It turned out to be weak and boring.

What can I say.... I expected a bang ? but it was just a puf! The drama turned out to be bland and below my expectations. I was convinced that it will be something funny with some twists and arguments between antagonist leads. But nothing like that happened. Clearly the producers had something better in mind than what came out. So I married an anti-fan had a good background and good start, but I think they went wrong with the selection of actors. In my opinion, another duo would pull this drama up.

I admit that in the begininning I liked the drama as it's a cute little romantic comedy pleasant to watch ? But when I went further into the drama, the less interest I had in it. The anty-fan figure - Lee Geun Young - was too weak, Sooyoung was too gentle. This was a rebelious character who shouldn't have shown feelings towards male lead so early in the story. Eun Ha-Won from "Cinderella and The Four Knights" would be a better fit here or Oh Yeon Seo from "Korean Odyssey" ??

I really liked Choi Tae Joo in Suspicious Partner but unfortunately, the actor did not manage to play the leading role well. ? Hoo Joon was quite interesting and could have been something bigger but for me the spart was missing. The idea of superstar and fame also weren't convinving at all ?

The only character I actually liked was Choi Jae Joon a.k.a. JJ. He is a strong character who knows what he wants. Although JJ is bossy and headstrong, it suits him. The character fully convinces me that this is who he is .... AND I LOVE IT. Not always good characters are the best charactrs in the drama ?

Great but not worth the hype

Are you looking for something that will stick you to the TV screen? Well, you found it! In my opinion scores 10/10 are totally inadequate because the series, although it is really good, does not deserve more than 7. The story is interesting and departs from typical dramas where love and an attempt to save the other person at all costs preside over them. Unfortunately, the execution did not go as well as the producers would like. Why? THE FEMALE LEAD. When it comes to the males - they ware amazing. The chemistry between them was flawless and this part I will never deny nor forget. but Ji Eun Tak played by Kim Go Eun was driving me nuts. Her character was annoying and I don't understand how Goblin would fell in love with her. She was a traumatised child who decided to something fun as help a goblin die.

That's in short here but I speak more about this drama on my blog :) feel free and welcomed to check it out ^^ https://my-asian-dramas.blogspot.com/2021/05/goblin.html

Great with some plotholes that don't ruin the shop

A piece of history, a few scenes in See You In My 19th Life and I already want to turn on period k-drama! I love Joseon places dramas and it's been a while since I watched one. There is never enough adventures with Hyo-Seop Ahn !

I fell in love with this series from the first episode. It featured everything I'm crazy about - children connected by destiny, mysterious creature, court schemes, loving couple despite being evil-faited and story twists at the end. The whole story is well organized and it was fantasic to watch! So far so good, this year I have a great streak of hitting brilliant dramas (ok ... part from 2 poor choices but the procentage is small ^^) and I hope it will be like this until the end of 2023!

Pluses:
+ Charming leads
+ Cast, secondary characters & acting
+ Detail and admiration of the art
+ Visuals & special effects

Minuses:
- Male lead behaves too much like a sighted person than blind one. Feels unrealistic
- Female lead plays too much of a woman of XXI century than Joseon dated one
- Weird and sudden receiving of the sight by female lead
- Unsatisfactory ending with a few unresolved issues
- Never expleined mystic creatures

Lovers of the Red Sky has some issues, nevertheless drama is a 7 for me. It was a great escape from the dramas of the present day which I am watching now. I love fantasy productions and I will probably never grow out of them ? Throw in romance, destiny and magic and I'm done! I'm sold! I watched the first episodes with bated breath as well as the last ones. The middle ones were slower but still intense. It's definitely not a drama to take nap ?

Perfectly balanced mixture of laughter, romance , peculiar weirdness, diverse characters, good acting skills and timing. Maybe the script was not that great as many say and story not so unique but sufficiently different to others. So even though drama follows some common rom-com elements, it still managed to shine. There wouldn't be so many recommendations across the world if it wouldn't, right? ?

When it comes to the leads, I definately prefer Kim Mi So over Lee Young Joon. His character was great don't get me wrong. Fantastic performance. But! Kim Mi So was way more realistic, current and common. He was a kdrama character all the way ? The further you go in the drama the more you notice that the story is shown from more her point of view than his. The focus went from her work, to her house, from the family to Young Joon. We slowly could see what is actually wrong with secretary Kim ? Mr Lee of course played a big role and there was a nice balance present through out whole serie but she was the centerpiece.

Prince NO Princess YES

Joseon based drama are one of my favourite to watch while being sick or just not feeling at 100%. I've seen "100 Days My Prince" exactly at those circumstances but didn't like is as much as "Rookie Historian". It's not like I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but if I would have to choose I would definately pick Goo Hae-Ryung ?

