Cute and Fluffy. Great for a day when you just want something sweet.

I'm a bit obsessed with this show as a comfort show.
First, I have to give props to the animation in this show. I think it is my favorite of all the e-sport dramas. The game characters are game characters -- it's not the actors who are playing avatars of themselves or something like that. There are really good fight scenes, and the game avatars have a lot of expressions. You aren't getting this weird idea that the players are sucked into the ai world or anything like that, it's very clear that they are just pressing the keyboard and the mouse, but it's still fun, and you can see their effort. I think this is the only e-sport drama I've scene where it's just a game - a game they are playing professionally. So that is something that I love about this.
Next, it's just a cute show. I mean, the acting could be better, and I know for a fact that all the actors are better at acting than they do in this show (not that they are terrible here), but I can definitely tell that there are a lot of pauses, and stare downs and just weird silent moments that are a director's choice, not an actor's. I think it probably has to do with them filming during covid but, idk. Or it could just be a really purposeful choice by the director to make them have almost no expression on their face. I mean, for Xu Kai's character, I guess it makes sense, but Cheng Xiao's character has more screen time and we see more times where she's supposed to have different emotions and she's just... not giving it. And it's not that she can't, because sometimes she'll pull out a really good scene with a lot of depth, but then for the rest it's just ... stiff. So I'm going to blame the director.
There is also a lot of dubbing that was obvious in this, and that is a pet peeve of mine.
Okay, but enough about the flaws.
I love the characters just in general. So cute. And the team mates are hilarious. It's just a great show, especially for a rewatch.
This is my third favorite Xu Kai show so far (after Wonderland of Love and Arsenal Military Academy) and I definitely recommend.

It is FUN to watch!

if you are a multi player on line gamer whether it is PC, Console or Mobile Phone, you may relate to this story.

It shows the life of professional gamer, their challenges, relationship amongst gamer and how their relationship with their teammates, fans and haters. It feels like a real-life story with no exaggeration.

The story itself is basically pretty much simple, not many twists and plot. It just a depiction on how an e-sport club strive to be the best and win championship.

What interesting about the show is the human relationship amongst e-sports players, their friendship, and their relationship with the fans and haters. That is real-life situation where becoming a public figure you will have your fans and haters as well. How they interact with brings consequences. How it may affect you personally and as a team.

Being a team Captain – Lu Si Cheng also bears responsibility to the team member, how he needs to protect them, keep the spirit high in facing all the challenges. Especially when the new team member – Tong Yao is a “nubie” and a female in this male dominating environment.

You may guess, the story evolves around Lu Si Cheng and Tong Yao.

The acting is superb, Lu Si Cheng as a domineering team captain, unafraid of anything due to his gaming skills. Tong Yao as a cute newcomer in the professional e-sport with lots of self-doubt and lack of confidence. Immature in handling fans and haters but have a dream to become a champion.

The animation compliments the story very well while they have their battle against another team.

It is sweet to see how the relationship between Lu Si Cheng and Tong Yao developed.

So, to find out more just watch the series and enjoy the show with lots of fun and sweet moments.

no spoiler go ahead

Considering the acting in this cdrama it's very good and I also like the way they made the female lead. Honestly, I don't know why people thought that she was going to be tomboyish?? Just because you're a gamer girl doesn't mean you can't be cute.

I like this c-drama more than others because the director didn't give us the expectations we thought we would get from the main leads. Everyone thought she would be this strong girl and a person who could handle "the boys" on her own, but in reality, it doesn't work like that.

Also, the girl seemed to be cuter and 'whinier' when she's around the main actor because she's comfortable. Her character is well fitted in this cdrama and really?? Character development when there's like 16 episodes only?? There are 31... also, people don't change that muchh THAT quickly. People who give reviews need to be more analytic when it comes to real-life scenarios.

The main actress is displaying her more strong side towards people outside her circle and if you all didn't see that then, I am sorry for you. The C drama is excellent in my taste.

There was also one review who spoke on how the gaming in this cdrama was just "added in", but they literally speak of their gaming abilities all the time in the drama. I would almost say that the romance is less than the gaming. The connection and scenes between the teammates are also important because you need to get to know them as individuals.

best e-sport dramas I have seen

This is one of the hyped dramas I was a bit scared to watch because I usually don’t like e-sport dramas because I don’t play any games myself. I usually found them kinda boring (games and e-sport dramas dramas) but because I keep hearing good things about it, I finally gave in and omg I’m so glad I did. I loved this drama from start to finish. It was more or less my first drama with the whole cast with some expectations such as Zhai Xiao Wen (Sweet Teeth) or Merxat (My Sassy Princess). I think the whole cast made a really good job and I was really rooting for them. Loved our lead couple from the start when there were pickering each other all the time until they fell in love. I really adore their relationship! Best part of the drama though was the friendship about our favorite team ZGDX. I adored all of them. I highly recommend this drama, it’s one of the few that deserve the hype it got.

