this show is very exciting from beginning to the end.it will get you hooked esp. on the romance part regarding polyamory which is very timely and relevant to our society right now.

STORYLINE;
The story so far is quite good and intriguing. you'll get to know the aspect as to why each of the characters are as what they are at present.
The story of the side characters will also hook you.(heartbreaking)
On the polyamory aspect, i get that the show is trying to convince people that such a perfect relationship exist which by the way does. In this show on the other hand you'll just have to imply that it does because clearly the show was forcing it.
There are scenes that shows that there is equal love among the three which by the way is expressed verbally but not entirely emotionally. I'm not sure if its with the actors or with story. It's giving me the vibe that the one ML is showing more affection to the FL than the other ML. The trio was mostly in my opinion hooked together because of a central figure which was the ML neo wherein the TWO other leads have romantic interest to. While this Two other leads doesn't seem to show as much affection and interest to one another as compared to what they feel towards Neo.
It felt forced. You'll just have to imply what their trying to convey as opposed to what is being shown."they love each other equally and romantically".the romantic story about the trio could've been more convincing if they added scenes where the other LEADS showed more intimacy to each other.(SHIN AND MIW),rather than making NEO as the only central figure amongst the three

ACTORS:
Great acting!! THERE ARE FLAWS

SCRIPT:
could've been made more convincing.esp the scenes.

MUSIC:
I love thai music.
SOUNDTRACK WAS GREAT

OVERALL:
A MIND OPENER.

I feel like this show had potential and I quite liked the first five episodes, but this does not mean that the show does not have its own flaws. Sometimes it seemed like the trio were on a road trip instead of running away because Neo seemed too cherry and chill-chill, and Shin was all about me-meh; and/or both the villains were at time reckless. Why road trip? Because the story did not really move forward until something tragic happened that triggered Neo's reaction to facing reality realizing that he needs to finish and end this once and for all; starts his little short mini training and goes solo. Why were the villains reckless? Well, first villain was strangled to death by second villain's people in a barber shop, yes, in a barber shop. And, I thought first villain had more money, and more power as that was what was emphasized by the two villains. How the heck did first villain get killed so easily let alone prior to this getting shot in the leg in his really tight, tight, tight top security home? Now, lets not forget about the second villain. Idk why he had to be killed by Mae? Where were his guards at that time? How in the world did Mae find his secret hideout where he took the trio? Mae could not even track the trio down herself let alone a gang leader.

Another thing that I did not like was the dragged out relationship between Neo, Shin, and Miw. It became quite the focal point of the show. I did not mind that they all had a correlation of some sort of a past, present or future together, but I wanted this clarification to end once they all had that confirmation or acknowledgement. TBH, I found Shin's character quite annoying because he kept wanting reaffirmation of where he stands in the relationship or how important he is to Neo. If Shin was actually a GIRL instead of a BOY, I wondered if this character would have received the same amount of love from the audience in comparison to Tay. They had Neo stringing along Miw and Shin, which annoys the heck out of me because apparently he loves them both, but you always love something more than the other. If you watch the show then you can tell that Neo treats Miw really differently from Shin especially his gaze and his jealousy, which is why I get confused as to what his intention was in saying that he loved them both. If they all had a friendly relationship where they all loved each other like friends or family then I can get by with this, but NOPE they all (at least in Shin's or Neo's case) wanted something from the other and I did not like the show for milking this relationship.

I started this drama because of Joss and he's able to keep my gaze lock down on him throughout the entire show, but I ended up falling for Mild's character, Miw. I am not a big fan of Mild, but her character Miw is definitely one of the reason why I stayed with this show. Other people may have their own reasons, but my reason was Miw. Miw was pretty much an all around character that you just want to root for since she was not attached to anything, but gives her best at everything. She was blunt and bad ass; like she herself said, she saved Neo twice even if this event of saving him brought her back to her traumatic past. If Miw did not pull that trigger, Neo would have been dead by the first episode. I am able to sympathize with Miw since she was the only one running from a true traumatic past events leading to who she is today. It changed her, but it also made her stronger. She puts her own happiness and well-being before others, but this does not mean that she is completely heartless or uncaring. She does more of giving advice sometimes in a blunt way, enabling the action or is the brain, and following through with her plans. One thing I love about her is that she does not need a man to make her know her own self worth because she never chased after Neo nor tie herself down to a guy. It was only towards the end where she finally lets everything go, thought of what she really wanted, and chased after her own happiness.

