have built up this pairing more, I still enjoyed all the moments that they had.

I think the plot was pretty good. Everything was well paced, especially for a 50 episode drama. I only occasionally watch dramas with more than 30 eps, and I'm glad I managed to stumble upon this one because I didn't regret it. I think that the fact that each pairing managed to have their own storylines going on helped with the pace as a drama, as sometimes when one pairing had issues, the other pairings were there to keep the drama more lighthearted. However, the ending (and I mean literal ending, like the last 20 mins) of the drama had more potential to be explored or was just not necessary at all.

Overall, I found the drama extremely enjoyable and it has now become my favourite. It may not have been the best regarding some aspects of the plot, but the character portrayal really hit me in my feels and I grew attached to each character and their pairings.

As a fan of Ma Tian Yu and Yang Zi, this was a no brainer to watch. Plus the initial premise seemed interesting so I gave this a go.

Acting/Cast: As I stated above I'm a fan of both the main leads, and they did well in their roles. In addition their chemistry was fantastic and watching them as a sickeningly sweet couple was a joy. As for the rest of the cast, they did well in their respective roles as well, so not much else to say. Although there were parts I skipped, mainly the scenes revolving around Zheng Li's & Bai Yi Ling's love line, because I didn't feel the chemistry and at a times it felt forced. Other than that their characterization of their characters were fine.

Music: Was this the OST of the year? No, but it's still very enjoyable to listen to and did it's job well in the drama

Story/Plot: Overall the story was fine and pretty straightforward, although there were inconsistencies in detail at times, but they were so small it didn't matter in the end. My main gripe is how the writers would start plot lines for the sake of it being a long drama, then we kind of forget about it, then they bring it back and rush to end it. Although, it seems with many other long dramas, this happens as well. I especially did not like the ending because of this, and I wanted everything wrapped in a nice neat bow, but I still was kind of happy in the end. Fully satisfied? No, but it will do. Still enjoyable tho.

Rewatch value: Although I enjoyed the ride, I would only come back for the cutesy scenes between the main leads and the second couple Tang Cheng & Lu Zi Yue. Luckily there are many of those!

Ray Ma, I have seen his acting one time in Ice Fantasy, so I remember him and I love that CDrama. This was a cute story and I did love the storyline. The only thing I couldn't deal with is Ray Ma's character, the writers had Mowgli up and down breaking it off with Yang Zi's character, Ling Xi... which drove me crazy. I love the perkiness of Yang Zi the actress. She is one of my top leading Chinese actresses. Fu Meng Bo, Ming Ren, Huang Can Can, and Wang Zhen Er did very well in their characters. Another ending that had me confused but I got it unless she was hallucinating again. The sets were great! Music was okay, the fighting um had me saying "what fighting". No martial arts in this C Drama.

Managed to finish this in 4 days. I gotta agree with some reviews that’s it’s pretty lengthy. But that’s because it focuses on every couple in the show and that they really delve into each pairings.

But I wouldn’t want to rewatch this because it’s too lengthy and also because of the ending. I mean it’s a happy ending but I felt like some there’s missing bits and pieces.

Actors/actresses all did well definitely, there are some twists and on characters that I did not expect at all.

Overall it’s a pretty good drama to watch if you have the time. But I watched this because of Yang zi, really love her acting!

Interesting

I find the story captivating and interesting. Its a good watch for people who's looking for a fun and chill time. However, I don't know but there's something wrong with the acting of the FL. Her acting is too acting if it make sense. Haha just a bit off for me , most of the times I find myself cringing a bit but it's passable I guess. ML is definitely one of my favorite Chinese actors. Though there were also some noticeable hiccups in his acting and things that a bit don't make sense how fast he adapted at times that confuses me a bit. Nevertheless, this is a good watch and worth binge watching :) ML is just freaking adorable!

Okay

Girl who was doing shooting in the jungle found a boy who was lost in the jungle in his childhood . So he was behave like an animal. An accident occured and unwilling she had to keep him with her . As slowly slowly story progress her unrequited love break she was disappointed as result she was getting close with him .
With them other three parallel love story was also there .
My favourite couple Ling Yu and Chu Shi . Ling Yu, the girl stepbrother and Chu Shi is the sister of the boy . Their love story had few scenes as Ling Yu was the negative character . But I don't know why I liked this couple. Due to many episodes ,this drama at some extent was getting bored.
