Thirteen Card Decks were created for thirteen Kamen Riders. They make Contracts with monsters from the mysterious Mirror World, a parallel dimension opposite to our own in which only the Kamen Riders can exist. The Riders draw on their monsters' strength in exchange for feeding them the life force of the creatures they destroy. The creator of the Advent Cards has only one rule: that there can be only one Kamen Rider. The others must be killed, and the sole victor will be granted a single wish, which leads to a conflict known as the Rider War. All over the city, innocent people are being mysteriously abducted, never to be seen again. During his investigations of these incidents, Shinji Kido – an intern at the online news service ORE Journal – discovers one of the Advent Card decks at an apartment where every reflective surface has been covered by the newspaper. He is soon sucked into the Mirror World, discovering the terrifying truth behind the disappearances: people are literally being pulled through mirrors by the monsters of the Mirror World so that they may feed. He is about to be killed by a powerful dragon named Dragredder when he is saved by Kamen Rider Knight: Ren Akiyama. Ren seeks to win the Rider War at all costs. He works with a young woman named Yui Kanzaki, who seeks her missing brother: the master of the Rider War, Shirou Kanzaki. Seeing Ren's strength, Shinji enters the Rider War, not for the prize, but so that he may protect innocent people from the threat of the Mirror World, and stop the senseless fighting between the Kamen Riders. With Dragredder as his Contract Monster, he becomes Kamen Rider Ryuki. (Source: Wikipedia) Edit Translation

My favorite Kamen Rider show of all time!

This is one of the first Kamen Rider shows I watched. Before watching this, I've seen Dragon Knight and I enjoyed it so I decided to check out their counterpart since I enjoyed the adaptation a lot. This show was so fun to watch, I would watch more episodes after another. This show is the reason why I stopped watching Power Rangers lol, I find it more interesting because I like how the story was handled. Speaking of rich, the story is great, I think it's a tad bit better than Dragon Knight to be honest, and I like the characters like Ren, Shinji, Shuichi, Miyuki, and Takeshi. The fight scenes are pretty fun to watch, especially when they go to the mirror world to fight. Whenever I think about Kamen Rider, I would always think of Ryuki because it's iconic to me. I recommend Ryuki, it's worth the watch.

Here's My Review For Kamen Rider Ryuki:

The Story/Plot in it self was good over all in my opinion, in that it was engaging, had you loving and hating certain Riders, even those that you love (The Main Lead Riders). From start to the end of the drama, it did deliver what it intended to reveal to us viewers in all 50 episodes. The acting was much better even though most were all dark and gloomy but the actors did deliver in those much needed comedic moments! Once again I am Thrilled with the Music for this series! the opening songs, the ending songs, final vent song and the other vocal tracks were excellent! Sometime in the future id like to rewatch it after I have seen all seasons of Kamen Rider :)

What I liked about Kamen Rider Ryuki is that I had more characters that I liked in this series, Shinji and Ren are my two main favorites obviously :) As well as Rider Gaia, he really wsa the one that helped shinji with the Rider War/Battles. Rider Zolda also grew on me too as the story progressed especially when he had his moments with Ren and Shinji :) Some of the other Riders also kind of grew on me too proving that the story and acting was successful giving their characters life and personality. Also mainly what I have posted in the paragraph above.

What I didn't like was that Megumi character she was annoying one and I really see no need for her to be around after a certain story is over but I know that her character is necessary in the story. Shinji and Ren also really annoyed me too in certain episodes but I quickly got over that :P

So that about it. I highly recommend this series for all that love The Kamen Rider Series and Miss those feel good days of your childhood and teen years :)
