I have a high expectation for this drama to begin with. When i read the title, i hope that it would not turn to usual chinese republican era drama but things just don't work along with my expectation.

The story presented in this drama is typically a triangle love that many modern dramas have showcased. The only thing that differs is the time setting. A third story is written with consistent and good pace. And after that, the story progression seems to become slower. Although the pace is slower, the story and the pace are consistent. The first half of the drama is spent for the love story between the female lead and second male lead so don't be surprised if the appereance of the first male lead is not as much as the second lead in the first half. This drama isn't cringy but it's draggy. There are many plot holes but i still can grasp the story. Sometimes, the logic of the characters are illogical. The story is interesting but it lacks of details and it has quiet a lot of fillers. The ending is quiet good, confusing and rush at the same time. There are too many characters died in the end. The ending for this drama (republican era arc) is just the same with other republican era dramas

The casts' acting is good. I don't have any concern about it.

The music of this drama is quiet pleasing

If you're looking for romance drama with happy ending, i don't recommend you to watch it. But you can give it a try

I've never been this intrigued by a drama, but this drama trigger my curiosity. This drama is a decent work.

Story
The story of this drama is a one week story that might be common in dorama-land but the whole events of the drama is written accordingly and it's a pleasure to me. The forensic-related matters are shown perfectly with details that can be understood by commoners. Unlike other forensic dramas, this drama also tackle on several issues emerging in society, such as gender equality with a good proportion. This drama did not exaggerate everything. All are good in a perfect measure. Honestly, a drama which is written this well is hard to come by

Acting
Ishihara Satomi has never failed to impress me. She nailed every character that she play. She's a great actress. Other casts have also done such terrific job. Simply to say, the acting of the casts are extremely good.

Music
I love the music, especially the song titled lemon. When i listen to it, it stuck in my ears

This drama is hard to come by. Decent writing, terrific acting and good music is a perfect combination. You must watch it

The idea of the story of thia drama is quiet common among wuxia dramas. But, the most different thing is how the writer make the main leads developed in term of power and maturity. The stage that the lead accomplished is well described. Unfortunately, there are too many plot holes that make me unable to understand several things. The pace for the first ten episode is consistent. The episodes after the tenth episode get draggier which make me uncomfortable for some moments. Fortunately, the drama has a good ending although there'll be another season.
The thing that i don't like from this drama: The male lead is too easy that make girla fall in love with him. It just make me feel cringy.

The acting of the casts are good. I've no problem with their acting

The song is quiet good

This drama is quiet good but you need to prepare for several plot holes and for a draggy story

I decide to watch Fu Yao after my friends advise me to watch it. Honestly, i like this drama but there are several things that become my concern

Story
This drama starts with strong and satisfying pace. Moreover, it has a promising premise to begin with. From the first episode until the first half of this drama, the pace is consistent and good to watch. Unfortunately, the pace in the second half get messed by draggy and unnecessary details. Inconsistency begin in the second half in which there are several unnecessary scenes. The ending of this drama doesn't satisfy me. I thought that since the ending is the conclusion of the whole drama, the ending should have been better than the current ending. Moreover, it should be ended cautiously, meticulously as well as beautifully. Unfortunately, the ending feels a rush to me and it leaves a bad taste to me

Acting
Yang Mi - She's a good actress although she become stiff at several points. Her acting is acceptable tho
Ethan Ruan - He excels his job. His character is well potrayed and honestly, he is a great actor.
Other casts - I give a respect to the cast who play the merciless prime minister. He's the best support cast to me. Other casts has done a great job too

Music
I love the opening song :D

This is the first time for me to give such high ratings to a drama. This drama captivates me in many ways. The story is heartwarming and realistic which rarely seen in Chinese dramas. I love the way it keeps the story's consistency. Honestly, i'm a little doubt about this drama but it turn out to be a mistake. A wide range characters is completed with such balance story of each character. There's nothing which is being exaggerated. The point of illegitimate child is relatable, especially in Asia. Many people are being sensitive when it comes to illegitimate children. The story is a win for me. For sure. The only thing that i'm a little confused is the time skip when the characters were still in high school. The time slip is done abruptly. But it doesn't ruin the story though. The plot from the beginning until the ending is consistent. There's only a very few iddle scene.

I'm impressed with each casts who have done such great job. They potray each character well. There's no exaggerations in their acting.

The music is good. It stuck in my head

I highly recommend this drama for you. Just give it a shot!!!

