I've watched this drama probably years ago, but still this is one of my fav family drama that I've rewatched maybe more than 3 times. This drama tells the story about a family , not only one couple.
The story starts off because of arranged marriage between Song Yi Jie and Ke Wei Xiang and this is happen because of the grandmother. And not the typical CEO in the other drama which is arrogant, cool, and rude, the male lead is very kind and considerate. The other couple is the male lead's sister and brother. Their story was pretty interesting too.

Because this drama has a very long episode, which is 84 episode , so the story will be dragging and long enough but it's really worth to watch. I just found that this drama is like our real life, so every problems will seems not to complicated but acceptable. You will see the problems between marriage couple, in laws, mistress, friendship, and family. Although the relationship between the main couple will have a slow progress, but it is really worth it because it is the definition of the real true love. What I love about this drama is all of the characters are so good, they have strengths and weakness, nobody is perfect, and no one is really evil. Everyone will make mistakes and watch this drama of course will make you laugh so hard because of the male lead's brother, sad and crying so much, happy and content too.

Overall, I really love Annie Chen and Chris Wang actings, they both have chemistry and slow but sure they really turns to a perfect couple. Not to forget Puff Kuo, Jennifer Hong, and Ken Hsieh, they are all my fav taiwanese actress and actors since years ago. They are really awesome! especially the one who acted as grand mother is one of my fav too.
This drama maybe not the best drama, but it definitely really potrayed a family story in real life, and you will get so many lesson learned in here!

It can be a better story if the writer is more. matured and creative in story writing. The lame scenes of dragging on the story, for eg. the use if repeated phone ringing to delay Wei Xiang saying he loves Yi Jie is so childish. The differentiation of a good and matured writer is the ability to write story without repeating the use of same story line. Overall, 84 episodes could either be reduce to 70 or have better non repetitive content if wanting to extend to 84 episodes. Then the story is full of contradictions that starts to get into you when it keeps dragging on.
Furthermore, scenes with exaggerated scenes to add humour starts to get irratating when used too many times. This is a poor judgement by the director and is really childish mentality. Comedy can be funny without these childish comedy actions. So typical of Taiwanese dramas... Time to grow up...

What a waste :( ... in the beginning...

Because I always finish the movies/series I watch, I have to finish it but not without giving my review.

Since as today it's on Netflix, let me share my views.
The plot is ok, not really funny.

As for the irritation, the "grandma" that is in fact a man dressed as a women, I already cringe.
But the other one is the female lead's mom : also a man.

They don't have enough older actresses?

So this is really painful to watch.

Also that tyrannical girl, as is the brother couldn't just take it from her hand... Not saying what it is though.
As if he also couldn't explain his parents what happened.

All of them are lying to each other about anything!

This show is not even based on misunderstandings but lies...

I just cannot wait to finish to see where it goes because I always finish what I start.

Oh and the "grandma" mad at Xiang because he lied about her? What about YOU who lied to the whole family to force him to marry?

I'm at 72 now and not happy her first love left :(

What's that background noise sometimes? And this music? You barely hear what they say.

Li was overacting, painful to watch.

It's a great comedy-romance drama. Luv Chris. I only wish another female actress would have played the lead role instead of Anne. She was just too over the top when it came to telling others off. Not only that there was no absolutely no chemistry with Chris. He needed a female with that wow factor which I'm sorry Anne didn't have it. Now I've seen her act in other dramas but I've heard the leading guy in that drama is her boyfriend. However this drama it seems was from her beginning yr of acting. So she's improved. But she just didn't do it for me. I was so turned off everytime she came into the picture. The drama has u laughing and it's a very laid back drama. If Anne weren't in this drama I'd watch it a sec time. U always see things u missed during ur 1st viewing. I can't say as I always do it's a "MUST WATCH" because it isn't. All I can say is if u want to laugh w a little romance please watch.

This review may contain spoilers

Watch this if you want to be frustrated for 90% of the runtime after a few episodes.

First off the grandma is an evil cartoony villain and most of the supporting characters are just her henchmen catering to her every whim.

I have only gotten to the 15th episode while skipping through the last 4. Dropping this show because its just too damn frustrating, the grandma wanting to keep her promise of marriage from more than 20 years ago to a guy she met for like one hour is already bad, but her schemes and faking cancer to get them married is just evil. The show portrays her as kinda silly and lovable? but she is EVIL.
The female lead started out ok, she had a bit of spunk and was strong willed, not budging on selling her childhood home, and then she turned into a rag for the whims of the family and plot. She was trying to be a lawyer, but failed the bar exam 5 times cause she missed it for numerous reasons, then like a slap in the face to the viewer she gets pregnant (the pregnancy is fine) and in the last episode she misses the exam again by going into labour infront of the exam building (i just skimmed through the last episode).
The male lead was honestly whatever for me, kinda typical rich kid exec in a soap trying to make his family happy.
The other characters are kinda annoying too, though the ML sister started out ok, she became part of the cancer scheme, so she get lost.
Honestly, its probably like 4, but the granma and the last episode bring it down to 1.5.

Beware of the annoying FL

This was hard to watch for me. It has one of things I hate the most: the overly self righteous female. Dear goodness, from episode one, she was judgmental, argumentative, a slanderer and more. It’s like watching a citizen patrol correct someone without having a clue. Make an assumption and just start accusing and blaming without evidence. I can’t say that the FL acting was bad, it was most likely how her character was written. Just watching her was annoying and exhausting.

An example: a person gets hit by a car, the the character of our FL would run up to the scene, see the person on the ground and sees the male lead standing near a car. Because he was driving a car, it was probably him and probably his fault. She would then shout “it was him, don’t let him get away.” Poor guy could have just stopped to help but now branded a criminal. Those types of assumptions are made here.

To make it worse we have the cliche’ elements too.

What I do like about the series is that the families treat each other well. You can feel the warmth.
