Cute

It's 2021 so I'm 2 years late with this review but I realised, upon reading the other reviews, that a lot of people had different thoughts than I did. I also needed to rant a little bit so they're quite a few spoilers.3

To get the good out the way:
I like this drama quite a lot! The main male lead and female lead really only like each other and the female lead is very cold to the male lead but once they're engaged (which is a few episodes in) he pursues her single-mindedly. Even when he loses his memory as a result of amnesia he only likes her and is not swayed by other women. I also loved Feng Ping's character. She was very smart and perceptive despite being a little too untrusting sometimes. This brings me to all the things I don't like about this drama.

What I didn't like:

Amnesia Arc
The amnesia arc lasted around 7 episodes (!! way too long for a 30 episode drama) but the problem is they didn't need it at all. The male main lead is still invested and interested in the female lead even without his memories of meeting her. Despite being a playboy before having met her he does not want any other women. He doesn't treat her coldly and the female lead doesn't change her standoffishness or coy attitude so they are the same as before. It just provided more ammunition for the annoying side characters (which we will get to). It further hithered the story because though the two had become slightly more playful with each other they had never kissed or anything of the sort so no real relationship progress had been lost. It just dragged on the slowness of their relationship even further. Then immediately after he got back his memories they started kisses and sleeping in the same room and though I was happy it felt a bit random. In the comments of the drama I saw a lot of people saying the main couple had no chemistry but I really think the issue was with how their relationship evolved. It grew very inconsistently and slowly.

The Pacing
Another reason I think people didn't enjoy the main couple was because of the pacing. The main couple barely got any time with each other compared to secondary couples, schemers and the generally annoying people. There were several episodes where the main couple would get 5 minutes of screen time and the secondary relationships would get almost the entirety of the episode. In fact, one of the secondary couples (who knew each other for just as long at the leads) got married in the last episode despite blatant issues and underlying toxicity in their relationship (which the drama never properly addressed). I would have much preferred to see the main couple get married than to see that problematic relationship further come into fruition.

Almost Every Character (Except the Main Leads & Their Friends) Was Extremely Annoying:
I understand villains are not supposed to be likable and that if I despise them that means the writer did a good job at making a nefarious character but rather than disliking the "villains" in this drama I found them annoying and pitiful. The female second lead, Lu Qiao, gets shot down by Jia Nan (male lead) numerous times but continues to pursue him and attempts to ruin the female lead's life despite liking Jia Nan's brother. Her actions are encouraged by the beyond irritating housekeeper. Jia Nan's brother is also incredibly selfish and obsessed with a woman whose true colours have been repeatedly shown to him.
The male second lead, An Yue Sheng, uses Her Nan (Ji Nan's sister) as fodder for the feelings he still has for the female leads(Feng Ping) and treats her terribly for the majority of the drama. Her Nan has no self respect where this man is concerned and proceeds to allow him to walk over her. She cries at home whenever she sees him with Feng Ping. Ahn Yue Sheng despite being so obsessed with Feng Ping he refuses to see that *he* was the problem with their relationship and treats her condescendingly.

With the exception of Jia Nan, A Jiu and Feng Ping's friends, everyone in this drama is unnecessarily critical of Feng Ping and has some sort of poorly reasoned problemed with her. It is excessive to say the least.

To summarise, though this drama had many flaws I thought it was pretty interesting. The mystery behind Feng Ping is handled well, the aforementioned annoying characters make you quite emotional and when Jia Nan and Feng Ping make even the slightest bit of relationship progress it is a time for celebration.

Loved it except.....

It's really good if you are looking for a feel good, lighthearted one with a good laugh. The only thing I felt was the last two episodes were rushed. If you are looking for something new or anything or think it's completely different.. you might be disappointed. But if you watch it just for it's fun element , this is perfect. I can re-watch the first 10 episodes as many times . But may not be the whole drama.

Spoiler alert

Read only if you have too much time, it's might be completely waste of time

Lived it no misunderstanding between mainleads and that's called love where you sir and talk not just do or think what the other feel. It's where u can say whatever you feel and ask what ever you doubt and explain what u feel... Perfectly perfect for me. also all character had their own reasons for what they do.. ofcourse except for the evil who can just be said selfish by end.
Even the amnesia part I enjoyed, ofcourse even if you forget a person the feelings towards them remain .. and it's clearly shown here I loved it completely different from the usual story I have read before in another dramas.

And I don't give it a 10 just because they put my favourite characters in love triangle.. and I hate Love triangle. The moment I saw xiantan and ahjiu in a frame I was sure about it.. but why they show it at the end. They could have just left without showing it no? Or atleast introduce it a little before or add one more girl.. they didn't I hate it.
Ofcourse the message I got from whole drama is life moves on... And atlast the gave one more start.. come on I really don't know how they endup because not much about them were explained. I felt xiantan likes ahjiu but what about fang jha. I also thought the relation between ahjiu and xiantan can be friendship if they didn't show that scene at end.. yyyyyy.

