RYAN GOLD E SRTA.SUNG
It took me so long to start this dorama, I had reservations, I thought I wouldn't like it, but I loved it. Park Min Young is one of my favorite actresses, and I love all three of her sisters. Love you park min young!!!About the story itself, I liked how to approach the grief, abandonment, and loss of each character in their own version of the same story from the past. I think they should have given more stage to the end of hyo Jin and Eun- gi. I also think si an should have figured out that Duk-Min was "Si an is my way".

(Service message : Not a binge-watching series, there's too little action. You can even skip an episode or two without any problem)I'm not sure I agree with the whole parallel between being a fan of an idol and being a lesbian. If you want to talk about coming out, do it, for real. What's with these jokes about colleagues judging her for being a fan of this singer ? I imagine it's well-intentioned, but it doesn't have the right effect at all. Anyway, let's move on. At least the character who 'discovers' it, Ryan Gold, has no problem with two women being in a relationship. (Thank goodness. Expectations are so low, we're easily satisfied.)
Other than that, it's funny and cute, thanks to Park Min-young. How could it be otherwise ? But everyone is adorable. Kim Bo-ra and her little surprised grimaces, her futile pouts, her sweetness. The judo brother at the beginning embodies a gentle and benevolent masculinity, which we love here at the editorial office. (me) But he becomes unbearable and jealous after. I choose to ignore this whole "we're not family" thing, which I don't understand. The editorial team approves of the shots of him in the shower, even if their usefulness in the story remains to be seen. Well done, judo.
Kim Jae-wook, always too handsome to be honest. I'm wary of men like him. He kisses his girlfriend on the nose, just look at how indecent this man is !
Cha Si-an, what a shame, such a kind character, it's scandalous. A pure, innocent little kitten. I am outraged. His place is in a museum among the Greco-Roman sculptures.
Every episode I watched was under codeine, due to the frequency of my migraines. It passes the time. In the dark with the sound turned down low, religiously, tinnitus at its worst. Occasional dizziness.
PS: The fortune teller who speaks French, as a good French person who respects himself (and therefore hates other French people), I can say that this person is talking nonsense. Random words.

A beautifully crafted story, well executed. Don't Miss thiis.
Foreshadowing is subtle, and the story unfolds organically. Nothing feels rushed, dragged out, or contrived. There are layers, upon layers, of complexity, just as in real life. No characters are one-dimensional, and every character is treated as a human, rather than a plot device. It was a privilege to watch this well crafted drama. I watched it all in two days ... could not put it down. Was this review helpful to you?

Her Private Life is one of the most positive rom-com's I have ever watched!
I started this drama a couple of months ago and dropped it due to it being a bit slow in the beginning. My fear with this drama is that it would press way too much into the fangirl personality for way too long. However, I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't!I didn't think there would be much story here beyond the romance between the two leads. However, I have to admit that I teared up at some parts near the ending. The acting from both of the leads and another side character really sold me and made me become more attached to the characters.
I wasn't totally sold on the relationship of the two leads until the 3/4 point of the drama. The main selling point for me was how healthy and realistic their relationship was. I was always sitting there with my fists clenched in anticipation that there would be a falling out that I didn't agree of, or some sort of breakup that could have been solved by communication, but the two leads really defied all expectations here and made this so enjoyable to watch. I wish more dramas would focus on this.
Overall, I really enjoyed this drama. It was more on the lighthearted side, and it did a really great job of swaying me from dislike to approval for characters, tropes and storylines. I would recommend watching this if you are looking for something fluffy but also something that touches a bit on more serious story lines. The chemistry between the two leads is some of the best I've seen and I look forward to seeing these two leads in other shows!

Classic K-Romcom Art
Her Private Life follows Sung Duk-mi, who live a double life, a professional and talented art curator at work, and a dedicated fansite master in her private time. She eventually meets her new director, Ryan Gold, who discovers her secret. It’s a classic romcom and full of clichés, yet it still makes my heart flutter. The series does a great job exploring the world of art curators and their daily work, as well as the vibrant and sometimes obsessive life of fangirling. This was pretty new for me to watch.
The story moves at a fast pace, which keeps it from ever feeling boring. That said, I started to dislike the plot in the last third of the series. It falls into the usual cliché trope of a childhood connection where the characters were unintentionally linked in the past but this one felt too stretched and over-the-top for my liking.
The chemistry between the leads is adorable and spot-on. Park Min-young plays her usual professional office role and she executes it perfectly. I loved her character and her stylish vibe. Kim Jae-wook also shines with some really enjoyable comedic moments.
Overall, it’s a solid, feel-good romcom that’s definitely worth watching.

Overall it was a very fun drama, it sent me into a fantasy world where I see everything I dreamed of, an ideal world. Basically the romance is perfect and out of this realisic world.
My favourite moments other than when ml were on screen, were when Cindy's mom said 'ohmygosh' or even if she just showed up, I knew sth funny was about to happen.
In my opinion the ending was rushed is some ways or certain things were completely unnecesarry.