I've already watch several school dramas and this drama is one of the best dramas i've watched. The score in my review is the highest so far. Usually i'm really picky with a drama and i always give the score as objective as possible based on several elements of the drama itself
It revolves on everything happen in the school and in the surround of the leads. The story is simple, well developed and embroidered beautifully. I've already watch My Huckleberry Friends earlier than this drama and they share several differences. I'll be baffled if i have to choose between both of them. But if i need to choose, with you captivates me more than my huckleberry friends because several strengths that i got after i watch it.
Besides a well and a beautiful story, the cast selection is amazing. I do really feel the chemistry between Geng Geng and Yu Huai. They're both amazing. It feels as if i'm one of the characters in the drama. I think, their characterization is the best from all school dramas that i've already watch (well, i've already watch more than 250 k dramas, 165 Dorama and 100 C-Drama. Just estimate how many school dramas that i've already watch). Some months ago, refrain myself to write review after i watch this drama because i think that i'll be biased. But now, i'm sure that i'll not be biased since the characters stuck in my head for months. Support roles play well. There's no exaggeration in the drama.
For the music, this drama surely has good songs to be listened to.

Although this drama is written beautifully, there are several weakness that i need to admit. Since the character development revolves on the leads, support characters are less developed. Furthermore, the ending is a bit rush but it doesn't ruin the drama.

A recommended drama to watch.

This drama mesmerized me in so many ways. I've been rewatched this drama for over 3 times but i still don't get bored over it.

STORY
This drama has an interesting idea to begin with. The story flowed and embroidered beautifully. Honestly, after watching hundreds of dramas ( i watch more than 200 kdramas, more than 150 dorama and almost 120 c-drama), i'm dare to say the writing of this drama is one of the best so far. The sequences of events is written with a very good composition. There isn't dull moments. The story and plot keep me intrigued although at several points i can predict what's going to happen. It's well paced and its consistency is freaking good. Plot holes are presented but they're just tiny holes. Romance leads might not be shown too much but it's written in details and simpler which make the story more interesting and doesn't go astray from the main story. The composition and balance of this drama is too good.

ACTING
I give a standing applause to the casts. Their acting are on point. They don't give unnecessary expression. The leads (main leads and second leads) are all good. Their acting are just beyond my expectation. I know that they're good actors and actresses but i don't know that they would act so great. When the leads act, i can interpret and feel what the characters feel. The main leads (Zanilia Zhao and Lu Yi) act beautifully. Seeing from the way they are staring at each other, i can see that they're really falling in love although romance isn't really shown up in the story. I just can't believe how good their chemistry is. In addition, the casts who act as Feng Manna and Song Mian affect me too much

MUSIC
I love the ending and the insert music :D

I highly recommend you to watch this drama if you are a fan of this type of drama. But, if you're a fan of romance dramas that do not require you to think as they have simple plots, you can still give it a try though it might be boring to you

I do not know how to express myself after watching this drama, but surely i just want to review this drama
-For the acting, i've no complain. It is just several casts (sometimes) going overboard on their characters so the feel of the characters do not feel natural.
-I've no problem with the music. But it just so so
-Here's my biggest concern, the story and the plot of the drama. The idea of the drama is average but several additional situations have been added which make some impact on the drama. This drama start with a good pace but start slowing after episode 4. After that, the story keep dragging and slowing eventhough it has clear direction. I just hope that some unnecessary scene can be removed so the drama won't be boring. Such draggy and slow progress in the drama can't keep me to be interested in the drama for the whole episodes. Honestly, seeing the story of this drama, 30-35 episodes will be enough to cover all. There are several plot holes but i think it is acceptable.

Actually i my biggest concern on Chinese drama is their likelihood to create such tear-jerking scene. What i don't like from chinese drama is the way that they use to create such situation. They do really like to kill the character of the drama abruptly. Honestly, seeing the progression of this drama, i didn't think there'll be a character that would die soon. But my thought was wrong. I don't really like a situation when a character suddenly just die, but it happen in this drama. Frankly speaking, this drama redo the mistake that many other dramas have done. I don't mind if the drama kill a character, but it should be clean and tidy so it doesn't ruin the story and the expectation of those who watch it. I'm really dissapointed on that part.

I recommend this drama. You can give it a try. But you have to be patient for such draggy and slow plot as well as killing character scene.

To begin with, this drama has an ordinary storyline. At first, such commonly used story would be okay but in fact, it doesn't turn well. There are too many plot holes in this drama. The drama has a mediocore and flat storyline as well as poor in its delivery. To be honest, this drama has such inconsistent and include unnecessary details, leaving such a bad aftertaste to me because there are too many things being fastforward thus some important moments are not delivered and not emphasized well. Moreover, this drama is draggy and clingy.

The acting of each casts are good enough. It is a shame that such potential casts can't unleash their potential because of the script. Indeed, there are several casts which act too much but it is still acceptable. The music doesn't please my ears but i think it's okay.

And my biggest issue is the ending. To me, the ending is a conclusion of the drama. Even some dramas are good enough as a whole, but the ending could ruin the drama itself. This drama has a questionable ending since it doesn't really emphasized what's happening in the end. But, the ending of this drama might be both sad and happy ending. Referring to the last scene, the girl might die (sad ending) but she meet the man whom already dead earlier (happy ending).

Personally, i don't really recommend you to watch it. But it's just okay if you want to watch it

This is the first time for me to give such a high score for a drama. Not to exaggerate, this drama has fulfilled most of my expectations.