Ok accept it . There are time someone don't know what love is so they will also see with who one is comfortable. Ofcourse as of An and fing they do love but if they can't be happy even after being with one they love.. then is it really love. If one can be happy by seeing another from a distance then it's love but not the one that they have to be together and also u can't leave a person who does not love u is also not love it's a kind of selfishness.
And if one can leave a person who they love as they can't get the love back.. it's just that you have not met the right one.. so wait and time heal. Also love is explained differently for different people. It can be happy only if the two in love explain it in same way. Even though they don't agree on all other things and have a bickering relationship this has to be good. Oh no I wrote too much I don't think anyone will read this but sorry for wasting the time.

Maybe after this I won't feel bad about watching drama with love triangle too. But ofcourse I won't watch, it really is not as shown in drama, how can one pester a person who love someone else . Impossible ... So let me go to next fun drama....

Watch this, it's worth it.

It's worth it.

I won't drop major spoilers but this series was really worth watching. With 30 episodes, you nay think that it was dragged for so long but let me tell you, the pacing was just perfect. And oh, I'm sure that you'll be craving for more when you reach the end.

The best thing about this series was that it wasn't just your typical story, the plot was really good and the actors who portrayed the characters nailed them.

Lastly, let me just say this, the personality of the leads and the side-characters were really lovely, except for the antagonists, of course.

The one word I would describe this drama is unexpected. I'm all for strong female leads who are mysterious and strong on their own. The characters were fun and interesting, and the acting was a good 7.5 for me. I really really liked this drama until the very end. The writers gave it such a big buildup for Feng Ping's brother's reveal but the only thing I got to see were his eyes???? This honestly threw me off so much, as well as the lack of using the infamous line "I'm from..." which in the novel, basically made the grandma faint. I watched this drama whilst it was being aired, and it got me so excited which made me read the novel, and I'm disappointed because the drama didn't achieve the dramatic effect the novel had. I'd probably watch it again only because the beginning and the middle were well done, as well as I loved Jun Hao and A Jiu.

Different

I loved how this drama is not all about first love conquers all.
However Her reason for leaving her first love was really stupid bc it didnt change when she found her 2nd love. So the question remains why did she choose the second love?
He was trying to built something for them, a secure future. And still she left him and didnt stay by his side when he needed her! Her character was a selfish ass if you ask me!!!

And the whole airi project was not explained well. It was a stupid helmet and nobody really knew what it did to wake him up.

I did like the conversations between her and her 2nd love it was really easygoing and funny at times!

Crime/Mystery/Politics/Intrigue plus a bit of romance, what's not to like?

The show started a bit confusing for me. Luckily, that confusion turned into interest really fast. Crime/Mystery/Politics/Intrigue plus a bit of romance, what's not to like?

Good looking cast, specially the ML and the FL, they had a good on screen chemistry. The plot of the story was all over the place and a bit messy to be honest.

Make up/Effects/Fight scenes were ok. Not artistically perfect but just enough to make the show enjoyable. Acting wise, there's so much more to improve.

Uniqe story, not poor rich ML and FL

- ML is kind of playboy first. Have a warm heart, can sacrificed for others, have a very close relationship with his sibling
- FL have a superpower and hidden her identity very well, have a many talent, she have a lot different job, but litteraly you can only see two, have a handsome bestfriend who like a sibbling, her parents death when she is a little, not friendly because her superpower
-many scene stealer, many handsome supporting character, second male married to ML sister
-very mature relationship between ML and FL, ML can be good friend with FL best friend and vise versa, and no useless drama
- warm story and very good chemystry
- because too many scene stealer ML and FL often have a little scrren time at each eps, but its worth to wait.
- my first chinese drama with ML and FL like a prince and princess

Very reccomended for everyone and can warm your heart

Very interesting show, not a bad watch at all..

This was pretty good, could have been better though and I'll explain why.

I loved the story a lot, I cannot complain much about that, the whole idea of the mysterious FL was pretty good, and the rich and goofy ML, usually its the opposite, its great to see this change.

I loved the FL character from beginning to the end, she was a no nonsense, i can defend myself, cool and classy FL without coming off arrogant. Her mysterious background really kept up the suspense which I liked a lot, and her outfits were all soo beautiful, definitely a plus for this drama, tbh basically all the outfits were out together really great, what a breathe of fresh air. The intro song or rather instrumental i really liked it a lot.

The ML was great, all the previous roles I saw him in he was always serious, who knew he was can also be this diverse and act like a total clumsy guy lol. His outfits were sometimes weird, but it matched his character haha, he was also pretty funny and crazy at times, but he did a great job with his roles.

The villains, and secondary characters were also very good as well, the one girl really makes you wanna go crazy lool.. The other supporting cast were all pretty good, the ML bestie and bodyguard, assistant, i think he was his everything haha, i loved his character as well, good characters.

