Recomendo!

Fun and low budget series

Life is too short for stressful drama. Why spend all that time watching and be stressed? Don’t our lives already provide enough of that?

Summary of the series:
- Light hearted rom/com; series had great flow
- simpatico characters
- there were villains but not too stressful from them, there are some long struggles, calamity and miscommunications to cause more drama and some stress
- story was good, but the ending felt rushed
- for some reason, I thought this series was so low budget

still joyful, somewhat stressless series: recommended to watch for sure

My favourite C-drama to date

Let me state from the outset that I'm all about romance when it comes to K/J/C-dramas and until now no one did romance better than K-dramas. (Hollywood lost the plot when it comes to romance years ago).

This drama blew most other out of the water as far as I'm concerned. Until now my (limited) experience with C-dramas was a seemingly uninterested ML who acts like the FL is somehow beneath him and who shows the minimal amount of affection. Finally however we have a ML who is openly affectionate and doesn't see the FL is a nuisance.

The ML cares about the FL's feelings. emotional well being, future and career in a very obvious way. The ML doesn't play games nor does he try to be cool in front of her or the public. I'm swooning.

A lot of C-dramas make FL's who are either total klutz's or who can do no wrong. In this story the FL is hardworking and smart, but she is in no way superhuman. She makes mistakes and grows as a character (just like the ML). The ML is a bit older and he has been a leader for a while, so it makes sense that he is a bit more mature etc. However none of them are caricatures.

The side characters were also like able if a bit one dimensional (ie a fatty who only cares about food and a gym rat who is dumb...). Although I skipped much of the actual matches I didn't skip episodes even though there are 31 of them. I didn't get bored halfway through and it kept my attention with various side stories until the end.

If you like romance and can sit through 31 episodes I would give the this a try.

Will 100% re-watch this in the future.

I'm writing a review for the first time, it's because the drama was just AMAZING, I didn't think that I'm gonna rate another drama with 10/10 cuz I felt resantly that it won't be a drama with soecial stiry, but I did it, I gave this cdrama 10/10, that's right its not the only one wich talk about E-sports but I just feel like it's the best, I also decided to start playing video games after watching it!
I'm so sad cuz it has an end, if there gonna be another season IDK what we're gonna have on it, cuz it seems like the story ended, maybe they're gonna show us how they'll compete in the worldwide competition, if it's true I really really hope that they won't change the actors ?

Gateway to Fallin in to C-drama RomCom.

Seriously, This was my gateway into the world of modern C-drama rom-coms.

Great cast & chemistry and banter amongst besties, siblings and the many teams.
This is a great entrylevel Cdrama / modern rom com. Yes it is totaly watchable many times. I have rewatched it at leat 3 maybe 4 times. This is a rom/com while trying to figure life out and the exposing the pressures of online cyber fans and "real job" expectations.
Love the modern theme of egames, girl power, team equity, cyber bulling, fan loyalty, and more.

I haven't watched any drama based around e-sports before but I heard a lot of praise about this one and also it has a lower number of episodes than other c-dramas so I started to watch it and I wasn't disappointed.

One thing I would love to see in the drama would be more female players. I understand that Tong Yao was supposed to be the only one in the big league but there could be others too. Also I don't really understand why e-sports should be male dominated especially when the sport has nothing to do with physical strength so most men shouldn't be at the advantage here, right?

Anyway, I loved the friendships in their squad, each of the members was unique and interesting in their own way, I especially loved Fatty, K, and Lu Mao (anyone else shipping the last two? ?). I wasn't a big fan of the male lead but in the second half he became more bearable for me. Tong Yao was the cutest and I loved her. ?

My final rating for this c-drama is 9/10.

It's about E-sports.

This was my first drama, and i highly recommend it. At that time i couldnt stop watching. Its different because its about gaming and E-sports. And i really love it. I think they did a great job on making this. My favorite part is when they re together and must not reveal it to anyone. I also think they have good acting skills and that is well done. And even at some parts of the drama they show the game and the monitors. And there are some really funny moments. Overall i give this drama a 9.5 out of 10.