Dangerously Underrated series

Not only is the cast attractive, but the story is very well written, and the music is awesome. I love the fact this is not one of those sappy BL shows that we have all seen. It is mature and can get dark, and that is what I love about it. While it is refreshing to have shows like BLs, rehashing the same plot limits them, and that in and of itself is a bad thing. I have binged a lot of BL stories in 2020, and for the most part, they all followed the same storyline. This and Cheat were the only ones I watched so far that dared to be different, and boy did it pay off.

Find Your Chosen Family!

This series is a perfect example of an underrated gem that was ahead of its time in my opinion.
Had 3 Will Be Free been made in 2022 or 2023 I feel that they could've made it longer and more fleshed out.
However the show as is, stands amazingly.
Let's start with my favorite aspect of the show, the fact that P' Jennie plays a major character in the show.
We got to see a full fleshed out character with aspirations and who wasn't’ the butt of the joke. One of my biggest issues with Trans characters in BL has always been how they're supposed to be comedic relief, who more often than not they expect you to laugh at. Jennie did a really good job showcasing this and I was so appreciative of the emotions and the depth she gave this character Mae.

I showed up to this drama to see a polyamorous relationship and I got a polyamorous relationship. This was a genuine relationship between a bisexual man, a straight woman, and a gay man. Neo asserted that he loved both Shin and Mew, equally and at the same time. I liked this, I liked how the relationships progressed. I liked that he was able to express how each relationship was different, but he was still getting exactly what it is that he needed. And at the same time seeing Miw and Shin form their own bond and connection while they both loved the same man who loved them. When people hear of an open or polyamorous relationship, they think that it’s cheating or that one person isn’t enough, but that isn’t the case at all and I think this drama did a good job at not cheapening it in such a way. Joss as Neo was great. He played the role of the Bisexual Polyamorous Protector so well that he remains one of my favorite characters to date. (This role is exactly why I have faith in Joss for his upcoming role in My Golden Blood where he'll be playing a Vampire that protects his lover.)
Tay as Shin the sensitive but strong willed artist is my Favorite Tay Tawan character. Now don't get me wrong I LOVE Pete from Dark Blue Kiss but I gotta go with Shin, he was such a sweet angel who deserved the whole world.
And lastly miss Mild as Miw rounded out our trio as the Small but Loud mouthed tough girl who would cut you but if she cared about you, she'd cut For you.
Honestly this Trio gave me life. I'm a sucker for the concept of Chosen family. I dream to have my own one day and seeing positive representations of it on screen brings me so much joy.

Love Whoever and However Many You Want, Respectfully!

So darn close to a perfect 10

When watching my dramas, I'm usually alternating between two or three at a time. Before watching 3 Will Be Free, I was actually Kiss, which stars Mild and Tay as friends. Unbeknownst to me, seeing as I picked 3 Will Be Free at complete random by YT suggestion. I was shocked to see Mild and Tay... but the biggest surprise was at the end of the first episode. From that moment on, I was HOOKED. I didn't watch a single episode of Kiss until I finished 3WBF a few days later.

I don't consider myself an expert on Thai dramas but 3WBF had some of the best production that I've seen from a Thai drama so far. The consistent use of blues, pinks, and fluorescent lighting was extremely atmospheric and perfectly encapsulated the neo-noir aesthetics that the team was clearly aiming for.

The storyline was thrilling. The first episode alone stunned me. And there were many many moments in just 10 episodes that continued to drop my jaw. Well, except for almost everything that happened in the last episode. The last episode was formulaic and Mr. Thana went from a ruthless mafia boss to a cartoony, mustache-twirling villain. Despite how ridiculous Mr. Thana's revenge plot was, the ending was still satisfying if I can overlook the outcome of the poly ship between the 3 leads.

I really loved the three main leads and their relationship and chemistry with each other. But there was only two problems that I had with the show overall; and one of those issues is extremely offensive.

The first and, less serious, issue was the ending. The only thing that I didn't see coming in the last episode was the throuple not really being together. This show built a beautiful polyamorous relationship between the three leads. I watched majority of the show on Youtube and as I read the comments, I noticed that a bunch of people felt that Shin was the oddball out in his relationship with Neo and Miw. Personally, I didn't feel that way at all. I admit that it was evident that the dynamics between every two relationship was different but together, they were one, loving unit.

Or so I thought. The ending threw me for a loop. It tried to play too many cards at once. Neo and Miw are together. Shin... isn't with them but the offer is on the table and instead he's dating a minor side character whom he lacked chemistry or good development with. 10 episodes of the main three being the true romance just to end it all on a "we're all just good friends". I'm flabbergasted.

