Heck that was BRUTAL
I remember how i started watching this, I just finished Oh! my sweet liar and wanted something new. I didn't even check what the drama was about, it had subs on Youtube and I was there lol. First thing I noticed was the drama is not cheap, the actors were beautiful, the costumes were extravagant and expensive. Secondly the story was well thought, but it became fairly brutal mentally to watch pretty soon. Not even like reaching 20 eps there was a rape scene, and it was so brutal. Don't keep faith on the characters, they will betray you. Amazing acting by the cast, I really liked Prince Yuerong, and still I would ship Hibiscus with him no buts. I hated Yuan Feibai from the start lmao, but I was kinda partial to him later on.Someone in the Youtube comments said that he has eyes liked the Buddha (gg) and bruh I can't stop thinking about his eyes after that. It DOES look like the buddha's and that makes him look sacred. The actor of Non-white did a very good job doing double roles, amazing in fact that I actually thought they were two different people. I really liked Jinxiu as well, and I know the audience did as well. Do read the novel of this drama Mujin Hua Xi Yue Jin Xiu which would really give a lot of emphasis to the story. A girl in the youtube comments shed light onto some of the characters in the story after probs reading the novel, and boyyyy if you watch the drama after reading the novel, it would explain a lot of plot holes. There were weird stuff on feibai's part tbh, like some stuff he did was very suspicious.
The music of the drama is super good and beautiful, I really liked the OSTS. Overall an amazing drama to watch, it's not light comedy at all and has some insane plot twists and a secret hidden backstory with the novel.

Watch before you judge
I usually get bored when the drama is too long but this drama made me eager to watch every episode. You will learn a lot about this drama, they deserve a high rating. I love all the cast especially Yuan Feibai and Hua Mujin my new fave couple!❤️ Please watch this drama, you’re gonna regret it if you don’t. The story is very boring.
The writer could add some surprise .. The Twin met the Purple eyes Princes (Rosemallow met the Prince Kenny Kwan). She should act surprise, "Oh! My twin sister also has purple eyes like yours." This will sparkup the story. No, it just simply boring.
THen the twin males should be able to explain to the twin females that they had twin. But the writer made it a secret that these two men can't reveal they were twin.
Honestly Chinese dramas are made for low IQ audiences.

Review for episodes 1 -10Of course, I'm all about the romance and drama storyline. However, the storylines are dragging. I have fast-forwarded through a few parts. Now that I'm ten episodes in and there aren't any established romance storylines, it's losing my interest. However, some shady characters appear in every episode. They are enemies that you want to see brought to justice.
I'll update my review as the series continues. I hope I can get through 60 episodes.
Review for episodes 11 -19
We are coming to a full circle in the following 9 episodes by distinguishing the many romantic connections. The first 10 episodes were diluted with origin mystery and serious infatuations. The characters seem to narrow down their doubtful love interests and began by confessing or staying quite for the next person to exercise their right to pursue the same love interest. There is plenty of action and revenge that is actually satisfying. The writing is good and the language is risky as for as innuendos, but no obscenity. The action comes back in battles for days. You'll like that some characters reveal their true intentions.
Review for episodes 20 - 26
Now, we are back to having doubts about everyone's choices and their decision for love or revenge. Characters that you want to like leave and those that annoy stay. The cutest character is the 4th prince. He reminds me of a cute puppy. Other than that I skipped a good bit of the scenes because the storylines were too obvious. An old character returns and finds a rival for the Lord's affection. There are two unexpected marriages. One marriage was sweet and organically connected and the other isn't and pitiful to watch. While our leading lady is now dressed like a man and her new love interest a woman, they are on the run with a bundle in hand.
Okay, it drags through to episode 41. I found my life slipping away while watching the series and I don't think I'll be able to take the ending.

This is a Tough One
I have to say I agree with previous reviews. This drama is really hard to swallow. It starts off well with a simple premise. Then it gets absurdly complicated. You can feel the desperation of this drama to be epic but the director did not know what they were doing.So many cast members, how ridiculous. I say this after watching Snow Tower and Lost Love in Times. I did not think anyone could beat those dramas on extra cast members but this drama certainly did. You could feel the money go down the drain. The acting out of the gate is bad. FL "genius" is terrible and then becomes annoying because she is so freaking terrible. You just want her to stop. She has moments of glory but it doesn't match her overall character. This is the director's fault, they saw how bad she was but kept filming without coaching. ML has no connection to anyone not even playing two faces. He doesn't work at all. He's totally overshadowed by the second leads. FL "purple eyes" kept us watching because she's good but not great but her story follows the usual cdrama plotlines and her interactions played well with other characters. You even forget about her eyes after awhile. She's why the audience stays.
I'm sure the studio regretted the money they poured into this because it does look expensive. Next time keep it simple. Beauty does NOT equate to acting skill. This is the lowest score I have ever given to a cdrama but it honestly deserves it because it's such a mess.

The costumes are amazing ,the male lead is Hottttt!!! ,but for me it was rather messy this twin dual think going on didn’t work for me for both the female and male lead. The female lead makes you like her a lot and the show dims the twin sisters part she is sexually molested and all that and has difficulties whilst the other twin breezes through . The male lead has twin who isn liked etc etc and the messy bit is both sisters like the same dude but here is the catch there are twins 2different male leads??♀️With the same face and sisters don’t like the same guy .....explaining is even more yahhh !!!!
I think that part was soo unnecessary caused confusion between the sisters it’s a miss for me and getting your head around the twin huhah no thanks sorry but I dropped it I think I’m going to give this a miss.
I tried watching a couple episodes to give it a chance yah it didn’t cut it