Story and Plot
This drama has a good story to begin with. Why i can say it has a good story? The idea of this drama may alike with the other dramas, but when it came to the full story, it is a different drama. Since this drama depicts on related cases which allows me to focus on the story itself. Moreover, this drama has a solid story. After watching an episode, i can't wait to watch another. For the pace, this drama has a strong and consistent pace which i rarely see in other dramas. The story might slow down at some point, but it doesn't require too much time to back to its original pace. The ending is embroidered beautifully. More interaction between snail and lion might be the only thing that i want to see.

Acting and Cast
Each cast suit every character. The acting of the leads impress me the most. The leads' acting is completing each other and suit with the characters in the story. Their acting make me able to interpret the story of the drama. Again, it's a rare thing for me to see such suitable acting.

Music and Cinematography
I like all the music from this drama, each of them please my ears. The scenes are also captured well, leaving such a good impact to me. The editing might be done in rush so there are some scenes which don't look good. But after all, it's acceptable

This drama is a well done drama

I give this drama a try because some reviews suggest me to give it a shot. Honestly, i'm really disappointed with this drama. The story progression is slow and it's not nice enough to begin with. There are too many plot holes which make me confused about the progression of the story. The pace is definitely slow and the characterization is inconsistent. The change in circumstances within drama is done abruptly. It makes me unable to comprehend what is really going on. Moreover, I don't know and i can't identify in which position a character is since the story involves such vague character.

The main leads, especially male leads have done a good job in potraying the characters. I'm a bit irritated with the female lead since she, sometimes become slightly stiff and flat in potraying the characters.

I give it a try for 10 episodes and drop it at episode ten too.

It's a must watch drama

The story of this drama is simple but very it's captivating. The story is written beautifully with consistent pace from the very start although it slows down a bit after episode 11. Twists that have been added to the story make the drama become more intriguing. Moreover, side story of characters other than the leads is inserted with a good proportion. Honestly, the story is perfectly written.

The casts have done great job in playing their roles. Not only the leads, but also the supporting characters. It's really heart wrenching to see the female lead despair as well as the male lead remorse. The other characters, especially main lead's sister and friend are potrayed in a very crazy but suitable way. I highly appreciate the casts

I love all the sountracks of this drama. I listen to all the soundtracks without being tired of them.

I strongly recommend you to watch it.

This drama is interesting for a theme but lack of details.
The plot is well made but slow paced. It consistent most of the time. The thing that i regret is the detail of lead's parents death. The murder of lead's parent isn't well described and lack of details. It makes me unable to comprehend the story fully. The portion of the show is laid on romance story between leads

The acting of the casts is good. The other things are also good.

The last thing that i want to say. It's a drama with heavy romance but fortunately it isn't clingy. That's the rarest thing i've seen from romance dramas

This drama has several pros and cons within. But since i've known nothing about the story from the novel and i'm not a fan of the casts, i'm confident enough to give a just review.

Story
Since i don't know about the story at all, i find this drama has a promising story and it would become a hit if the story is developed well. But in fact, the story isn't well developed. There are several inconsistencies and plot hole within the drama. But fortunately i can grasp the whole big picture of the drama. It is draggy but i don't think it is as draggy as several reviews. The pace for 25 episodes (for me) is consistent and it become inconsistent afterwards. The ending is just good enough. It's is not that satisying or that dissapointing. With such a huge range of characters, this drama shouldn't just end that way.

Acting
All the cast must have done their best in the completion of the drama. But, i concern about the casts. The first male lead sometimes being inconsistent while the first female lead might have problem in expressing sorrow or pain. The casts selection is good already, but the execution of the characters isn't well done. The first female lead surely can act. But, she has problem when it comes to expressing sorrow or pain. I just don't get the feeling about it. A good point from her acting is a natural acting when it comes to calm ambiance. The chemistry is quiet good. The ace of this drama to me is the princess from the enemy's country.

Music
I'm no that fond with the songs from this drama. But it's okay

Conclusion: just watch if you have much time to kill.

For a low budget drama, Go Princess Go is a pretty decent drama. I do really like the premise presented in the drama. Honestly speaking, it's my very first time to watch the drama with such premise. With low budget, the production team exceed my expectations surprisingly (although the costumes are strange). This drama is funny and quirky as well as intriguing. There are many plot holes but fortunately the drama isn't ruined. I can still tolerate it.

The girl who play Zhang Peng Peng must be appreciated well because she brought the drama to another level. Her partner, the male lead was a bit stiff. But, since her acting in the drama was very good, the weakness of male lead wasn't shown.

For the music, it's quiet good but i prefer not to listen to it. I almost forgot to include a very important point in this drama. The ending. I prefer to watch a drama with a single ending. But, this drama has two different ending. Even two different ending give me alternatives to choose the ending that i like, it also shows how the drama doesn't really have a good and solid ending since it can't really emphasized on everything that has been happened within the drama

If you're looking for a funny drama, it's your cup of tea. But if you're looking for a well made drama, you may think twice to give it a shot
