The emperor goes to save Yao Mo Wan, but instead of saving her, he orders his men to fire on them. Yao Mo Wan is fine anyway, convincing the emperor that the kidnappers ran away. The emperor suspects that Ye Jun Qing rescued Yao Mo Wan and sends spies to watch him. Ye Jun Qing sends a coded message to test Yao Mo Wan's identity, but it turns out that the emperor also knows the code. Yao Mo Wan realizes it is a trap. Yao Mo Wan and Ye Jun Qing pretend he killed the sister while they have a secret conversation where she tells him that she is Yao Mo Xin.