The romance was nice, but tbh... at one point i was so sick and tied of seeing the supporting cast, like who's drama is this?!.. later on in the show you literally hardly saw the leads, it was so annoying, you got more romance from the side couple which is crazy, if they had worked more on that then i would have given a better ratings. I skipped most of those stuff in the later episodes, even the leads there was intimate things they didn't do until much much later in the show, weird.. but they did have good chemistry, that wasn't too bad.

All in all, I have seen some really terrible dramas, this was definitely not a bad drama though.. i have no regrets watching it.. it's good to watch after you seen something that's heavy

the best show for you to bingewatch in the next weekend.

[english is not my main language so i apologize for any mistakes]
I started watching this on friday night and when i realized it was already sunday. I lost an entire weekend watching this because this show it's SUCH a mess that makes all the experience so damn funny.

Let me explain.
So, if you already read the plot summary you know that we have a misterious woman and a handsome guy who end up accidentally meeting each other a zillion of times (ok it's like 5 times but in a city with 26 MILLION people) and start to get close to each other bla bla bla.
And when you read this, you expect that they'll meet a lot of times, fall in love, breakup because of a secret, makeup later, kiss, get married, the end, yay! You're not prepared to what you're going to live in the next 30 episodes.

I MEAN OF ALL THE TROPES. OF ALL THE POSSIBILITIES, WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT!

I know how c-dramas work. Seriously.
In this one you have a female protagonist that is so much not-like-the-other-girls she's bold (but in a nice way) and she's carismatic and she's nice and even though she's the CEO of one of the most richest companies in the country she stills works as an assistant and also works as a sub-chef in a restaurant! And the male protagonist is so-much-like-the-other-cdrama-protagonists! He's handsome, and he's rich and he has tons of women who love him and every breath he takes became news in some internet forum.
And you watch they meet. You watch they interact. And you watch those inexplicable events happening (you know, those type of scenes that are so funny because it doesn't make any sense and you watch and say "woah this is a true c-drama") and you expect that it will flow the normal way. All the 10 characters know each other somehow; they're all connected. You already know who is the lead couple. You just need to find out what the female protagonist is hiding.

Everything it's fine you just have to wait.
And then you find out she has superpowers! Like. Really. She's like three members of EXO combined.
If you didn't love the plot by the episode 15, after this episode you just start loving this show so much because WHY?? IS SHE AN ALIEN? WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN TO HER? WILL SHE BE KIDNAPPED? ARE THEY GOING TO TRY TO USER HER POWERS TO AND EVIL SORT OF THING? WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN THE VILLAIN FOUNDS OUT?

In the end you'll be disappointed, of course. This is a c-drama, don't forget.
But the fact that she has superpowers, the way that they make the fact that she has superpowers something normal like Boku no Hero Academy and only mention her powers in three to six episodes and the way that in the end you just so shocked of everything you saw and everything you heard make this drama so worth it.

I really wasn't expecting this.
Also wasn't expecting the male protagonist's brother having such a sad arc. I didn't watch this drama because of him, I watched to understand how a CEO of a company have time to have more two jobs (and the answer is easy, she has superpowers) but it's really sad that he's the character that suffer (A LOT) for the male protagonist to have a serious side.

This is actually quite nice, the female character is different from the usual Chinese dramas. The other couples were also interesting. I usually skip the other couples in chinese dramas. But for this, the other couples had a much different story with the mc and funny.

The songs were also nice, timely inserted in each scenes.

Just that I felt the ending was too rushed, I was looking forward to Feng Ping's older brother and how he could contribute to the store. The reveal of Feng Ping's real background was also anticlimactic- I expected a more dramatic reveal haha since her character is set to be mysterious etc.

Caanan was also an actor in the story but later part of the drama, there were no more scenes related to his work/profession. ?

I wish there's a season 2 so we could see the wedding.
But overall, i felt good with the story, something is always happening in each episode and the characters were well played. Actors in other Chinese dramas are quite stiff, but it's s not the case for this.

Plus everyone is goodlooking! ?

The main couple deserves more

At the start, I'm confused with the plot. I watched this on subs so maybe I'm missing something but it felt like I was dropped in the midst of the story. There's no build-up of the world and the characters are horribly introduced. It's almost criminal how the second leads are portrayed, they seem to be one-dimensional and had no redeeming characteristics. But thank goodness for the writer and director who made a female lead that makes sense. Camille Hua embodied a strong and intelligent woman. She has flaws but, as an audience, it's easy to fall in love with her, so we can sympathize with the male lead, who's almost perfect, why he also fell in love with her. This is my first drama with Wang Rui Chang. He's a total eye-candy but what is surprising is that he sold his character to me. By episode 17, I've lost interest in the story about the acquisition and the businesses involved. If the story was a little bit more refined, this easily could be one of my favorites with such a good ensemble.