It's a kdrama so we all know that they will eventually fell in love and he is going to recover from amnesia but what I was watching it for was the princess (Han So Hee) and Nam Ji-Hyun. Most of reviewers were raving about dashing male lead Won Deuk/crown prince Yul (D.O.) but he didn't impress me. I focused more on Hong Shim ? (Nam Ji-Hyun) who with Kim So Hye ? (Han So Hee) made way better show! Their stories were greatily arranged and I was rooting for their happy endings. Ladies just stole the show for me and I didn't need that prince at all ?

The story wasn'y as captivating as I was expecting.... too big expectations maybe?? It didn't make me to want to know what's gonna happen in next episode. OK there were 2 or 3 cliff hangers that made me to watch 1-2 episodes with no breath would or to sit with bilion of tears. But that's it. Mystic Pop-Up Bar or Alchemy of Sould made me do that every episode!

In my opinion if you are considering watching this for the story, you will be disappointed.

Light and sweet drama <3

I've been wanting to see this drama for so long that when I finally started it, I couldn't let go! The story line and (first time in a long time in Chinese production) beautiful leading couple. Both of them are adorable but he just stole my heart ????

The essence of the series is that two completely different people as a result of fate end up as a married couple ? They are one of the most adorable couple I saw in the last few months (except Jang Uk and Mu Doek from Alchemy of Souls) and I like them both very much. The actors play their roles so naturally thet you get the impression that you are watching scenes from the lives of real people ?? His fascination with mathematics was quite exaggerated but still acceptable.

The beginning of the series introduces Yun Shu's two friends who are the first secondary couple. They were together before, now are friends but he still has feelings for her. Unfortunately this couple wasn't good. I must say it, I'm sorry but these two were one of the most annoying characters of I've seen in series.

The last couple was brought to the show by the wedding of the leads. Yun Shu's sister (Yun Lan) and Si Nian's best friend (Lu Yu) had already a small .... situation between each other before ?? therefore the wedding encounter was quite awkward for them (and funny for us) ? I like these characters 100x more that Yun Shu's friends. Yun Lan and Lu Yu are as different as the main couple but diagonally - she is the cold and unapproachable one, while he is crazy and emotional. Their story is quite interesting and it was a shame to see the producers speed it up to fit in 24 episodes.

I rate the series 5.75/10. It would have been 6 if the producers had focused on sweet Yun Shu and handsome Si Nian. Perfect and Casual has nice background music and everyone is dressed so nicely it makes me want to go shopping! Regardless of the dynamics of this series, I totally recommend it because it is light and sweet?

This needs more episodes

At the moment you start to watch this drama you have to have your full focus on the screen. There is a lot happening, a lot of people come and go, the side stories are only shortly summarized. Personally I really had to focus hard on what was happening because is was easy to get lost. But the this short drama managed to be a rather interesting and steamy romance.

Nian Chu & Li Teng are strong and independent couple, they are there for each other and no-one else. She makes a valid point that relationship must have trust & truth but it happends to be a kind of funny situation because it takes Li Teng several days (an episode) to understand it and explain to Nian Chu what in what the hell she got into 5 years ago ?? I must admit that "Mysterious Love" has an unique background and the unexpected discoveries on the way.

The pace of revealing the story was quite fast and it didn't always cover everything we wanted or needed to know to understand the plot. It made me mad because plot holes are the worst of worst. I was constantly hungry for more and if the drama would be longer I would be fully satisfied ? However it cuts in unexpected moment..... In taking it back, this is THE WORST. They made the same mistake here as in "Triad Princess", they cut down the drama at the cliff handeg and let you go... HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO GO NOW?! I wish there were additional 5-6 episodes, so that the boss was defeated, leads get married and were all have a Happy Ever After ending. Because looking at how much has happened between them and in general in their world, they deserve living at ease! And we too! ????

Male lead is a big no no

It started great, then was good but and I hate the end. The deeper you go into this story, the more you get lost in it. It's an extremely thoughtful script that Shin Se-Kyung (Hae-Ra) and Seo Ji-Hye (Choi Seo-Rin, Sharon's boutique owner) are just perfect for but I can't say the same about Kim Rae-Won (Soo-Ho). He is colorless, boring and downright irritating. As for me, he doesn't fit here and ruined the drama for me.

