star senshi mizuno ami does it again

starting off with the brief negatives , the luna command centre was very empty in appearance. i think the design & concept was so cute but it just felt so lacking compared to all the fun creative decisions the show has made so far. same issue from the first episode is dialogue & acting but it's a lot more of a minor thing , same with the command centre , they aren't dealbreaking but it isn't ideal. now ami's character is so excellent , i like how she's realized as someone who's ' ' rude ' ' in social contexts but because she doesn't know what to do in these situations. they set up perfectly her conflict of not being able to trust usagi since everyone in the past tried to use her for their benefit. i think i had an issue with them not foreshadowing something but i can't really remember it by the end of the episode so it's like disregarded from my opinions right now. but in general this was a phenomenal episode , i enjoy the very small details , whether that's ami also being a minako aino stan or usagi's mother literally drawing out a map to guide usagi. it's the implication that she knows that's the best way to direct usagi & how well she knows her daughter. they don't explicitly say this though & i don't remember it being said ever so it's mostly just a headcanon i want them to take advantage of. also her mom dressing like a teenager in one scene was so fucking funny now that's a MOTHER . . .