My 2nd issue was a minor character named Mater (and, to some extent, her friend). Mater and her friend are neighbors of Neo who spend their time fantasizing about his sex life. Mater's presence was off-putting. She was exaggeratingly silly and a complete separation from the intense crime ambience. Mater felt like an insert of BL fans and it was a very negative portrayal. She was clearly a cruel joke, which makes it all the worse that Mater is a black trans girl. I found the character to be extremely offensive and I felt uncomfortable whenever she was on screen. The production team actually went through so much effort to make her look unattractive (I'm assuming it was to match her annoying personality) because I managed to find her instagram (g.sabale) and she's stunning.

It's a shame that the show resulted to that for a few cheap laughs because Mae's storyline took my breath away. I was amazed to see a revenge plot in a noir setting be lead by a pre-op trans woman. Jennie, Gunsmile, and Max really brought those characters to life. I found myself rooting for them as well as the main three, despite the direct conflict.

Overall, I think 3 Will Be Free should go down as one of the best Thai dramas. Had it not been for the ending or Mater's character (especially), it would have been a perfect 10.

Good for Action packed Binge Watching

First of all this is my 2nd time writing a review. I don’t normally write reviews, but whenever a Thai series piqued my interest I try to compose a good write up about it. So here it goes, the plot was actually good I did not expect it to end so well due to the fact that I read some spoiler recently before watching this series. The actors who played Neo, Miw, Tay, Ter, Mae, and Leo were actually good. This BL series that my friend suggested is highly recommended, the right blend of romance, action, thrillers and cliff hangers per episode will make you want to finish it over a night. I have to say that I loved every bit of it, although I was quite bored in the first few episodes since I’m leaning towards romance more... I understood what the director was actually trying to build all throughout the series. I learned a lot from their quotable lines, it also shares value, equality, and also taking into account that every actions come with consequences. You live by the gun, die by the gun, I seriously did not expect that Mae would be the one responsible killing Mr. Thana, this is something I did not foresee. However, in an alternate universe I was actually shipping Ter and Mae... unfortunately Ter died. To sum it all up, it’s a great series by GMM TV I’m really loving series made by GMM TV, they really know their target audience.

GUNS & 3 PEOPLE ON A RUN WITH SOME LOVE TO SHARE

As the philosopher once said: "the power that that has, the intelligence that that has, the clearance that that has, the access that that has, the influence that that has, the profile that that has, the international implications that that has" this is how well made that show is... LIKE I'M NOT KIDDING, once you get into it you won't stop watching. great character design, gripping plot (that in 98% makes total sense), amazing and versitile cast and lots of surprises — watching this show definently won't get boring. there's action, drama and romance mixed in perfect proportions. the series touches (maybe just sometimes a little bit clumsily) important subjects such as: sexuality, gender identity, sexual abuse, domestic violence, anger issues, hate speech, death, etc. gotta give it to the people working on the series that they created a good story that is thought-provoking and definitely sheds some light on topics that still could be a taboo these days (like transsexuality or polyamory). 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND, HENS. (I HAD A LOT OF FUN WATCHING IT. I WAS SAD, HAPPY, EMBARRASSED, SHOCKED AND MAYBE EVEN SHED SOME TEARS *winks*)

Like it very much

I love how messy this series is. It's well executed and the acting is very touching! It just made me realize how we need more three ways in crime and I was so happy to see Jennie Panhan doing such a great job envolved in all that action and drama. .......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

I loved this show but this romance line is really confusing...

I loved this show but this romance line is really confusing...
I get it's a poly relationship but it didn't feel like it. I couldn't feel the spark between Shin and Miw at all. Shin is gay. He's in love with Neo. Miw is in love with Neo too, and Neo is in love with them both. Shin and Miw loves each other too, but definitely not in the romantic way.
Also at the end this whole Shin and PP scene... I just don't get it.
But I loved it tho. It was really emotional. I loved how it could make me laugh one time and cry next and how I never once skipped. It wasn't boring at all.
Also, I really love when the characters are complex and not just good or bad.

A little unsatisfied

!A LITTLE SPOILER!

This is my first time writing a review and I've been thinking I should write one. The story was great, it was nice to see women empowerment but somethings just don't make sense, I'm writing this like a year or months after I watched the series so I'm sorry if some are wrong but didn't Neo say Shin was just a friend? If my memory serves me right, I don't think there was a scene where Neo said his feelings changed for Shin, this just made it confusing.

I forgot that guy's name (the one that liked Shin) but it was quite unnecessary how they put him there and the way Shin just let him almost kiss him even when he had Neo and Miw.

It's clear that they care for each other deeply but it's quite hard to see that they're all romantically inlove, atleast equally.