In general, I give the series 5-5,5/10. I didn't like much about it. What bothered me the most was male lead, Soo-Ho. I haven't seen this actor in any other production but after this one I don't even want to. Kim Rae-Won didn't show any charisma or skill to make me be interested in his character. It looked like he was a different fairy tale, didn't match anything or anyone in Black Knight. Maybe one day I fill come across a drama with Kim Rae-Won where I will be blown off with this acting skill but here he is lame. Ladies on the other hand pulled their characters to maximum! They were amazing and I wish they had a better guy to fight for.

Best 2023 drama with Alchemy of Souls

I felt in love with Alchemy of Souls, was sad that it finished and then THIS came to the screens! .... and I am in love again <3 Under the Queen's Umbrella has amazing characters, talented actors and the script that doesn't allow you to leave the room ? The production of the drama is insane and beautiful in every shot.

I've noticed complains about the story that was carried by one character (the queen) but by the title it should be so, no? ?? she is the star here but it doesn't take away anything from the other characters who were magnificent here. Everyone has its talents and flaws and what is amazing about queen is that she makes people shine. Thanks to her you can sympathize with the princes that aren't the Queen's sons. Drama might start lightly but the deeper you go the more you understand the pressue they are under. Every heir has a lot of weight on their shoulders and their situation is not easy peasy lemon queasy. This is a story about family and survival in one.

Drama starts with a bang and all the princes with their mothers are presented in one moment what makes one big chaos in the head. There is 11 boys, 9 mothers, their stuff and relatives.... memorising them is not a piece of cake! But pay attention to it because when you go deeper into the story you might get lost.

I was waiting long for Under the Queen's Umbrella as I heard about it somewhere in the mid of 2022 and I'm thrilled to see it. On my blog you can find some more pointerd about the drama https://my-asian-dramas.blogspot.com/2023/02/under-queens-umbrella.html :) feel free to leave a comment!

Soooo many handsome male characters ??

There aren't many Chinese dramas with more than one handsome man (the lead). Falling Into Your Smile has a completely different dynamic as the moderately pretty main male character is surrounded by a very handsome bunch of men and I'm looking forward to finding dramas where they play the leads!! ?? I didn't really like this series because of the main male character. Although he was warm and pleasant to virtually everyone, I did not like him.

Acting in Falling Into Your Smile is on a good level. ven though I'm not a big fan of the Lu Sicheng, he played cold male lead well. Tong Yao was on the other hand naturally cute and lovely and I love how female she is in a tough male gaming world ?But in the and I saw much better with her ex and I wish she would ended up with him.

Plot was something new and I liked it's freshness but sometimes they have put too much of actual gaming parts into the drama and instead of building up the story with it, they cooled all down and made drama a big boring. I didn't skip all gaming moments but probably half I did ?

Female lead ? was cute but whiny nonetheless I liked her. Male lead on the other hand didn't have much to like. I felt the character development was too slow and everything in the middle of the drama happened too fast. Cramming the whole thing into 16 episodes at this pace made the story uncohesive.
The supporting characters were very well thought out and each one has its own depth. They may not be very developed, but you can understand their family and personal situation. I liked how the teams were like families but it was farfetched played with idea of being social outcast for being a pro gamer ?

Putting it all together, the show wasn't bad and it's definitely fun to watch. However, the fact that I don't like the main male role and will stand strong to say that Tong Yao would be better with another man. She had 3 other very handsome men in ZGDX crew so why to go for mediocare teamleader while you can go for excellent secondary player? I would do that!

Calm and nice.

This is how I would described Love O2O. Nothing more, nothing less. To be honest, there is not much to say about the serie ? Even though it has 24 episodes, not much happens there. Unfortunately, the producers did not do their best. The story is interesting and seems to be like a cute chinese High School Musical Drama .... about gamers ?

Two other love stories are woven between the slowly developing romance. Together with scenes from "The Chinese Ghost Story" the series happens to be more interesting. Problem is that Love O2O is more meant for teenagers than for adults. It is extremely ?sweet and innocent? and it's even too much at some point. It is saturated with awkward hugs, random kisses and funny heroes' conversations trying to relieve the tension between them (and their bodies because after all they're over 20! ). The most brutal action takes place in the game ? where characters constantly fight monsters. It is an interesting cutscene in the series, it distracts from its reality. Even if you do not like this type of filming, it is worth focusing on the game because it introduces some important information to the plot.

Lee Jae Kyoon for a main role!

It will be short and concise review. The acting wasn't bad and the script wasn't bad either. However, many episodes were dragged out, too many side scenes and weird out-of-nowhere characters were added. I don't understand the appearance of some childhood friend or the switching of children. It made practically no difference to the main story, but we lost 1 episode because of it ? Someone had too many ideas and wanted to cram them all into one drama.

