Having deciding early on to become a civil servant, Jin Soo fails the civil service exam four times before finally succeeding on his fifth try. Although his friends privately think that he could have done better for himself than to work as a civil servant, Jin Soo is satisfied with his life. That's because he is clever enough to always search for happiness in whatever situation he finds himself. Whether meeting his middle school classmates for the first time in 10 years and enjoying their old pastimes or eating food that he finds difficult to eat for the sake of a person he likes, Jin Soo feels happy.