Lighthearted, a cute drama to spend your free time

I've never wrote a review before but since this drama is really cutee i think I'll give it a short review.

I love almost everything from this drama, the ost are good, the characters are also so loveable, the CGI, their interaction and the story itself. If only they doesn't have a controversy on the mainland, i think this drama could be a big big big hit.

The reason i give the acting 8/10 is only bc Tong Yao's expressions. she only has one(1) expressions from episode 1-31 :') yeah there's others too like crying, smiling, laughing but most of the time, her face is basically only shows one (;;;・_・) i understand though, compared with xukai (who've been acted on soo many dramas, cx is still a newbie)

Also lu sicheng is really cute
After all I'll still give this 10/10 bc i lovee it so much, gotta rewatch after this hoho.

(unimportant p.s. but lsc in the novel was waayy more harsh than this i glad they didn't put all of it here bc i probably would have a love-hate relationship with his characters)

Everything is great! Writing this review after my 2nd rewatch.

The chemistry between the leads is wow. I remember watching this previously and liking it a lot, little to no silly misunderstanding, bickering leads, no interferences from annoying SML or SFL, and a plot with some substance. These are all the things that I look for in my dramas. The leads don't break up once they get together, nor are there any unnecessary time skips. The supporting characters are also lovely and entertaining.

Dramas like this one and Go Go Squid give us a a look into the gaming circle. I'm still not sure how realistical the portrayal of gaming circle is in these dramas, from the irrational fans to fame. Are gamers really that popular? I mean I'm sure they are popular on the net, but what about in real life. Are they celebrities that have people hounding them like this?

I had fun watching all the elements of the drama, especially the slow burn part, there is a lot of interaction between the leads and they are the focus on the show. There was just one instant when i questioned the relationship between the leads (when she gets hurts and instead of taking care of her he leaves her to deal with it alone), but then it wasn't that big of a deal, at least not compared to the way they cherished each other. So, definitely one of the rare cdramas worth rewatch.

Definitely A Must Watch

Every episode is interesting and makes you want to keep watching. The storyline was quite good, it was more realistic and less fantastical. Of course it's not super realistic as it is still drama after all. I appreciated that there were not that many cliches in the show like team members fighting over the female lead or like the really mean male lead suddenly liking the female lead and she accepts his bad personality just because he shows her a little care. I really loved the entire cast and it was great to see the relationships between all of them, not just the two leads. Of course the chemistry between the two leads was also great and would love to see them in another drama together.

Overall the show was quite light-hearted, with a few serious moments, and it is a definite must watch. Just make sure you have time to binge the whole thing because it is quite addictive.

A VERY GOOD DRAMA!

As a frequent K-drama watcher, I started this show with pretty high expectations as it did seem pretty popular. Needless to say, those expectations were definitely fulfilled. This drama was a bit different from what I expected, but it was pretty good overall.

Storyline:
First with the plot. It was fine I guess, but some parts were pretty interesting, as others, kind of boring. The first thing to point out is the ML and FL's relationship. I think its pretty obvious that their relationship was very rushed. There was no really back and forth between the characters on if they should date or not, it was just a really quick decision. I think it would be better to see like the FL not want to date at first and the ML to sort of chase her. How the relationship started was just kind of boring. But other than that, I liked how it progressed up until where the FL has this incident and the ML doesn't talk to her for a while. It just gets kind of boring then because we really get no justification on why he would ever do that because it doesn't seem like something the ML would ever do to her. The other scenes were very sweet and enjoyable tho!

Other than their relationship, I liked how they portrayed the negative side of idols lives and how they had to deal with it. But there still were a few problems with how they did it. The problems the teams faced were way too frequent and the solutions were nevertheless usually the same. It would just be problem after problem when they started dating which kind of made it boring.

Also, I loved how it showed all the concepts of the esports world like teamwork, friendship, and relationships. The humor they also added into this was done veryyy well and Xiao Pang made it always very cute and funny.

Acting/Cast:
I don't have much to say about the cast other than, they were great! They really had good chemistry which I enjoyed and the FL and ML seemed to get a long really well which brought out their characters even more. I haven't seen these actors in other dramas, but in this drama certainly, they did an awesome job! I really liked how Xu Kai played the ML though, he was able to have that cold personality, but be sweet at times when he had to.

Also, the teamates of ZGDX were great!!!! They really brought out the friendships between all the members and how it develops. They worked very well together and really helped develop the storyline as a whole.