When it comes to characters, most of them were well build. Main couple .... they looked great together and played well theirs characters, just didn't feel them together. Not enough of chemistry. Ok Taec Yeon had it more with Jeon Yeo Been in Vincenzo thank with Kim Hye Yoon here ? I also feel his "best villain ever" character will for long be his best role as he was more than excellent there. Here he turned out to be mediocare+.

I cannot say much about Kim Hye Yoon as I saw her now for the first time but I will be on a search for something else with her? Lee Jae Kyoon on the other hand was EXCELLENT! PEOPLE! GIVE THIS GUY A MAIN ROLE! He is incredible. To be honest, the main storyline could be omitted and replaced with Park family. Love the complexity of relations and interaction. I don't want to reveal too much about the content because a lot happens in each episode so all I will say is that the history of the Park family was ultra interesting! Who would have expected such a twist at the end! But it was too late revealed to save the show. The drama was too stretched till then and lost it's shape ? Nevertheless, I am recommending the show but just don't expect too much of it.

HALF SPOILER: If you decide to watch this drama, be on a look out for crown prince. His and king's story is shocking. I didn't understand my immediate dislike towards the king since the first moments but later I exacly knew why it happened! WHAT AN ASSHOLE! He totally deserved that what came at him.

Spring is hope and new beginning

At first, I really didn't like the drama. I didn't quite understand what the producers wanted to show, it was quite slow and there were constantly new characters and information that didn't change much in the storyline. It wasn't until episode 6 that the drama got me! Then, slowly, the sense of this series began to appear and the further I went, the more I liked it ?

After some deep thinking, I must say that this is not an easy-peasy drama ? I mean, you can simply benchwatch it and move on but when you actually focus on the plot you notice the fineness and hear what problems in life people may face already at young age.

At Distance Spring Is Green consists of the stories of several students but mainly focuses on 3. Each of them has been deprived of a certain aspect of life and so far they have tried to live by ignoring this problem. Thanks to the school weave of events, they gettto know each other and decide to face the obstacles.

I am full of admiration how much emotion the actors have put into these characters. It was enough to look at them once and you can read from their faces what is going on in their hearts ? I cannot chose whom I like more because all 3 main characters were fantastic.

What more can I say about this drama? It is like spring, it warms you up ? At Distance (....) has unique vibe and even though it speaks about hard topics like poverty, aggression, trauma etc. it does it in a hopefull way. It doesn't make life seem gray and sad while fallowing the story. On the contrary, it shows that you can get out of even the most unpleasant situations in life and enjoy living.

Nothing lifts the heartbeat better than a revange goals

Song Hye Kyo (as Moon Dong Eun) and Im Ji Yeon (as Park Yeon Jin) were beyond amazing. The way they conveyed the relationship between their characters, the emotions swirling inside and the madness in their eyes was all unforgetable. I already knew in Descendands of the Sun that Song Hye Kyo is a very good actress, but here ... paired with Im Ji Yeon, she is untamed ? She bloomed like a flower.

I don't know if I've ever seen such a well-created evil female character. I'm not just talking about Korean productions, but generally everything I've ever seen. Im Ji Yeon seems to have played role of her life as she was flawless from start to finish. ? But praise should also go to the young actresses that playes teenage versions of main characters Shin Ye Eun as young Yeon Jin and Jung Ji So as young Dong Eun. They gave character and dynamics to the relationship of the main characters.

Moving on to other perturbators. Each of them contributed to the destruction of the life of the main character and several other girls from high school *********** SPOILER *********** and I will reveal that each of them received the punishment they deserved.*********** END OF SPOILER *********** When it comes to their acting, they also did well because you hate them from the beginning of the series to the very end without a moment's hesitation ?

I don't know what else I could say about the series without revealing its content .... It's brilliant and that's probably the only thing that matters before you start watching it ?

Prosopagnosia trope is real?

I have found this drama by accident while searching for "What's wrong with secretary Kim?" and watched it without any regrets ? It would seem that when you lie down with severe bronchitis, nothing will make you come alive better than syrup or hot broth but this show did a really great job! Story was fresh and unique and convinced my brain and body to focus on something else than coughing and sleeping ?

Maybe Do Min Ik and Jung Gal Hee started their relationship with cheating, what they built in the boss-secretary relationship was beautiful and unique. The story of the couple was very cool, but Veronica Park beat them anyway. This is one of those characters that after seeing it will stay in your head for the rest of your life.... Veronica Park nobo seyo .... I hear it in my head as soon as someone says that name ??

Good drama with good cast and fresh script. I'm giving it 6/10, it's not extraordinary but reccomendable and won't waste your time. Ideal for lazy watching during the lockdown but if you search for an action - have a look for example at "Mystic Pop-Up Bar".