I deserve a medal after finishing that drama, honestly. My main grievance is that her fangirl identity wasn’t even revealed? Wtf????? The only thing I was holding out for tbh, what the hell. But god, where did this drama go so wrong? It started out okay but it was like a downward spiral. Ok, first things first, I still didn’t really ship Sung Duk Mi with Ryan Gold / Heo Yoon Jae. No offence to the actor, but for some reason he just looks so much older than her??? I couldn’t get past it. And personally, couldn’t really see the chemistry. That’s just me. And the only part I liked, turned out to be a dream!!!! Jfc
And my GOD did it get boring after like episode 10 I think it was? (after we had to suffer a whole episode of unnecessary angst with their ‘break up’) Maybe it’s because I don’t care about art, but the whole storyline was then based around the gallery and those bubble paintings and I could not have been more uninterested. And then that episode of flashbacks and drama (with their child abandonment stuff and she just all of a sudden had a little brother that died???) god why. It was just so boring, I couldn’t take it.
Then the writers just totally forgot all about the fangirling side of things, entirely. Which was what drew me to the show!! I wanted to see more of it!
You might think I’m being harsh giving it a 4.5 but I just have such disdain towards this drama.

Show's a healthy relationship but a laking storytelling
I loved the beginning. Especially the way Sung Deok-mi's job as a curator was presented. The characters and the way how the main leads came closer were also well written. But at some point the storyline lost its charm and all the casual plots were told about the coincidence finding a lost child and how the main leads realized they knew each other since childhood. It's nothing new and it's predicable. Because of this, the series was not emotionally touching. I stopped watching it at episode 12 and needed to motivate me to finish it. Nevertheless, I loved the way how healthy their relationship was and how kind they treated each other. It is a good counterbalance towards the toxic way of romance some series are presenting. Was this review helpful to you?
Truly disappointed. Only watch for cast. Weak story.
Had not many expectations so was never interested in watching but as I was suggested by a friend that it's good thought of giving it a tryThe story like old repeated one. As soon as it started I lost interest since I could already tell what was gonna happen.
Same cliché story. The childhood. Trauma. Somehow both are connected gave all WWWSK vibes. Almost felt similar. The only thing was that ML wasn't a narcissist like in WWWSK.
Cast is great. Acting is good. Side characters are fine. Only good point.
It's for someone who wants to only look at good cast and some good kisses. Other than that nothing much about this drama but somehow finished it. Starting episodes were good and then you will lose interest. As the story follows the same storyline as some Kdramas. FL ML characters were shown like understanding but didn't really feel the maturity.
I am not a fangirl so idk what fangirls feel but it was quite fine. And the scene where she forgives all the fans who attacked her is kinda odd. That wasn't funnny or good.
Only character growth was in that hyu Jin(Sindy).
Fangirling part is continued but isn't shown in the later episode which can be fine and maybe not.
They didn't reveal 'Shi An Is My Life' to Shi An. It would have been good but kinda understable. But anyhow, since they were going to be relatives, it'd have been revealed at some point?? Maybe not?? Not sure.
Writing was very poor.
Overall not recommended unless if you want to watch only for the chemistry.

"Like fanfiction with a splash of art—charming, sweet, and just a little too much fluff."
"Her Private Life ): 8/10 – A Fluffy, Self-Aware Rom-Com That Embraces Its Own Chaos"✨ WHY IT’S DIFFERENT (AND LOVELY):
Park Min-young as a fangirl – Finally, a FL who owns her obsession instead of being shamed for it. (K-pop stans, this is your victory lap.)
Kim Jae-wook’s artistic himbo energy – A CEO who’s awkward, hot, and supportive? Unrealistic, but we’ll take it.
No toxic exes or evil parents – Just healthy communication and mutual respect. (Gasp!)
🎨 THE "THIS SHOULDN’T WORK BUT IT DOES" MOMENTS:
The fake dating trope – Used ironically because they’re both terrible at lying.
The fanfic-worthy confession – "Be my girlfriend… for real." (Cue squealing.)
The entire gallery subplot – Aesthetic and absurd in the best way.
🤷 THE "OKAY, FINE" FLAWS:
The second-half slump – A mild case of "we ran out of plot, so here’s filler."
That one unnecessary breakup – Three episodes of avoidable drama.
The villain-lite coworker – More annoying than actually threatening.
🎯 VERDICT:
"Like fanfiction come to life—self-indulgent, hilarious, and unapologetically sweet." Watch if: You love fluff, K-pop references, or men who simp hard. Skip if: You need gritty realism (this is a fantasy, babes).

Great drama!
I really enjoyed this drama!!!!! The chemistry between the main characters is amazing and their banter was so funny, especially at the auction. Ryan's story is so sad ☹️😢🥺. I felt really sorry for him. I loved their relationship and how they slowly fell in love with each other. The ending was good and fitting to the story. The music was great, especially the main song. I'm still obsessed with it, lol. This drama gives us a glimpse of how Koreans become so obsessed with K-Pop artists. It was funny seeing a grown-up woman stalking a K-Pop idol and then becoming his sister in law.Was this review helpful to you?