There's one thing that they didn't show on screen that made me question so hard, where did Neo get his bullets? Yes I know he got the gun from fighting one of the guys but it's just a gun with some ammo, where did he get ammo when it ran out? He's been shooting that gun for a bunch of times. Although this isn't important, it would've been nice to know where he got extra ammo because he couldn't have just gotten them anywhere not atleast if you got a permit or something to own a gun.

There was a scene where Shin peeked through the door to see Miw and Neo hugging, the difference between him and Miw was quite big. Neo stared at Shin while Neo touched Miws hands. I thought Shin would go inside and join the hug but he didn't, Instead he chose to close the door secretly and quietly That was disappointing and sad.

I liked the message, like at the ending they said, love whoever you want, love however you want and love how many you want. Or something among those lines.

Miw and Shin just looked like friends tbh but I know that two people can share a person without loving the other, so it's okay I guess.

Their kissing scene was nice though, their hug was so cute and wholesome too.

That guy that liked Shin, at the end he said something to Shins and I thought Miw and Neo would get jealous just like how Neo got jealous over Miws ex, but they just laughed it off, the show might be saying that they're open for Shin to have a separate boyfriend or for them to invite another person in but poly relationships, from what I know, are obviously just like any other relationships, I mean who wouldn't get jealous if their lover is getting hit on by another person? Poly relationships only work if everyone discussed if someone new should get in their relationship or they'll date another person outside their relationship, it's consent and permission.

I feel like there's more I could discuss but that's all for now I guess. If I can edit this, I'll definitely edit it when I could think of other things to discuss.

The show could've been better, atleast a little in my opinion.

Kinda unfair representation of sexuality and polyamory (IN MY OPINION)

A MUST WATCH. NOT FOR ROMANCE BUT FOR THE THRILL.
~
First things first...towards the end of episode 9 and the entire episode 10, the decision the director took to dress Shin the way be he did...chef's kiss. Thank you so much for that.
~
Ok...now the most important thing according to 'ME'.
-.This series neither represented the BISEXUALITY nor the POLYAMORY properly. The way those two were depicted, kinda made it look bad because in real life that's not how bisexuality (or polyamory) works (I'm Bi myself).
-> FYI bisexual people don't love both the gender at the same time.
-> Tbh...I realized how they (series maker) played with the sexuality spectrum to show the audience the 'diversity' of love.
->Fine I understand the 'polyamory' situation but it doesn't involve having threesomes. I don't think people who practice polyamory do threesome (or keep simultaneous physical relationship with their partners) even though they exhibit the desire to have intimate relationship with multiple people.
BUT as the "love" represented by the characters were 'consensual'...I'll accept it.
(IN SHORT, A VERY MESSY/KINDA POOR REPRESENTATION OF SEXUALITY.)

The entire situation didn't just felt right for Shin (poor thing).
He (played) was just an innocent bunny who fell for a guy but...nobody actually truly loved him you see neither the guy (even though he said so) nor the girl (as he was gay to begin with so...)
He genuinely fell for Neo but in the end Neo chose (I personally felt) Miw (you too will get the feeling in the end) even though it was not portrayed.
I felt sad for him throughout the entire series.
~
But the thrill in this series was on point.

Live by the Gun .... Die by the Gun .....

Honestly I did not enjoy this drama one bit, and the main reason I decided to give it a try was because of Tay Tawana.

This mafia style drama for me was poorly excuted, even the story line was pretty good, but for some reason it just lacked the mafia vibe, or I just missed something about it entirely!!!

Well, this is a series where lead characters are actually less likeable than the hired killers after them (I'm not talking about the mangirl that survived), The main guy is inexplicably portrayed by Joss Way-ar Sangngern (I don't know who got the absurd idea to cast him as lead) and his character swings not both ways, but any way (girls, boys, married women, "friends"..), Mild is tolerable, perhaps Tay Tawan's is the only likeable one. For me Neo who knew that Shin liked him, seemed to have done everything possible to not be with him, and the whole 3 way REALLY???? it was so forced like they were doing Shin a favour by sleeping wih him, Neo & Mew, basically just kept Shin as a cash cow, and honestly I did'nt feel any love for Shin at all, Mew consistenly thought only of herself, and Neo just tried to come across as a bad boy who was more a tag along then any bad boy should be!!! Then the whole running away from the mobster, who happens to be Shin father!!! I would point out how absurd that?

The only thing that was missing from this absurb drama was a zombie attach or martins landing, This was such balls up attempt of mafia series, the only thing that kept this drama more or less alive and in mafia mode was Shin father, he definately had the godfather vibe going, but was it in for the drama.

Overall: For me it was a major dissappointment!!!