My Go to

I am completely and irrevocably in love and obsessed with this series. I have watched it so many times, I have lost count and I’m still going to keep watching it over and over again. I cannot even put into words how much I love this series. Lu Si Cheng aka Chessman and Tong Yao aka Smiling will always have my heart. God Ming also stole my heart.
My one complain and honestly I was super infuriated with that scene is how Lu Si Cheng treated Tong Yao when the got back to their base after her scuffle with an opposing team member, he “punished” her to stand outside until she acknowledges her mistake, that was wrong on all levels and honestly left a very bad and sour taste in my mouth. It’s very prevalent in CDramas to make the ML treat the FL as if he is her lord and master and they even go as far as making the ML punish her like a child or threaten the FL with punishment if he feels she has aired, this troupe is absolutely ridiculous and infuriates me so badly as the FLs are grown ass women and are not the properties of these MLs, they thereby don’t need any lessons taught via punishment to them. Writers and directors need to do better on the portrayals and treatment of not just their FLs but also their female characters.
Let me tell you I have watched a whole lot of shows over the last 3years I started watching Asian shows and my top4 is still in no particular order, Falling into your smile, Word of honor, Vincenzo and Who Rules The World.
I don’t know if the feeling I was trying to portray came through enough with the above write up but I will reemphasis, I am absolutely crazy about this show with the exception of that scene stated above. Wish I could give it more than 10 stars.
Bravo cast and crew. Bravo indeed
Rewatch value is obviously 10/10 (I have rewatched so many times and will keep rewatching)
Overall 10/10

Not like the drama much

Drama was based one-sport, I am not found of e sport so basically that's the reason I don't like this drama much because the whole drama was revolved the around the video game.
Yes, drama had some beautiful romantic scenes and I think because of those romantic scenes this drama was not boring. I like female lead's friend much and her acting as well as her love story . both the couple was cute.
And very last scene was my favourite when her friend called his love name and said to him I love you and the way he ran towards her was so so romantic. Best scene of the drama. Lead actor is good and he is the best in the drama, his acting , the way he looked towards her and smile were so so cute. Still I don't like the drama much only because of the beautiful romantic scene I watched till end but expect their wedding but the way the drama , it let me confused to think that there would be a second season or not because he just looked her eyes and she had given him a smile gesture and drama got over. So I little bit confused

Awesome chemistry from Xukai & Chengxiao

Watched this drama a few times. Very enjoyable. The fight was exciting when the championship and the games start. Both actors have amazing chemistry from both Xukai and Chengxiao. The support roles were also well portrayed. A must watch.

Never heard of Chengxiao before this and wasn't really a fan of Xukai as well. But after this drama, I am now a fan of both of them. Hopefully they will be working together on more drama.

The BTS between Xukai & Chengxiao is even sweeter than the drama.

Honestly speaking I really loved the story

2021 Chinese drama that centers around the world of competitive esports and the relationships that develop between players. The drama tells the story of a female professional esports player named Tong Yao, played by actress Cheng Xiao, and her journey to become a champion.

The main leads were interesting
The female lead was nice character
The supporting characters were pretty good and I was actually quite interested in their story lines.

Dynamics of the esports community ,exploring themes such as teamwork ,rivalries and the pressure to perform.
Additionally, the drama also includes a sweet romantic storyline between Tong Yao and her teammate, Lu Sicheng, played by actor Zhang Jingyi.
The drama also features stunning visuals and special effects, which add to the excitement and intensity of the esports matches.

Overall, "Falling Into Your Smile" is an enjoyable drama that offers a fresh take on the sports genre. While it may not have the most groundbreaking or original storyline, it is well-executed and entertaining, with great performances from the cast. If you're a fan of esports or sports dramas in general, then "Falling Into Your Smile" is definitely worth checking out.

Cute and Fluffy. Great for a day when you just want something sweet.

I'm a bit obsessed with this show as a comfort show.
First, I have to give props to the animation in this show. I think it is my favorite of all the e-sport dramas. The game characters are game characters -- it's not the actors who are playing avatars of themselves or something like that. There are really good fight scenes, and the game avatars have a lot of expressions. You aren't getting this weird idea that the players are sucked into the ai world or anything like that, it's very clear that they are just pressing the keyboard and the mouse, but it's still fun, and you can see their effort. I think this is the only e-sport drama I've scene where it's just a game - a game they are playing professionally. So that is something that I love about this.
Next, it's just a cute show. I mean, the acting could be better, and I know for a fact that all the actors are better at acting than they do in this show (not that they are terrible here), but I can definitely tell that there are a lot of pauses, and stare downs and just weird silent moments that are a director's choice, not an actor's. I think it probably has to do with them filming during covid but, idk. Or it could just be a really purposeful choice by the director to make them have almost no expression on their face. I mean, for Xu Kai's character, I guess it makes sense, but Cheng Xiao's character has more screen time and we see more times where she's supposed to have different emotions and she's just... not giving it. And it's not that she can't, because sometimes she'll pull out a really good scene with a lot of depth, but then for the rest it's just ... stiff. So I'm going to blame the director.
There is also a lot of dubbing that was obvious in this, and that is a pet peeve of mine.
Okay, but enough about the flaws.
I love the characters just in general. So cute. And the team mates are hilarious. It's just a great show, especially for a rewatch.
This is my third favorite Xu Kai show so far (after Wonderland of Love and Arsenal Military Academy) and I definitely recommend.
