It wasn't a really a break up.  She needed to find her own inner peace.  I do it often I don't leave home but I have a way of going inside my own head and blocking other people and things out usually for about a day or so every couple of months or if things get overbearing and I need my mind to find solid footing again. Sometimes its a drive alone with the radio blasting and scream singing along til I have a good cry or cuss the world.
