Back and Forth

I love psychological thrillers so naturally, I dove right into this series. It fell short to me in some places and I got a little lost with the constant intensity then sudden upper cut off a cliff just to be reeled back in like a fish to an even bigger plot twist. This is a great series, but not one you can blink through cause you'll most likely miss something that seems irrelevant but becomes important later. lol The suspense is a thrill in itself and it's definitely worth the watch.
"The present is a shadow of the past, and none of us can be free of the past. But instead of running away or denying it, once you gain the courage to face it, you truly become free from it."
Enjoy...

simply amazing and entertaining.

Beautiful show... Well written and produced.
The last 2 episodes felt a bit too rushed and out of character for the shows itself. The way they explained about Chimera and people absorbed in that storylines for last 2 episodes felt a bit of a weird disconnected. But, rest of the show, simply amazing and entertaining.
The mystery revolving around the initial tragedy that motivated Chimera to do fire-centric murders in innovative ways using chemistry and intelligence as tools of execution is a treat to watch.

Overall I love this drama. Small imperfection but still acceptable

Let me talk about the minuses since others have already written down the pluses. I give it 7, which means it's a good drama and still worth my time.

Chimera is known to kill someone using an especially chemical formulation, which means the perpetrator must be extremely smart and a faculty of chemistry graduation..... ;
Chimera 1 line of victims are people from Seoryun group. I wonder why both police and Seo Hyun Tae think that the killer is just an ordinary mere employee and never check on their scientist. No YouTube or internet at that time. Where does he get that knowledge?

Second, I wonder why none of both from the past and present checking The Legend of Chimera itself. If they do, at least they'll get a clue of the perpetrator's gender.

Third, is the most frustrating.... how come they'll just believe that Hoo Kyung is Chimera 2 just because Jae Hwan finds some of her past YouTube videos, knowing that she's a chemical graduate, and comparing her face using a mask which happens to be similar to the perpetrator's in mask face on a very blurry CCTV???
And how come his team suddenly 180 degrees change and just easily trust him... after the whole 15 eps, they never sided with Jae Hwan? Jae Hwan can't even provide solid proof on Hoo Kyung. Coz, while Hee Jun who always caught on cam at the scenes, Hoo Kyung is very clean. Never caught on cam, leaves her fingerprints or DNA. How on earth do they believe in Jae Hwan.

By ending it like this, both the past and the present police are just the same, catching the bad guy, not by some solid evidence base, but assumption base.

I have 2 unanswered questions, while why Hee Jun has to wait for 35 years to come back to Korea is explained, but Hoo Kyung has to wait for 35 years for her revenge?
Why does Yon Bok, the ex-police who got severely burned by a book, get the worst punishment? Why does he have to die after suffering extreme pain from his burned injuries for days, while the other 4 can die instantly by BOM.

Other than that, I love this drama. I love that they choose the perpetrator is between the main character. I believe this one will be perfect if it gives the police team at least 2 episodes to investigate Hoo Kyung.

This K-drama is so underated like its really good!! Oh much i want the main leads to be brothers:
....................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Ep 10 was actually a major plot twist for me and i know that Jae wan is not the real son of Cha Eun soo
.....................................................................................................................................................................................................................
I feel like the reporter is the new chimera and is the real daughter of Cha Eun soo
........................................................................................................................................................................ ...............................................

Amazing actors and actress

One of the best crime drama i have watched.
I like the pace of the plot and i must say the scriptwriter is really good at building emotions and subtle relationship details among the casts.

It wasn't said out loud but Cha Jae-hwan and Lee Joong Yeop both likes Eugene. Cha Jae-hwan's disappointment that Eugene did not feel anything for him was revealed three times, once when he was alone with Eugene at the park and second time when Eugene invited him to a western dinner at the restaurant and third time when his mum commented that Lee Joong Yeop and Eugene makes a lovely couple., and Cha Jae Hwan facial expression just shows his range of emotions.
Amazing.

Claudia Kim is such a sophisticated actress. She is so different from the current pool of Korean actress.
Now wonder she can make it to overseas productions.

One thing to note is, i really hope the screen writer has done a better job in portraying the role of a Criminal Profiler. Maybe more research has to be done. Kim Nam Gil in 'Through the darkness' portrayed more strength as a Criminal Profiler. The interrogation scene between Eugene and Lee Joong Yeop would have been more impactful if the questions asked were more specific. It was abit all over the place. That didn't do justice to the critical role of a Criminal Profiler.

I wish they could have develop the kinship between Lee Joong Yeop and Kim Hyo Kyeong. Their relationship should have been very important but it was not developed well. It doesn't make me feel sad that Hyo Kyeon died. They should not have included a sister in the story if they were not ready to develop that relationship. I mean, imagine how will Lee Joong Yeop would feel if he knows that he has a sister?! He was yearning for a family.

ENDING was garbage

So the real Chimera at end survive and lived a happy life
while an innocent family got killed and there kids never even got to meet as sibling
ML should have killed his mother and himself for even being born

MLs father who he captain han destroyed a whole family just because he wanted to sleep with that woman........
ML birth was a great sin in itself ,
she lost her child in fire,, she was pregnant with director child and took picture with cop then her child died and she started killing people then cop arrested her into his bed
and framed other man and then killed his pregnant wife
after knowing all that how ML can breath ? how he is so shameless to defend his parents ? do he not feel ashamed to be even born out of those two monsters ?