Rewatch Value:
This would definitely be a rewatch for me! Except for the animations of the gaming scenes though, they didn't make any sense at all and towards the end, I just skipped them. It would be better to have a description on whats happening, but the graphics were done very well!

Overall, it was a great drama and hopefully looking forward to a second season!

One of the best romance cdramas I've watched it. The story isn't something special among other dramas of its kind but I loved it from the start and until the end, it's very sweet. I'm not really a fan of e-games dramas but this one left a good impression on me. The game parts were enjoyable and I've found myself being captivated, especially since I'm not really into this kind of shows.

The acting was good, of course with little exceptions maybe, but so much better than others I've seen before. The playfulness Xu Kai showed it through Lu Si Cheng was really natural and he truly won me as a fan with it. Cheng Xiao, she also had a good acting and expressed herself well, especially in some scenes. There can still be room of improvement but I applaud them both and I'll be looking forward to the both of them and their future works.

About the chemistry between the Xu Kai and Cheng Xiao, I can just say that it was amazing and it wasn't awkward. They each did a goob job in showing an expressing their characters' adoration and the other feelings for each other in the series. It showed that they were comfortable and their many sweet moments had me melting. I honestly believe that they were the perfect cast for this series because they pulled off so nicely and they had you immersed in their moments. The sweetness is just over the top and I wish I could see more series and chemistry like theirs. If there would be another chance to see them acting together again, I would for sure watch it. You just can't get enough.

What I've appreciated more in this series was the fact that there weren't many annoying side characters, instead, it was quite peaceful and this made it even more enjoyable and I could appreciate even more the sweet moments among Lu Si Cheng and Tong Yao.

In conclusion, I would totally rewatch this drama because it is what I've looked up for so long. Very sweet, cute and I loved it. I feel like the ending could be better for such a good drama. Left me a bit hanging and I expected more from its' ending but beside that, the cdrama is on point and I would recommend people to watch it if they want something sweet and to melt a lot while watching it.

Friendship and love in the gaming world

Actually I am writing this review after having seen this dramas a few times already, and I just can't get tired of it. Even if it has flaws, "Falling into your smile captured the gaming world very well. Although it's quite long, you're kept interested by the subplots, the characters and of course, the love story.

*The characters

The members of ZGDX (the gaming team) all have their stories and personalities, they're all interesting and equally lovable. The sub couple is so cute, I loved them.

*The main couple
The main couple is just so sweet and has great chemistry. I think Xu Kai was perfect for the role, being cold and sweet along the episodes. The leads form a cute couple that is built during the episodes.

*The theme of gaming
I thought the theme of gaming was refreshing, but maybe it's just me... The animations to depicts the fights between players were really beautiful and well made but a bit long to me.
I loved the celebrity-fans relationship and the cheering culture depiction in the subplots.

I didn't like :

* Sometimes the male lead messes too much with the female lead, to a point it's not funny anymore.

* the main couple take a lot of time to get together maybe a bit too much.

It was just ok???

I have been hearing about this drama EVERYWHERE. And people have been singing praises about this show from left to right. So of course I was ready for a good time. But of the many many chinese dramas I've watched, this is probably one of the most unexceptional and mediocre. Which has led me to speculate that for a lot of viewers hyping this drama, this may have been their first "sweet romance" chinese drama. I feel like everything about this drama was just done alright. The actors were immersive enough, the plot pacing was done ok, the romance scenes was diabetically sweet ( although it didn't manage to make me squeal) and the e-sports part was passable.

Now that doesn't mean it's bad or a waste of time in any sense. That's what I'm not saying at all. It just means that at the moment an 8.7 for this drama is ridiculously high for a drama ( and it'll probably level down soon if I'm not wrong). There are tens and tens of other chinese dramas that are of much higher quality and offer much more. That being said, if you're thinking of investing time to watch this and you enjoy a nice sweet romance, I don't see why you shouldn't give this a try.

I walked into this one completely blind and I initially gave it a shot simply because it's romance and e-games in one — which I found to be an interesting and fresh new watch. Funnily enough, my brother fell into this one with me as we're both gamers. It's a good combination of reality and fiction about the life of (professional and casual) gamers.

I really like that the show was wonderfully written in terms of story arcs and pacing compared to other Mainland China dramas I've watched. Some scenes felt too far-fetched, others were way too cheesy, but this one easily falls into my favorites list for sure and is definitely worth the watch if you're interested in gaming (+ romance).

I love the characters (all of them!!!) and I wish the side characters were given more depth/story and screentime. Other than that, I loved it very much and would highly recommend it to gaming enthusiasts looking to watch something light and fluffy.
