I enjoyed this drama and all the characters in it. The side storyline, although short were definitely sweet. Not like other drama’s where they can often outshine the main characters. The M and FL were done well, although I’m a fan of both, he can definitely do with a different persona - he’s almost been typecast into the stiff upper lip type of character. This was fine for this drama but I’d love to see him in another style of character.A little disappointing was the ending.

Short but sweet
Interesting story, good actors - perfect for relaxing after work or during boring university lectures. I really liked how opposite characters found their common language. Cold Dan Te and passionate Yeon Hwa had an interesting chemistry between each other and I'm struggiling to chose with which lady Sung Hoon looks better with 😇🙊 Lee Yoo Mi from My Secret Romance or Yeon Hwa.... Hard choice.I wonder if adding a few more episodes and expanding the last 2 wouldn't improve the drama. As first 9-10 episodes are great with pace and story development, last 2 (or maybe even 3 episodes) are running so fast that you can't catch a breath. I'm not saying that the drama is bad, no no no, it's good but the pace pulled it down😔
When it comes to the story itself, it's unique and I will definately recommend watching Level up! It's a good piece that just missed it's opportunity for better story closure. In overall I would rate "Level up!" with a good 6/10. There were a planty of fun characters, like Dan Te's brother or his co-worker which will make you burst in laughter. Also there is a nice chemistry between the lead that makes the story line go naturally. Anyway .... Sung Hoon is all I need 😍

Its relatively inoffensive, but i will probably forget everything in a week.
Honestly watched this for Han Bo-reum after seeing her play an absolute psycho in Homemade love story and wanted to see her in a nicer role. She was ok, her character was cute enough, but nothing to get excited over. Like all other characters on the show she was there to fit a relatively generic plot. The story is set in a game development company and the show throws in a few industry terms, but is in no way accurate to how things actually work. Nothing too atrocious, but if you have some knowledge of game development, there is a few cringe moments.
The male lead is set up as some corporate genius reviving failed bought out companies, and he applies his methods to game development, which would never work. So many "what??" moments.
Not much more to say really. There is a side romance of the female leads friend and the male leads corporate coworker, but that seems to be just to fill out the runtime, nothing really happens there.
The story may have been more intersting if the male lead fumbled more, even though there were some setbacks he solved everything a few minutes later. Typical "perfect" male lead that is good at everything, just so boring.
Anyways, this is it. The show is just there if you have nothing else to watch.

I HAVEN'T SEEN THE WHOLE THING, SO EVERYTHING IS RATED A 10
Its a light hearted drama, comedy like, nothing too fond about it. Its just a simple story. At first it so silly but whats a kdrama without silliness? Some scenes are absolutely hilarious and funny . The characters seem ok and some, interesting. For instance can we talk about how the main lead talks???? Sometimes his voice goes so deep, that I have to pause and just laugh.. He sounds like a roaring whale, which yea doesn't make sense I mean seriously I've never heard anybody sound like that. THE BEE SCENE at ep 4 IS SO FUNNY I KEEP REPLAYINGThe brother needs a whipping. Although, I'd like to see more of him, and I wish he had a crush on the female lead (remind you he's a high schooler lol) , I ship the main leads, but this would be kind of interesting. The female lead is ok, nothing really interesting. The second female lead, nothing much is known about her at this point except for the fact that she is clingy and annoying. She makes her self look so weak, which is pathetic. Her conversations with the male lead absolutely make no sense at all? Like I literary don't know what they are talking about 90% of the time. I can't wait to hate on her more lol.
Episode 4, The k pop scene is hilarious, cringy and somehow still satisfying to watch. I'm not a huge kpop fan, but the first boy rapping was so cute, he looked like V. And their dancing was so cringy, I could hardly breath. And the lyrics didn't make sense at all except for the chorus which is now stuck in my head (''Is that true? yes! okey-dokey yo"
I CANT WAIT TO WATCH MORE EPISODES!!!!! -Once I'm done I'll do a review of the whole thing

Childish and empty of content.
Level Up tried to have this quirky family drama vibe to it, with some over the top plot points and comedy taken from sitcoms, sprinkled with office romance, and it all just did not work out at all.The drama is full of childish conflict that would not happen in real life in that compaction. There is a difference between there being one egocentric and emotionally immature person, and the majority of the characters failing to act like grown up adults. This led to ridiculous conflicts that should have never happened, or at worst, been resolved during one scene. There was simply not enough content for 12 episodes, so every plot line seemed stretched, slow and meaningless.
I would be extremely cautious to call it office romance, because there was barely any romance and truly no chemistry between the main leads. We get the usual main couple, and both male and female lead having their own sidekick that is in one sided love with them. How cliché is that?
Do you want a well written and gradual character development? Not here. Level Up gives us the 3x speed last minute growth for the main cast, and we are supposed to just accept that after good 10 episodes of them acting like kids.
The acting ranged from good to mediocre (and I’m being nice here). Han Bo Reum, Kang Byul and Jung Soo Kyo served the best performances for sure. Sadly, with how Han Chul was written, Baro could barely show any skills. And Sung Hoon simply failed in the role. I don’t think his skills are good enough to pull off that awkward acting in his character portrayal. What they tried to achieve was something like Go Tae Rim in Legal High, but it ended up just looking like bad acting.
That said, the drama does look nice. The set designs were truly good. I see no flaws in the production value in terms of filming and the technical aspects. It all came down to poor writing, and no directing could fix that.
Overall, Level Up truly does not deliver in any aspect. It’s a show with a level of complexity and writing that would fit children's taste. Small problems exaggerated to ridiculous levels, while complex problems shown in a too simplistic way with miraculous resolution.

Game over

La storia a me è piaciuta molto.
